This tour is a great way to hit the highlights of the Vatican. David is a very knowledgable guide and knows all the tips and tricks to give you the best views and overall experience. Being able to skip the line and take the shortcut to St Peter’s basilica is a great timesaver.

Our guide was a great story teller and very knowledgeable. It’s fast paced and you really need more time to absorb the history. If you aren’t right beside the guide you will miss what they are pointing to and describing.
No guide inside the Basilica.
I feel we received good value for our money. Passing everyone in the long lines is worth it!

Unfortunately we had a really bad experience with the tour today. Our tour guide Antonio had us run through the Vatican museum at a pace I could hardly keep up with as a pregnant woman. We did not stop at a single piece of art to hear the history of it and at several points we were worried we were losing the group because he was moving so fast. We ended up leaving the tour early because we could not keep up with his hyper fast talking and no opportunity to ask questions or slow down. We’re literally going to go back to the Vatican museums tomorrow on our own just so we can see it more slowly. To explain: The three hour tour was ultimately one hour spent inside the actual museums. We spent 1 entire hour just getting inside, taking a 10 min bathroom break, a 10 minute break on the terrace, and 10 minutes of listening to Antonio continue about how important it is we don’t lose him, and then 20 minutes hearing him explain the Sistine chapel before actually going in. Any other information about art he tried to share with us was only shared while walking and NEVER stopping to actually give us a chance to look at anything or even take a picture. Truly bad experience which sucks because our other tours in Italy through Viator have been wonderful. I don’t know if he was just running behind in his mind but this was unfortunately a horrible experience and certainly not worth $300+ we paid. We truly would have rather waited in the lines and in fact we will be doing that tomorrow so we can go back in and see it at our pace. Not worth your money.

We went with hopes that it would be amazing, and it really was! Our guide Sophia was knowledgeable and passionate about what she shared with us. And the way she included our 6 year old son, he was a quiet engaged angel the entire time. Very special experience, highly recommend.

The guide, Rica, miss knowledgeable and friendly. She shared an incredible amount of information throughout the tour. It was a small group and the headsets we used worked fairly well. There were several times where communication dropped, and we were unable to hear part of what she was saying. She also blended in with a crowd with no distinguishing beginner of whole forest to identify her when we got separated. It was a small group. It was still difficult to stay together in the crowd. Understandably due to the temperature, she would take her jacket on and off, so we never knew what looking for resulting in us being separated several times. I ended up looking for other tourists that were in our group, and we’re taller, in order to stay with the group. It was a pretty fast pace despite the crowd so some of the rooms we traveled through pretty quickly. One surprise was the fact that our tickets to Saint Andrews, Basilica or for 3 o’clock in the afternoon when our chore was at 9:30. We were all surprised at this event. Apparently, because the pope gives a Wednesday morning service, earlier access to the Basilica had to be bumped later. I think that should’ve been something that was made clear from the beginning when our tickets were booked. They was another family who had a tour of the Colosseum booked for 3 o’clock, and the only suggestion was to try to go to the Basilica at 2 o’clock. When we arrived it turned out we did not have group access because of the change in tickets. When I called to find out if there was a way we could skip the incredibly long line I was told we would have to wait in the line. This was frustrating because our understanding was it was a skipped the line ticket. After waiting in line for an hour, as we approached the entrance, we saw multiple tour groups being let in ahead of us. I have to admit that was a bit frustrating because it was not what we have been told. Overall, we enjoyed the tour.

I wouldn’t know what the experience was you canceled it about a week before I was supposed to go and was able to replace it. I tried to replace it before I left and after I got to Rome with 2 different tours that would have been a replacement but once again you canceled it 2 days before I left to go on my trip but I didn’t get that notice until the day before I was supposed to go on it needless to say you weren’t able to get me a different tour. Ruined my trip because that was one of the main things we had planned on seeing

The Tour was great but the quide let us go without clear instructions to exit the Sisteen Chapel. The tour included the Basilica. After the guide left we went to the cafeteria in the building and then could not find anyone who knew how to exit in the front of the basilica. I had been on a tour 2 years before so I knew there was a way to exit and quickly and easily enter the basilica. At that point several officials we found directed us out the rear entrance. This required a very long walk around to the front and a 45 minute line to enter the basilica. I walk with a cane to ease the pain of a sore hip so the walk was quite difficult. I was under the impression that I paid for no line either place.

I booked for 2 people a month ago by phone call as there was poor internet signal at the time. I booked a 9.30 am tour in line with the 5people in our party. Two days before, I was sent a message telling me the time had changed to 11.30 for ‘operational reasons’ . I replied by text, WhatsApp, email and on the app that I wished to retain the original booking. I had to message several times. Eventually they moved me back to 9.30, a rep had to escort us separately to get the tickets for the museum and the problem was that they had my name but not my partner’s and this could have caused a problem with ID. I wasn’t asked for his name when I booked. Why did they not just ask me for the name? Lots of palaver when common sense should have prevailed

What an amazing experience. This gets you to the front of the line so you aren’t wasting time waiting in line all day. The tour guide was amazing and so knowledgeable. Would for sure book this tour in the future. You see so much then have the option to go back and explore on your own so it’s very tailored to what you want.

