This tour was fantastic and you get to see so much of Pompeii. Our guide Roxanne was amazing and so knowledgeable. She made seeing these ruins so fun! It’s about two hours on the dot and then you are able to freely explore and visit the museum. I would book this tour again!

An incredible trip to Pompeii

Be prepared to have your mind blown. Nothing you have seen on TV or in books comes close to visiting this incredible place. Our guide was exceptional and told the story of the city in a most compelling way. It is a huge site and even after a two hour guided tour we had only scratched the surface of what there is to see. I can’t recommend this tour highly enough.

Brilliant day out! Excellent tour guide and delicious lunch!

What a fantastic day!! The company were great at communicating all the pick up details etc and logistically all ran smoothly. Our guide in Pompei Sonia was wonderful! She led us around some amazing sights, kept us together and had so much knowledge and experience, I couldn't recommend her enough, I wish she was my tour guide for everything! Then we went to the tasting which was the perfect end to ojr trip. Beautiful quiet setting, lots of food ans wine and really well.organised. everything was delicious and allowed us to relax after the hustle and bustle of pompei and think about what we had just seen, all while in a gorgeous setting at the base of Vesuvius.

A Beautiful Day for the Pompeii/Herculaneum Tour

We were fortunate to have this tour on a beautiful October day. Our guide was very knowledgeable and enthusiastic about his field of expertise. He was very skilled at keeping the group together and accommodating slower guests over the cobblestones and rough pathways. At the end of the tour he was helpful in advising group members on transportation from Pompeii/ Herculaneum tour end to heir next location at the end of the day.

Amazing day

Wear solid shoes and sunscreen and be ready to experience ancient Roman cities -- which are amazingly similar to modern cities everywhere! This combination of Herculaneum plus Pompeii was perfect. Our guide said to call him Amadeus and he was terrific -- knowledgeable and fun and helpful (and he managed another couple in our group who had some issues very very well!).

Just right - perfect Pompeii experience

Our guide provided us just the right amount of information (and answered all questions), the walking route was just the right order (ended at the museum, started at the current excavation) with just the right amount of variety (saw remains of a shop, a house, a spa). The guide’s English was impeccable and he was very organized in getting us in and out of displays, keeping the group together, and keeping us moving. The tour is just over 2miles of walking with 2hrs of great information.

Loved Pompeii.

My husband and I did a private tour with an archaeologist and it was a great experience. It was so nice to have that individual attention. Teresa was a great storyteller and was excellent at getting around the crowds so we were in the most popular rooms by ourselves and got great photos. It was perfect fall weather which made the tour very comfortable and there were options to get water, including an ancient fountain on the site. Pompeii is a must see!!!

Great experience!

Amazing experience! We started early in the morning with a drive to Pompeii - the van was very clean and we fit about 7 people in there. The tour of Pompeii was very informative! I do wish we had some time to walk around on our own, but I can see how people might get lot in there. We then drove about 30 minutes to Sorrento with a stop for photos and lemon slush. It was great! Lunch in Sorrento was also great. We then drove back to Rome. Amazing tour overall, just be prepared for a very long day!

Pompeii Villa mysteries experience

Pompeii is very big. Our guide did a great job. I would definitely recommend having a Guide with you so that they can explain different things about the area having the guide was very beneficial. Otherwise we would’ve had no clue at most of the sites. Our guide helped bring it to life for us. She did a great job with the history.

Combination Pompeii and Vesuvius tour

I did the combination tour with Pompeii and Mount Vesuvius. After taking the guided tour in Pompeii, I can’t imagine trying to stumble my way through that amazing site without a guide. Their process is pretty easy to follow. Just make sure you’re there 15 minutes prior to the departure and everything will work out fine. There’s also a place to store your luggage for five dollars a bag. The Mount Vesuvius part of the tour wasn’t too physically taxing. They provide a shuttle and a guide for that as well. I would definitely recommend this to family and friends.
