It was a great experience touring the coliseum. Our tour guide Sara was very helpful and friendly. Lots of interesting information she shared about the site and all its history. This tour is only of the coliseum but the ticket allows you into the Roman forum. Definitely a must try if you are considering.

The tour was great. Lots of information but not too much that it was overwhelming for our 10 year old. Helpful photos provided for meeting spot prior to tour. Small wait to get in at the scheduled time but nothing compared to those who had regular tickets. Our start time in early June was 9:30 on a hot day, getting an early start helps with the heat and crowd. My only feedback is that even with the headset it was challenging to hear and follow along with the guide. Also just a heads up that the large gift shop is upstairs and once you go down the stairs you cannot go back up.

Our guide Aphrodite was wonderful. She was very knowledgeable and pleasant. The visit very much benefits from having a great guide because it is literally ruins which are missing so many of the historic details. The story does not tell itself.

This was a great experience because of Milan. He was extremely kind and warm. His knowledge was superb and his background was very interesting. He made sure I was able to hear when he saw me struggling with the headset. He spoke slowly so he could make sure we understood everything. He made this tour very special for us!

Milan did a wonderful job by being patient with our small group and speaking slowly. He is very knowledgeable about the rich history of the Coliseum. His explanation of each period of time was detailed and colorful. His book props also helped put things into perspective.

There is no audio guide or map or guide to the palatine and forum. This is only colosseum guided tour with no audio or ear set. Simona was friendly and helpful with our group and answered all our questions

Our Colosseum Guided Tour focuses exclusively on the Colosseum (first and second levels). It does not include the Roman Forum or Palatine Hill. Those sites require a separate ticket or a longer tour. We apologize if this was not clear in the product description.
This is a live guided tour, not an audio guide. Live guides provide spoken commentary. We do provide headsets/earpieces for live tours so guests can hear clearly. If you did not receive one, that was an error on our part. We will investigate why headsets were not provided for your group and take corrective action.

To clarify: Our Colosseum Guided Tour focuses specifically on the Colosseum (first and second levels) and does not include the Roman Forum or Palatine Hill. Those sites require a separate ticket or a longer tour, which we also offer. The tour is designed to be concise (approximately 1 hour) for travelers with limited time.
Regarding the arena platform / underground area ("see underneath"): that is a premium, limited‑access ticket that sells out months in advance and is not part of this standard guided tour. We apologize if this was not clear in the description.

We reserved a tour for 17 people for 8:30 on 5/25 in April. Two days before I received a text from Discover Rome Tours that they only could give me 12pm and only outside but they would discount by 15 Euro. This greatly disrupted our plans and the limited tour was horrible and we didn’t even go complete around the outside of the coliseum. I would like a full refund!!

We see that you have posted two separate negative reviews for the same group booking. We will address the facts clearly.
Due to a last‑minute Colosseum rule change (beyond our control), your original full interior tour was no longer possible. We contacted you two days in advance and offered a full refund or an alternative.
Your contact person accepted the alternative (exterior tour + self‑guided entry tickets with a discount).
Your contact person failed to provide visitor names on time, miscalculated your group’s available time (1 hour total, not 2 as explained), and requested that the exterior tour be shortened – which is why it felt incomplete.
We provided valid entry tickets as promised. Whether your group used them is your responsibility.
A partial refund has already been issued to you as a goodwill gesture, despite you having accepted the alternative and participated in the shortened tour.
We have acted with integrity throughout. Future travelers can book with confidence.

It took us so long to find which person had our vouchers that we missed our tour completely. They said they only give you 15 minute window to be late and we were 30 minutes late by the time we found that person. It is amazing that you send a barcode rather than the QR code that is required to get in when a tour is booked. There is no reason that we have to go to a separate place to get a voucher when we have a barcode or a QR code should’ve been sent originally. And then when we did get our Pat paper with the QR code it says that it was €27 per person euros for both of us and we paid US$168. That mouth does not add up at all. Who do I talk to about a refund for this? And why did you guys charge to win a quarter times with the ticket price was? I would never use you guys for anything again and I would recommend no one else does. What a scam you guys have running.

Regarding the meeting point and timing:
Our instructions clearly state that you must arrive 15 minutes before the tour start time to check in. The tour itself lasts 75 minutes. You arrived 45 minutes after the meeting time – meaning you were 30 minutes late for the tour itself. We allow a 15‑minute grace window. Unfortunately, arriving any later makes it impossible to join.
Regarding the barcode vs. QR code:
Your QR code was sent digitally. If you had trouble locating our representative, the phone number provided in your voucher is available for real‑time assistance.
Regarding the price difference:
The official Colosseum entry ticket is €18–€24 per person. Your total of $168 USD for two people includes the guided tour service, headsets, booking fees, and our service fee. This is standard for all third‑party resellers and is clearly disclosed before purchase.
Regarding a refund:
Because you missed the tour due to late arrival, we cannot offer a refund. Please contact us directly with your booking reference if you believe there were extenuating circumstances.
