Truly an amazing experience. Our guide Antonino was very knowledgeable and approachable. He did a great job at making it fun but also ensuring that everyone is well informed about expectations. Remember two key words: Meeting Point/Meeting Time. Positano and Amalfi are beautiful and the boat ride to each places were a highlight of the tour. I will definitely recommend to people I know.

Do not book with this company!!! They completely changed our itinerary on us the day of and took away our experience to visit my dream destination. Amalfi Coast was ripped from only our tour bus of 100 people. Everyone else was able to enjoy the amalfi coast and postiano while me and my tour went up and down mountains taking 7 hours to get to a destination. My ticket price was about $300 for two people and we were given 1 hour in Sorrento and 1 hour in Positano. I’m not even exaggerating when me and my mom were running around to just dip our toes in the water and run back to the bus. It was probably one of the worst experiences which is a shame because I was looking forward to this day trip the absolute most. The company offered a 25% refund and said if they need to make changes day of they can. Do not get this tour unless u want to waste $300!!!!!

Absolute nightmare of a tour that ruined out Italy vacation. We specifically purchased this tour to take a coastal cruise on the boat to see Almalfi Coast. Due to the company’s lack of organization from having to change bus driver we came across traffic and they cancelled our boat to Almalfi which was our most anticipated part of our trips City Wonders needs to do better with the refund. Only offered us 25% refund! Horrible tour with too much driving. Book with a diff company that offers train. You will get stuck with traffic with the disorganized planning and miss your boat.

A highlight of our trip! The day trip from Rome was seamless on an air conditioned bus! Our tour guide Heather was terrific and kept everyone on time! We took a boat to Positano and Amalfi and then back to Sorrento. Such beautiful scenes and Heather gave us a lot of great suggestions and information about the locations! It was a long day trip from Rome - 7am to 10:30pm, but it was worth it!

Kler was wonderful!!!!! She made it delightful. She was the star of the show. It was a very long day but we got to see Positano and Sorrento. I was always looking forward to Positano and I have to tell you I really enjoyed Sorrento the most! It’s flat and calmer and it doesn’t look like we’re gonna get hit by a vehicle coming around the corner! I really enjoyed Kler. She goes above and beyond. Please tip her when you go. She deserves it.

Long day but worth it. Our guide Ion did a great job. The bus had good a/c. Recommend wearing shoes to the edge of the beach in Positano if swimming. The sand is darker with pebbles and will burn your feet. Enjoy the lemon sorbet/gelato in Amalfi.

Paola was fantastic! Great communicator to be sure we knew the plan. Fierce advocate when we were stuck in traffic to be sure we could have the full experience. The destinations were worth seeing.

We had a disappointing experience with Paola, who was presented as the tour guide during our day trip from Rome, including ferry transfers from Salerno to Positano and Amalfi.
At the outset, while we were still on the bus, she informed us that no food or beverages were permitted due to the vehicle being new. We were asked to discard our coffee, even though we had just purchased it and had not yet had breakfast. As a diabetic, this created an uncomfortable and concerning situation.
Throughout the excursion, her manner felt rushed and somewhat inflexible. We were frequently reminded of time constraints, which made the experience feel more stressful than enjoyable and, at times, made us feel as though we were being managed rather than guided.
In Amalfi, the instructions provided regarding where to find limoncello were unclear. When we asked if she could remain with the group to provide guidance, she indicated this was not possible but did not offer further clarification or assistance.
Given the hot and humid conditions, a more welcoming and supportive approach would have greatly enhanced the experience. Unfortunately, the overall tone felt impersonal and left us disappointed.

Paola is one of our experienced guides and has consistently received excellent feedback from previous guests, with many 5-star reviews praising her professionalism and knowledge. For this reason, we are confident that she did not intend to come across as inflexible or impersonal, but was instead trying to ensure the tour ran smoothly and that the schedule was respected for the benefit of the entire group.
Regarding the request not to consume drinks on the coach, this is a policy set by the bus company, as food and beverages are not permitted on board. Our guides are required to communicate and enforce this rule, and we apologise that this was conveyed in a way that made you feel uncomfortable, particularly given your personal circumstances.
As this is a full-day group excursion covering several destinations, it is also important for the guide to remind guests of the schedule to ensure ferry departures and other timed services are not missed. We understand, however, that the way these reminders are delivered can greatly influence the overall experience.
We are also sorry that the guidance provided in Amalfi did not meet your expectations. Your comments regarding communication and guest support will be shared with both Paola and our Guide Management Team, as we are always looking for ways to enhance the experience we provide.

We loved our tour guide Michelle! She was fun and informative! We loved Sorrento and Positano! Beautiful, stunning towns! The only issue I had was that when I purchased the tickets it states 2 hours in each town to walk around. We were only given an hour and 45 minutes in Sorrento and an hour and a half in Positano. The extra half hour that is said you get and not to get it when every minute counts is extremely upsetting.

