Tiziano was such a warm pleasant guide, very informative. It was a nice way to tour Trastevere have a few bites on the way with a background of the culture and learn things from a local that you wouldn’t get from any other media.

We loved this small-group food tour in Trastevere – it was one of the highlights of our time in Rome. We sampled a nice variety of local specialties, including pizza, pastries, cheeses, Italian salami, and gelato. We also learned about the history of the Roman fountains and even got a short lesson on how to use them properly, which was a fun local touch.
Our guide, Marco, really made the tour special. He was funny, pleasant, and very attentive to everyone in the group. He shared interesting bits of history about the area, taught us some Italian, and even explained how to spot authentic Roman food and real gelato versus the more touristy places. It was clear he truly enjoys sharing his country and its cuisine with visitors.
The only downside was on our side: we booked this tour just a few hours after an afternoon walking tour, so we were very tired by the evening. However, Marco’s energy and humor kept us going and made the experience thoroughly enjoyable.
Overall, this tour is a wonderful way to discover Roman street food and get to know Trastevere. I would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a fun, tasty, and authentic experience in Rome.

We loved this tour! Marco was our guide and he did a great job. He was funny and went at a nice, relaxing pace. He led us to five places around Trastevere to sample the local food (which was delicious) and taught us interesting things about the area and the food as we went. Would highly recommend!

We had a lovely small group tour of food and history with Marco. We enjoyed deli meats, cheese, bread, a little wine, a little beer, suppli, pizza, cannoli, and gelato while walking the streets of Trastevere. Great tour!

Our guide told us about the history of SPA, was very interesting, and general history of the place.
And we tried the Roman Suppli, and my mind was absolutely blown, I wish I could eat suppli all day everyday
We also tried the Roman Pizza and he explained to us about different Italian cuisine that it’s region based.
The guide also catered to our dietary needs / requirement
I recommend this food tour especially our guide for everyone and anyone visiting Rome

I’ve done other food tours — including one booked through Viator in 2024 — and unfortunately, this was the worst experience I’ve ever had, due in large part to our guide, Francesca.
We were a group of 8, joined by another group of 4, for a total of 12 people. I use a small, folding electric wheelchair, and my cousin was in a manual chair pushed by a family member. We were keeping pace with the group, navigating the streets just fine, and not causing any delays. Despite that, after just one stop, Francesca pulled me aside and “told me I should quit the tour”.
I was stunned. When I told her I intended to stay, she went to my father and said, “People like that shouldn’t be here.” When he asked what she meant, she replied, “People in a wheelchair.” It didn’t stop there — she complained to my mother, who told her firmly to drop it. Later, a woman from the other group told me Francesca had also been griping to them about “wheelchair users,” to which that guest rightly pointed out that her own family includes two wheelchair users.
It was clear Francesca didn’t want anyone with a disability on her tour, regardless of whether they were keeping up — which we were. Her behavior was appalling: discriminatory, unprofessional, and deeply offensive. And she didn’t just alienate our group — her overall attitude made everyone feel uncomfortable.
Beyond her behavior, the tour itself was unimpressive. It involved a long walk for just four stops, none of which offered what I’d consider true “street food”. All the food came from brick-and-mortar locations, and sadly, none of it was particularly good.
If you’re considering this tour, especially if you or someone in your party has a disability, I strongly urge you to avoid it — or at the very least, insist on a different guide. No one deserves to be treated the way we were.
We had a wonderful time. Our tour guide, Francesca, was amazing! Very personable. She did a great job with giving the historical details & pointing out things as we were passing through different areas. Very knowledge. The food we sampled was delicious and a good variety. Even though it was “samples” of the foods, there was more than enough and we were stuffed at the end. Thoroughly enjoyed & would recommend.

It was nice and hot for the tour. The food was good and the variety good. Portions were small but it all worked out in the end.
Our guide Marco gave us an exceptional introduction to Trastevere and its food and its nightlife. Heaps of food experiences and beer to wash it down. A great way to spend a few hours. Highly recommended.

Our guide Luca gave us an engaging tour through Trastevere with interesting personal insight and local history. My two older teen boys were relieved that Luca made it fun, with honest antidotes and unique stories, as they were dreading a boring tour. The street food stops were great and so glad he turned us on to Günther gelato!
Doing this food tour gave us an opportunity to see this side of Rome that we would not have seen. It was fun, the food was good, and the company of the other participants was enjoyable.
Our guide, Daniel, was great. Funny, smart and super knowledgeable about all things Rome and more importantly, food! Was great fun. We took our 9 year old and he enjoyed it too. Free treats helped.

Our tour was cancelled the night before because the guide was ill. I guess they don’t have anyone who can replace guides when they get sick. Instead we were offered the “same” tour a half an hour later. This tour was not in Trastevere like tour we booked- it was very different. The tour lasted 1 hour 45 min not 2 1/2 hours and part of it felt like the guide was delaying because it was going so fast. You couldn’t sit anywhere to eat the food you were sampling- and it was 97 degrees in Rome. The guide was knowledgeable and friendly. Just not what we paid for.

Unfortunately our guide's illness at the last minute was our of our control. We offered you a similar tour just in a different neighborhood just lovely as Trastevere. This is a street food tour, and not always places to seat are available (it's written at the description of the tour). We are very sorry you did not enjoy the experience to the fullest.
Great tour of the Trastevere area of Rome. Luca was an excellent host and very knowledgeable about the food and the area. The tour was well organized and we were served quickly at each food stop not to mention the food was delicious.