At the beginning of our tour, our group was escorted to the museum where we met our guide. Everyone in our group was handed Basilica tickets except for me. I asked the employee from the tour company about this and she looked at her sheet and said that my tickets would be coming through WhatsApp.
We proceeded with the museum tour which was fantastic. Our guide was very knowledgeable and managed to keep us informed while navigating us through the crowds.
Unfortunately, as the museum portion ended I had not received the Basilica tickets through WhatsApp. I tried to contact the tour through the numbers and email provided, but it was hours before anyone replied. When they finally did get back to me, they said the tour group should have given me the tickets. I had already explained the situation so they said they would send them to me as a courtesy. The problem is, Basilica tickets are timed and mine were for 11:00 am, and the company did not respond to me until hours later, so the tickets were worthless.
I was really looking forward to the Basilica and this mess just ruined the experience for me.

Skip the Vatican museum tour. A sea of humanity and like being drug through for 2 hours and didn't retain anything hardly. Tour guide left us to exit on our own to go to the Sistine Chapel. She said we could then exit to go to basilica through the did on the right. WRONG! The guard would not let anyone through without the tour guide with us so we had to walk a very long way around out side, go through security again to enter the basilica. Bad, bad, laziness on the tour guide and company!

This historical tour brings together renaissance and the present day together in a classic and beautiful bouquet of education and exposure to the most iconic and historical decor, artistry, and history on holy grounds. The company assured our connection to the tour guide and what we experienced was sheer joy and amazement as my wife and I toured this epicenter of wonderment.
Every turn showcased relics, historical artifacts, and artwork that defined man’s impact on the world culturally and artistically. There was not a second that went wasted and we walked away with deep gratitude and divine inspiration from the magnificent and larger than life rooms and cathedral. We even walked to the top of the dome and were able to captured images of classic mosaics and Divinci’s hand painted dome. This was a spectacular tour and worth the price of admission.
Mark_H, May 2026
There is so much to see and experience in the designated time but our guide was good about sharing the wealth of information… although we sometimes had a little difficulty with the accent, it was a good tour and a must see in Rome.
T_N, May 2026
Informative. We had a great guide. Exhausting because of the crowd, and it was only in early May and great weather.
Kalea_S, May 2026
My first time in Italy and this experience was so surreal. The beginning of the tour was hectic because of the crowds outside the Vatican from other tour groups. We had to squeeze our way past the crowds and keep an eye on our tour guide so we don’t loose them. But this experience includes the fast pass so we got to by pass all the lines and go straight inside which was great! We were given head pieces to be able to hear our tour guide. Throughout the tour she gave us plenty of rest breaks and for us to regroup because it’s easy to get lost in the crowds of people inside. Be prepared to walk a bunch!! Once out of the Vatican we were headed for St. Peter’s basilica and also for that line we had the fast pass and by passed a lot. It’s confusing to get to the entrance of the basilica so I recommend asking security which we did. I recommend doing the earliest time for this tour we started at 8:30 AM and ended like at 3 PMish.
Rachelle_K, May 2026
The guide was very informative, friendly and set the right pace for the tour. I highly recommend this tour.
Ellis_B, May 2026
Excellent guide; very friendly and knowledgeable. Very busy attractions but well worth seeing. Seeing the queues for self guided, I wouldnt want to be standing in them so would book guided again.
Lori_M, May 2026
The tour operator walked us to the Vatican and got us quick entry. The Vatican guide was excellent as was the tour and the Sistine Chapel. However, the ticket to the Basilica put us in a long line which would have take 1-1/2 to enter so we didn't get to enter the Basilica due to the long wait time. Not worth getting the excursion
Fatina_Y, May 2026
Wow so wonderful beautiful to see the art, the Vatican and all of it. Our tour Mikala was lovely knowledgeable and our group was fun. I learned so much love her passion and story telling.
Gloria_L, May 2026
The tour guide was great but a bit rushed inside those museums, sometimes we can't locate her for every guide has the same flag
cynthia_s, May 2026
Guide did not help us exit museums to basilica.
Had access ticket to basilica but could not get in .
Emad_A, Apr 2026
Very well organized, the tour guide was professional and give excellent briefing and yet give us time to explore
ROBERT_J, Apr 2026
This was an excellent tour. My friends and I all enjoyed every bit of access to the Vatican we were given
Carol_T, Apr 2026
Amazing tour given by Federica. Happen to see her the next giving a tour in the colosseum. Wish I had known she gave those tours as well before I booked the self guided tour.
Ann_S, Apr 2026
Beautiful building’s and art - extremely crowded and rushed through so you can’t see some things you want to
Analisa_H, Apr 2026
Great tour with Gloria. Gave us tons of valuable information. Many stories of the art we were seeing and let us take our time while looking at the works of art. She made sure the group was together before moving on and answered all our questions. Excellent tour guide.
Alex_H, Apr 2026
We loves the tour, our only complaint was that we wish we had more time to explore! I recommend the morning tour if you can make it early
Courtney_R, Apr 2026
Great experience, very informative. Skip the line access is a must have for the museums and the basilica. Don’t miss it
Andrew_C, Apr 2026
Great tour. The place itself is incredibly busy so some bits were skipped or glossed over quickly. But with so much to see this was fine. Our tour guide paid attention to our two kids (8 and 11) and pointed out a lot of fun facts which kept them interested
David_A, Apr 2026
Wonderful! They brought us in past all those long lines, even the skip the line LINE. Very informative a pleasure to hear about all the artwork and the history.
