What a wonderful experience! We weren’t sure what to expect given the duration of the tour. Our tour assistant Iman and driver Luigi were exceptional! Communicative and thoughtful. They were so good with our kid, and kept him engaged through a long trip. Our first stop was Pompeii, which is honestly a must-do activity in Italy. Our guide in Pompeii (Romolo) was incredible. He really brought the place alive with detailed descriptions of the city ruins, walked us through a typical day in Pompeii life and explained to us what the day of the eruption must have been like. After this, we headed to Positano, where Iman arranged a reservation and guided us along bustling alleys to a seaside restaurant - where we had the best meal we experienced in Italy. We then stopped in Amalfi on the way back to Rome where we tasted some local gelato and sorbets.
Make no mistake, it’s a full day commitment (ours took 14 hours due to traffic etc), but it is totally worth it and leaves you with lasting memories.
Great job to the Welcome Italy team!
We had a great golf cart tour with Isaac. He was a great driver and gave us good information on what we were seeing. We loved how easy it was to get around Rome in a golf cart. We saw all of the sights we wanted to. Wonderful tour, highly recommend!!!
Very friendly and attentive drivers (Hi Adam!) constantly made sure we were comfortable on the scooters. Kids had fun switching off from the back of the scooter to the side car. A fun way to do a quick tour of the city. Lots of people on the street took pictures of us as we drove by or at traffic lights, so we got a lot of attention! Would recommend as a novel way to see the city.
My family and I, including two teenagers, had a great tour with Fabrizio. He was incredibly knowledgeable and gave us a great view of the city and gave us some great tidbits of other things to see and eat after the tour was over We definitely recommend for anyone looking and would do again. Thank you!
Bruno was amazing. We were early enough where the lines were very short, and there were many lines that we skipped entirely. Our guide was so knowledgeable and packed us full of information. He took us to the most important spaces and prepped us before entering areas using time in line to give us background information. They’re obviously is more you could see, but there’s only so much you can see within the 3.5 hour time span. I couldn’t have stayed longer. It was the perfect amount of time. This was truly worth the extra cost to be in a small group and to have so much information provided.
Alessandro was fantastic! Super knowledgeable, friendly, and great at adapting the tour to our interests. This was by far the most efficient way to see all the major highlights and get a feel for the city. It really helped us decide what we wanted to explore more in depth afterward. Highly recommend, especially for your first day in Rome or if you’re short on time.
This tour was fantastic, and our guide Massimo truly made it. He was incredibly knowledgeable, very friendly, and had a great sense of humor. He navigated us through the Vatican, Sistine Chapel, and St. Peter’s with impressive efficiency. It honestly felt like he knew everyone along the way. Despite the crowds, everything felt smooth and well-paced. His enthusiasm and storytelling made the experience even more memorable. Highly recommend!
Our tour was incredible! Vito was our guide and WOW- he was incredible!! He was so informative about everything, all the history, the art, etc., and soo passionate and engaging! Vito made our tour come to life! We will cherish the memories made today! 100% recommend this tour, especially if you can book with Vito!
Great experience, we did the 3 pm 4 hour tour, Achille is an amazing buggy driver and tour guide. He took us all around the city, down back streets and all the neat sites of the city. We saw and experienced the city like we never thought we would be able to do on our own. We had 4 adults in the 6 seater golf cart and was very comfortable. Highly recommend this tour, especially the 3 pm tour where you end it as the sun goes down (our tour was early march).
Marvelous day with our guide who was supposed to be a driver to get us to several activities in the limited time off the cruise ship and instead shared his life as a Roman citizen as we visited multiple locations and dined in a very limited window. We highly recommend this approach to seeing Rome on a port day.
We had an absolutely fantastic experience on this golf cart tour! Cristian was truly exceptional—warm, friendly, and incredibly knowledgeable. From the moment we started, he made the entire outing feel personal, sharing tailored insights and stories that made every stop more meaningful.
What really stood out was how thoughtful and accommodating he was, given that I was traveling with my elderly mother who has mobility issues.
I’d highly recommend it to anyone looking for a fun, informative, and personalized way to explore the area!
GREAT way to see the major sites in a short amount of time! We were only going to be in Rome for a day - so this was perfect!!! The guides were lovely and knowledgeable, and the driver was extremely attentive and knowledgeable as well!! The whole day was lovely - would highly recommend to others!!!!!
The day is planned very well- packing a lot into a short amount of time. We loved Eliza who was just so knowledgeable about Rome and it's history!!! She spent the morning with us at the Colosseum and the Forum. Then we had lunch at a lovely little cafe - very good pasta!! The afternoon was at the Vatican with Francesca who clearly is a pro! So nice to skip all of the lines and walk right in - and she knew all of the shortcuts!!!
Alfred was our driver - and such a wonderful person! He took great care of us for the day and went the extra mile to make certain we saw everything along the way that was of importance to us.
All in all - a wonderful day!!! Worth every penny!
