it works

it sucks that you have to pay such a crazy amount for something that the colosseum sells for much less. but for what is worth, this works, we were able to have our underground tour. This company plans the forum tour, then they leave you on your own to go to the colosseum and meet with the colosseum tour lead (not part of this company). Our spanish Forum tour with Tricia was very good.

Fantastic tour with Gabriele

Gabriele was my guide through the Galleria Borghese, and I had a fantastic time. Gabriele had encyclopedic knowledge of all the art, and put each piece in the context of its arrival at the Borghese. He tailored the tour to focus on my particular interests, while also making sure I understood how the gallery functioned as a seat of political power. Particularly interesting was both the rivalries between artists, and the rivalries between the great families. Gabriele made sure I got great views of the most crowded pieces of art, and also managed to get us into the ‘secret’ gardens. This tour was fun and informative, and Gabriele was passionate about the art and history.

Tour with my grandson

This is a wonderful experience to see the ancient ruins and an active volcano. Paula our tour guide did an excellent job of describing what were were going to see and everything you needed to know to keep you safe and on track. The guide in Pompeii did a very nice job of explaining everything we saw. She kept a pace that everyone was able to maintain. While it is a long day it is surely worth your time. This is not to be missed. Rhanks again to Paula and Giovanni our driver, for making this a memorable day.

Amazing service from Viatour!

This was an unguided, skip the line ticket. So, I expected a very low level of service. Boy, was I surprised. My wife needed a wheelchair to go through the museum. One of the guides provided us personal service into the museum and to the location in which we could rent wheelchairs. She saved us a lot of time. I’ve always had success with Viatour in other countries. This “tour” set even a higher standard. Oh, and the works in the museum are special. Of course, the Sistine Chapel and the Raphael Gallery are amazing, but don’t overlook the great Egyptian and Greek collections.

I booked this tour for our friends who were visiting Rome for the first time. The wife has a walking disability and uses a wheelchair to get around. They were anxious on how they get around the Vatican but they only had praises for their guide Franceska. She expertly navigated the Vatican Museum and Sistine Chapel seamlessly and comfortably for them. The Best!

If you are lucky enough to get Catalina as your tour guide, you are getting one of the most amazing and knowledgeable tour guides I have ever had the please of touring with…of course, seeing the Colosseum, Roman Forum and Palestine Hills was absolutely stunning, BUT having her as our tour guide made this tour an absolute dream, her telling us so much more of the history then you could ever get on your own. Bravo to Catalina!

A great self-guided tour option

When I was unable to get a ticket to tour the Colosseum directly, I looked for alternatives and came across the self-guided tour from Eco-Tours, and I'm glad I did. Locating the representative to get my ticket was easy and being able to navigate the Colosseum, Palatine Hill, and the Roman Forum at my own pace and with the downloadable guide was great. For the Colosseum, I had a 9 AM ticket with Arena. The lines were long but moved pretty quickly. While there were definitely a lot more people there at that time than I hoped, it also got more crowded throughout my hour inside, so I would echo recommendations to book an early time. I also took their advice to start at the Palatine Hill entrance instead of the Roman Forum, which was nice because I got to avoid the crowds for that portion since most people enter at the Roman Forum following their Colosseum visit. I ended up spending about 3 hours in total, and had I not booked a tour for the Vatican City in the afternoon, I would've spent more time at Palatine Hill and the Roman Forum.