Fun experience with lots to see. The tour guide Alessandro was great and enhanced the experience, he had a lot of knowledge and a great personality. The bus driver Fabritsio got us the very safely with the quickest route and made the journey great. Would recommend

Absolute disaster from the start. We departed from Piazza de Poppolo at 7:20am and a short walk to the bus right outside of the city walls. Our bus could not get its doors to close so we had to wait, not too long but for approximately 10-15min for a replacement bus. The driver than drives for approximately 20-min only to pull into some type of truck stop to switch drivers. From there, an hour 30min drive to a rest area to grab drinks and use the restrooms. Felt like a tour guide scheme where they bring patrons to a business of interest - claimed the driver has to rest according to some bus driver rules…not sure about that one but let’s give them the benefit of the doubt. We drive towards Salerno only to get 10km away and be told that we are getting rerouted to Sorrento because the seas were too rough and our boat tour has been reassigned to a land tour and only to Positano. Mind you we booked and paid for Amalfi and Positano boat tour and limoncello tasting. We do some half baked limoncello stop which was another tourist trap outside of Sorrento. Then we were told that we needed to meet in the middle of the road somewhere outside of Positano to swap buses to a mini bus that can get us through Positano roads. Another 1hr or so. We finally make it to Positano at 3pm and are told we only have 2hrs and then heading back to the get back to the meeting point for the minibus to take us to the large bus - another hour… oh, almost forgot, while making arrangements for the mini buses on our way there, they had us kill 45min in Sorrento. Not enough time to stop and have a drink because the service is so slow. Ok, back to the end from Positano back to Rome. Made it back to Rome by 10pm. Approximately 12-13hrs on an uncomfortable bus with limited leg room and 2hrs in Positano. The tour leader said that the tour operator City Wonder would reimburse us 25%…Do you think that’s fair. One destination by bus when you paid for 2 destinations and by ferry boat for the scenic Amalfi coast view from the Mediterranean. We got duped! Tour leader did his best and nothing on him at all. The tour operator City Wonder needs to answer for stealing an entire day from our limited time in Rome and surrounding areas and not providing the services their customer paid for.

We took the day trip to Amalfi and Positano from Rome. It was a phenomenal experience, made even better from our guide for the day, Flavio. He was very knowledgeable with different historical facts about each city we visited, and gave great recommendations on navigating Rome. Highly recommend!

Most enjoyable(accept the hot weather) which was not in control of City Wonder. Gave you a taste of the Amalfi Coast. Was able to have lunch in Positano and a swim. Visit to Amalfi was shorter. I’ve been many times but I was with family who have never been. Our guide Chiara was wonderful and was able to manage a bus full on and off the ferry’s. Francisco our driver got us safely back and forth

Sonia our travel guide helped to ensure we all understood the times for drop off and take off. The first stop, bathroom break was at a place with some good sandwiches that didn’t have a crust, would recommend as a snack on the bus ride to the first cruise stop. Other than the time we went, hot, we had a great time. Take a swim suit because you have enough time to go for a dip on either stop. Plenty of shopping and eating eating opportunities at both stops. I’d recommend to sit at the front of the boat for the view and fresh air, but beware of this without sunblock.

Pari was an incredible tour guide! This was my first time visiting Rome and my first guided tour, and she made it such a memorable experience. She was so kind, accommodating, and always happy to answer every question we had. Her knowledge of Rome’s history was truly impressive, and she explained everything in a way that was interesting and easy to understand. You can tell she’s passionate about what she does. Thanks to Pari, I left with a much deeper appreciation for Rome and its history. I would highly recommend her to anyone visiting the city!

SO MUCH WASTED TIME!!!!!!!!!
You stand at the plaza, waiting for the staff to organize you and the hundreds of other people (semi/private) then you walk for ten minutes to the bus, the bus driver spends twenty minutes needing to turn around, then you drive for 30 minutes and pull over on the highway so the bus drivers can change. Then you drive for one hour, cant be longer because there are laws about how long a bus driver can drive without a break. so you stop for 20 minutes. then you drive for another 90 minutes, then you stand around waiting for the boat for 20 minutes. In the end, we got an hour at Positano and an hour at Amalfi. That much travel and no time to do anything but go into one shop and get a pizza or at stop two one shop and get amazing lemon slushie. Find a way to visit AMALFI from Naples!

This was the perfect way to get a taste and flavor for the Amalfi coast while also seeing the beautiful countryside of this part of Italy. It is a long day with many hours on a bus, but the drive is scenic. The guide, Flavio, was informative and entertaining. Communication was clear throughout. The boat portion is ferry rides along the coast. It's a wonderful way to see the beauty of the hillside communities. Great food options in Positano. Little tasters of Limoncello in Amalfi, which has more gelato options in a small area than you can want!

We started our morning early leave with a three-ish hour bus ride to the location of the ferry. We stopped once on the way there and the way back for bathroom
Breaks. From there we we took the ferry to Positiano and stayed there a few hours once you got off the ferry, there were different shops and restaurants you could go to. (All selling the same kind of things in my opinion). After Positiano, we took the ferry to amalfi Coast. We stayed here a few more hours. We were definitely expecting a wow factor whenever we got there, but honestly, it was very hot out (went In July) with lots of people with the same kind of shops and restaurants. In the description where it says “cruise” that is referring to the ferry ride. The lemonicello tasting was you walking up to a shop and getting maybe 1 ounce of lemonicello to try. We enjoyed our time however this is not something that we would do if we could decide again.
