Excellent tour for cruise passengers with limited time.

Excellent tour if you have limited time, eg on a cruise like we were. Maggie described everything in great detail, both girls did a superb job driving in both chaotic heavy traffic and then through the pedestrian streets. They were extremely patient, were concerned for our comfort owing to the cool wind and answered all questions in a detailed manner. Excellent gelato ( two flavours),with a huge choice. If you want to see the main sights you couldn’t ask for better in the time allowed.

Andy was the best!

This tour was such a great way to see many sights that you might not be able to see if your visit is short. Our cart had 3 other guests and Andy made sure to cater to each persons questions and top sites they wanted to see. We had ample time at each of the spots to take photos and grab a gelato for the ride.

Absolutely Worth It!

I was skeptical about this given how expensive it was going to be for my wife and I ... but it was definitely worth it. Julia did a great job of prepping us for what could have been an overwhelming visit to the Basilica. And she kept us engaged and informed without being overbearing. Her experience guiding tours certainly shone through.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Skip-the-line Vatican tour: the best way to see the Vatican

Our guide Gabriel was excellent: extremely knowledgeable, funny, and full of corny jokes that kept the group laughing. He was also easy to spot in the crowds with his Star Wars flag. He explained what we would see in the Sistine Chapel before we went in, so we knew exactly what to look at once we were inside. The tour also took us through the passage into St. Peter's Basilica, which saved us a long walk and a second line, and made for a much easier day. We would only visit the Vatican with a tour guide. Highly recommend The Tour Guy, and ask for Gabriel!

We walked to the Capuchin Crypts near the meeting place. It was unsettling to visit, to say the least. Next we traveled by van outside the city to see the catacombs in San Callisto. Many steps underground to view the maze of tombs dating from the 2nd century! Fascinating!

Fascinating tour. There's quite a bit of walking, but it's well worth it. The Vatican museum is spectacular and the Sistine Chapel is a must see! The Basilica access was the second part of the tour. It would have been great to get the tickets for that part of the tour in advance, rather than having to go back to the tour office after the Vatican Museum tour. A minor inconvenience, but all in all a great tour.

Long Day, but worth it to see Positano/pompeii when staying in rome.

Know what you are getting into. This is a long day with a lot of travel for a relatively short time at each location. However, if you only have a day to see these places from rome, it is a great option. I recommend bringing your own lunch with you so that you can spend your time exploring positano instead of sitting in a restaurant. I believe we only had a couple hours there.

Great tour!

We loved this walking tour! We had a lot of fun and learned a lot. It was so nice to walk to city and see major sites at night when it was a little less crowded and much less hot. Our guide, Alena, was great! She was really nice, fun, and knowledgeable. The tour was a great mix of being taught by Alena and getting to walk around and see the site/take pictures for ourselves. We would definitely do this again, and I’d love to do another tour with Alena!
