Our tour guide Deborah was amazing! One of the best guides I've ever experienced. She is clearly passionate about her job and provides a level of insight from also working for the Vatican that is interesting and captivating. She kept the kids on the tour engaged and made the most of our time at the Vatican. There is so much to see and she used the time very efficiently and effectively. I would do this tour again if I knew Deborah was going to be the guide.

Great Colosseum Tour

Our tour of the Colosseum was easily one of the highlights of our trip. What really made it special, though, was our tour guide (Bogdan) He was incredibly knowledgeable but never overwhelming—he had this great way of bringing history to life with stories that actually stuck. What stood out most was his sense of humor. He kept the whole group laughing throughout, which made the experience feel relaxed and enjoyable rather than like a dry history lesson. Even during the more detailed parts, he kept things engaging and easy to follow. You could tell he genuinely loved what he was doing, and that energy made a huge difference. The time flew by, and we came away feeling like we’d learned a lot without ever getting bored. Highly recommend this tour—especially if you get a guide like him!

Coloseum and Roman Forum

The tour was detailed and we learnt a lot. The tour guides are very knowledgeable. They were friendly and patient towards the kids. The tour lasted for about 4 hours because of the long line to get into the Roman Forum and Palatine hill (didn't feel that long since the guide kept us engaged with historical stories). So if travelling with kids, would definitely get water and snacks.

Be prepared to walk/stand for two and a half to three hours, take water especially if you’re exploring in the hotter months. All together a really worthwhile tour, we would not have understood the half of it without a tour guide, valuable experience and allows fast track entry and access to areas that are hidden beneath the Coliseum which tell a bigger story.

Great trip for a taste of Pompeii and Sorrento

My family of three enjoyed this full day bus trip. The meeting point was easy to find as well as the guides. Michaela was our very friendly and informative guide who took special care to speak with each guest on the tour. This was our first visit to Pompeii and it was quite impressive. The Pompeii specific guide noted that one could spend 4-5 hours a day for 2-3 days to see the entire site. We had only about 2 hours at this stop so it was packed with details. I didn't realize Pompeii was such a large city and we saw mostly the city ruins vs the "human casts" that are only in the museum at the end of the tour. Michaela provided an option at Pompeii to pick up a take out pizza lunch and eat it on the bus on the drive to Sorrento. This option was provided as a time saving feature (or you can use time to get something to eat on your own in Sorrento later in the day) and we opted for it. My daughter and I shared a pizza which was ok and kept the hunger pangs at bay. There was a short 15min stop at a limoncello factory which from our prospective provided an opportunity for coastline photos and a lemon slushie (delicious) rather than the free liquor and candy samples. Upon arriving in Sorrento, we followed Michaela to get a view of the beach and take some photos. Afterwards, my husband and I elected to sit and relax on a beautiful terrace with a cool drink while my daughter walked around town and window shopped. The duration of the stop in Sorrento was similar to Pompeii and then we met back at the bus for the drive back to Rome. The bus was comfortable and the driver professional. Set your expectations for this trip (to get a taste of Pompeii and Sorrento) and you will enjoy it. We traveled in March which was also a bonus as the sites were not super crowded which can diminish the experience and increase the difficulty of staying with a group.

Wonderful experience! There is so much to see and take in, but our guide did an excellent job of highlighting the must-sees while maneuvering through the expansive museum. We zipped right through the lines, despite massive throngs of people. St. Peter’s is absolutely stunning—don’t miss going below to the grotto. Highly recommend this tour and experience.

Great tour! So much information. We did all 3 sltes - Vatican museums, Sistine Chapel and St Peter’s Basilica. Well worth booking ahead of visiting due to the queues on the day. Plus there were so many checkpoints to get through so it made this a lot easier with someone who knew what they were doing. Our guide was great. She had so much knowledge and information and was so passionate about the history! She was able to answer all the questions our group had and gave us a real image of what stories these magnificent building hold. Loved it.
