- If you purchase a reduced ticket and you are not under 16 years old or a student under 26 years old with a valid student photo ID, the Vatican will deny your entry and you will not be able to visit the Vatican or join the tour.
- Knees and shoulders must be covered for both men and women to enter the Sistine Chapel.
- Please be aware that large bags/backpacks/suitcases are not permitted in the monument/ attraction.
- Children must be accompanied by an adult.
- Due to uneven surfaces, this tour is not suitable for those with walking disabilities or using a wheelchair.
- It is not possible to contact guides when they are inside the Vatican museums, it is the clients responsibility to stay with the guided tour group, if you lose your guide inside the Vatican, there is nothing we can do in this case.
- St. Peter's Basilica is subject to last minute closures for religious events, and the Papal audience on some Wednesday and Saturday mornings. In the event that it is closed if you have selected the option to visit St. Peter's Basilica you will have an extended tour of the Vatican museums. The Basilica is free to enter and we do not have any control in the event of these closures it is not possible to provide a refund under these circumstances.

The Vatican is huge and the museum collection is vast. You cannot see everything in one tour. It’s impossible.
What you can, and should, do is have a guide that understands how art and Papal history collide and that is the gift we received in our tour. Our guide taught us and quizzed us. I’m happy to say that my family and I passed and we will never forget that Michelangelo lived for 89 years. 🙂
I will come back and I will request the very same tour because it was just that good.

Really great tour. Deny was our guide and she had so much knowledge to share. The only downside was that it was so extremely crowded. But Deny moved us through it well.

The Vatican Sistine Chapel & St Peter's Basilica guided tour ist 100 percent worth it. The tour guide is very knowledgeable, give details when necessary and care for everybody's need --- toilet stops. At the end of the tour we are left inside St. Peter's Basilica so that we can continue to enjoy and take photos ... in our own pace.

Be patient! Our excellent tour guide, Maggie, kept our group of 20 on the move around much larger tour groups and always found a little corner to explain things to us. She had lots of info and photos to share with us. Thoroughly enjoyed the tour and the pace. Highly recommend!

Our tour guide Deborah was amazing! One of the best guides I've ever experienced. She is clearly passionate about her job and provides a level of insight from also working for the Vatican that is interesting and captivating. She kept the kids on the tour engaged and made the most of our time at the Vatican. There is so much to see and she used the time very efficiently and effectively. I would do this tour again if I knew Deborah was going to be the guide.

Our guide, Deny Martines, was the best guide we’ve ever had on a tour. She was so full of life and stories and information it’s hard to believe. She took the time to explain the paintings we would see inside later while we were outside and we could talk. She is the absolute best!!!!! Ask for her!!!

The Vatican was beyond amazing but the tour guide NOT in a few words the person needs some serious people skills. Do not pay extra for supposedly a VIP experience. Other tour companies provide the same services without the condescending attitude. What a waste of money.

Worth booking a tour! It is so crowded and so big, it would have been overwhelming and frustrating to do on your own. Maya Tours, Roen, our guide was excellent, extremely knowledgable and very engaging. He shared many historical facts that you may not ever be told in books. Wonderful experience!
