Itinerary
Meet a tour rep in front of Caffe Vergnano inside Termini Station and check in. Board your high-speed train and relax on the roughly 1.5–hour ride to Naples. Arrive at the Napoli Centrale station and meet your guide as you exit the train. Then, board your air-conditioned shuttle and head straight for Pompeii.
Take in views of the Gulf of Naples and Mount Vesuvius on the 75 minute drive to Pompeii. Skip the lines and crowds struggling to get into the Pompeii Archaeological Park, where you spend about two hours exploring with one a guided tour.
After Pompeii, get back in the shuttle and visit a winery on the slopes of Mount Vesuvius. Tour the winery, learn about local wine-producing methods, and enjoy wine tastings and a farm-to-table lunch.
Head back to the train station in Naples, where you board the return train for Termini Station in Rome.

Hardest part was finding initial guide at Termini train station- extreme left end of station. Once found, Lucas and further guides were fabulous. Train ride - great! Pompei - breathtaking. Wine tasting - so fun and a welcome relax and rest. Overall - great value and experience.

The travel was flawless- high speed train is the way to go to Naples. Bus ride short. Guide very knowledgeable about Pompeii. Wine tasting and lunch at winery were so fun and great way to finish the tour prior to heading back to Rome.

If you’re nervous about figuring out public transportation, and the train system, this is the tour for you.
We met our guides at the train station. They were holding a flag so they were easily found. They purchased our train tickets for us, walked us to the train and gave us our assigned seats. The train ride was so nice! There’s a train cart where you can get drinks and food and there’s restrooms between each train cart. The view from the train was also very beautiful.
Our guides took us to Pompeii and explained the history for us. Afterwards, we went to a local Vineyard and had wine and food. Our host at the winery was friendly and knowledgeable. The food was great. All in all… a beautiful winery and experience. Afterwards, our guide drove us back to the train station, put us on the train in our assigned seats again and we headed back to Rome.
It was a super easy and stress-free experience.

What a lovely experience. From meeting to returning we were well taken care of. Lucas managed the train trip and took care to make sure everyone’s questions were answered.
Victoria was so knowledgeable about Pompeii and connected with each guest. We had a great understanding of Pompeii and the continued work going on there.
Just when we thought it couldn’t get better we sat and enjoyed lunch at a beautiful winery. This was a top notch experience.

Everything is all arranged, even the train tickets, and we got to take the train to Naples, then a short bus ride into Pompeii. We had an audio guide with us in Pompeii who was incredibly knowledgeable and enjoyable. We then enjoyed a wine tasting and lunch at a gorgeous vineyard about 5-10 minutes away by bus, then headed back to the train and back to Rome. A full day well worth the trip and money.

It’s such a great tour! We were guided every step of the way- including getting On a train and taking a bus to Pompeii. The tour in Pompeii was so interesting and informative. We were able to buy wine and oil to ship home at the winery.

Very good tour. It’s a large archeological site
It’s difficult walking in large stones on the old roadways. There are many walls of the buildings and a few artifacts. I wish we could have seen more personal items of the inhabitants
The pyroclast of humans were very moving
Some other visitors did not return on time
I think there should be 2 guides at the train station so the group is not split. Our guide had to stay back to find them and we were left to find our way to platform car. We helped others find their way

Be prepared for the disorganized check-in at the Rome station. There were multiple ITtour representatives but no way to tell them apart. Only your guide can check you in. Also, no lines, just a crowd of people attempting to get to the rep. After that the seating assignments for the train appeared to be done at random.
The tour it self was well conducted and our guide was knowledgeable about the site and current state of the dig.

Very organized, you were given very clear directions to meet the tour leader and trip went very smoothly. There is a lot of walking on rocks and rough pavement and some stairs to navigate but was a worthwhile experience. The excavation is ongoing and it is amazing how much has been learned from it. Our guide was extremely knowledgeable, having grown up in the area and possessing a degree in history and archeology. She brought to life the story of Pompeii and its inhabitants.
The winery was beautiful and generous with its wines. Would definitely recommend this trip.

This was a great experience. Nina met us at the train station and Chiara met us in Pompeii. Both were excellent, especially "herding" the group. Chiara was charming, easy to understand and a wealth of information. It is alot of walking on uneven surfaces, so wear good shoes. The lunch at the winery was very nice and a beautiful setting. Nina met us back at the train station with another group. Again, charming, sweet and kept us all together. Shout out to Salvatore (the driver) navigating in the crazy traffic. Overall a wonderful day. Pompeii is not to be missed!

Travel by train was a quick way to get to Naples (1 hr 10 min). The bus coaches arrange by the tour co were on time picking us up from the train station and taking us to Pompei and the winery. The winery experience was wonderful and relaxing with beautiful surroundings. Well worth the extra money spent! Anotonio was a great tour guide!

Can't recommend this tour highly enough. We were looked after so well and the trip was seemless. Gianluca is very friendly and navigated us through the station and on to the train easily. On arrival in Naples we met Chiara our guide for Pompeii, who got us all on to the bus for the short journey to the site. She is very friendly and hugely knowledgeable. It was a great tour. Only wish it could have been longer but on to the vineyard for a fabulous lunch complete with paired wine. Then back to Termini station, again the whole operation was seemless. 5 stars and well worth the money

The tour lead Lucas (Gianluca) was friendly and funny, explained the day plans clearly and chaperoned everyone on the train ride to Naples. We met our group tour guide Aida there, who was just as friendly and very knowledgable, sharing history of Pompeii on the busride to the site. During the tour of excavation, she kept things interesting and at a good pace, giving the group time for brief pauses and questions. The winery visit was lovely, sitting outdoors under the shade of vines, tasting delicious wines, cheeses and meats. We all enjoyed the tour, from start to finish.

It was nice to have somebody meet us at the train station and take care of all the logistics. We then met her to our guide in Naples and took a bus to Pompeii. The tour was very informative and the lunch at the winery was great. Made for a long but good day
