Avoid it at all costs. We saw no art just someone standing in front of a video screen. I can do that on YouTube.
The guide Francesca was knowledgeable and the tour of the museums was fabulous. The sistine chapel was rushed thru. No time to see it.
The tour of St Peter's Basilica and square was also fabulous.
This tour operator had everyone meet several blocks away from Vatican City and then walk slo g crowded streets in too large size groups to the museum. It was very disorganized began late and wasted time. The tour guides audio was difficult to hear. I don't recommend this tour. I attempted to get a partial refund for this after I left the guide fit the reasons stated and they refused. They are not an honest guest service oriented company.
Amazing experience! We saw so much! The tour took us by so much art and even further than the last tour I took. Tour guide was knowledgeable and very nice. Loved it!
We waited in line a lot which I didn’t expect as it’s advertised as skip the line. When our group finally got handed off to our guide inside the museum she told us because we were late she needed to cut our tour by 30 min.
The second part of our tour was with Francesco at the basilica and he was great, a wealth of knowledge.
Great tour. Highly recommend this guided tour, which gives a valuable added flavor to the experience.

We had a wonderful time exploring the Vatican, Sistine Chapel and St. Peter’s Basilica with David as our guide!
Despite having a schedule to keep, David was always calm, friendly and patient. He gave us plenty of time to take photos to our hearts’ content, never rushing or pushing us, but gently reminding us when it was time to move on.
What we appreciated most was his way of explaining the paintings, sculptures and history behind these magnificent places. His explanations were easy to understand, engaging and just the right amount of detail — enough for us to appreciate the history without feeling like we were sitting through a history lesson!
He also had a great sense of humour, bringing out both the funny and serious sides of history, which made the entire experience even more enjoyable.
Highly recommended! Thank you, David, for making our Vatican visit such a memorable one!
The site was interesting but the tour tour guide we had was difficult to understand. She had a strong Italian accent which our group found difficult.
We enjoyed our tour of the Vatican. This is basically the "highlights" of the Vatican as there is so much to see. Our guide was very knowledge. Just know it is very crowded and loud so the listening device on the tour is mediocre at best. It was also inconvenient to see the Vatican Museums and Sistine Chapel and then have to walk back to the tour office three blocks away to get the ticket to enter the Basilica. Then walk back to the Vatican to get into the Basilica. Overall it was a great experience but get ready for the crowds and lines.

Fascinating tour. There's quite a bit of walking, but it's well worth it. The Vatican museum is spectacular and the Sistine Chapel is a must see! The Basilica access was the second part of the tour. It would have been great to get the tickets for that part of the tour in advance, rather than having to go back to the tour office after the Vatican Museum tour. A minor inconvenience, but all in all a great tour.
Super interesting tour - extremely handy skipping the long line and being able to meet our tour guide inside. Would have been 5 stars however the over ear audio system used was not ideal. Would have been better with an in ear bud. Noise from other patrons and tours made it difficult to hear our tour guide at times.
The 3hr tour time does not include the Basilica. We were told to come back at 2:15 for the Basilica portion of the tour. Unfortunately, I had a different tour scheduled for 3:30 and was unable to go to the Basilica.
The beginning of the tour was a bit of a confusion because the original tour guide didn’t know what he was doing. He was looking for different groups of people and we got our tags. We were the blue tags. And then once we actually got started. It was about 30 minutes after we were originally told it would start. Then by time we got to the Vatican we stood around for about 20 minutes because the guy kept going back-and-forth back-and-forth trying to find more people. I’m not sure why he would’ve left that tour place without everybody. By the time we got into the Vatican, we were assigned different groups. As a single traveler, I was put into another group. By that time,
the tour had already started and I missed the beginning and never got our tour guide’s name. I completely missed the tour guide’s name, but she was very rude and was very abrupt. We were having trouble with our headsets and she was looking at us like we were wasting her time. She finally got a new transmitter and everything was OK for a while. She sounded so bored and so annoyed with us that it was a monotone. The only times she sounded animated at all when she was boasting that she had a private tour with Jeff Bezos one day and Jennifer Lopez on another day. Then halfway through the tour because we are running late. She’s rushing through all the rooms as much as you can rush in a thong of a crowd of tons of people and then at one of the rooms I think it was like room 26 she said OK give me your microphones and then she left. We are on our own to find a way out. She was so unprofessional. It wasn’t crazy. And I happen to notice from talking to the other people in the group. Nobody really wanted to tip her because she was so awful.
Then we were supposed to go back to the tour office to go for the Basilica tour at that point I just was over it. So I think that the way they handled the store was incredibly poor.
I am requesting immediate credit as I missed my next tour due to this one being so late or a credit to my credit card
Perfect way to skip the line and see the Vatican. Make sure to weak appropriate attire to cover knees and shoulders.
I booked a tour for the Vatican, the Basilica, and Sistine Chapel. The whole thing was supposed to take a no more than three hours. When we began the tour at 11 AM, we were told that we would need to go back to the meeting point/office around 2:30 PM to get our tickets for the Basilica. We had already made reservations for another tour that started at 2:30 PM. So, we never got to see the Sistine Chapel or the Basilica. We are extremely disappointed. I am a disabled veteran, living in Hawaii, almost 77 years old. I waited my whole life for this tour and now I don’t get to see what I paid for and what I came here for.
Honestly the guide was kind of boring, he spoke in a monotone, earpieces also didn’t work well, I had to keep holding it to my ear to make sure I could hear. But the crowds were also nuts, and that made it hard to hear as well.
Crowded!! Booked an English tour guide but could not understand him very well. The tour was hard to follow.
Try to get the earliest possible time to book the Vatican tour, plus skip the line is simply the best. Don’t get caught up with taking pictures. Be present to see the most beautiful frescos in the world. The basilica.is also a must too. One of the most moving and breathtaking days EVER.
Tour was subcontracted through Vivicos Tours and time changed on short notice to later start at 9:30 which was much more crowded than original 8:45 am booking. Waited 30 minutes at Vivicos office from 9:15 requested arrival and finally tour got to Vatican 10am. Group divided into 4 different tours and waited again until handed off to Vatican guide with no direct access to St. Peter's as advertised. Had to return to Vivicos office and walk back again to St. Peter's in afternoon. Vivicos poorly organized tour, lots of standing around waiting. Crowds into Vatican rooms were terrible when we finally entered at 10:15am. Tour guide into St. Peters in afternoon was more organized and gave short overview before leaving us to self explore. Not worth the cost for this combined tour.
Amazing sights, guide offered great history information and being able to skip the line was so much more efficient considering our limited time in Rome
The Vatican museum is incredible but too busy. Our tour was due to start at 11.30. We had a skip the line tour but it was very disorganised. The organisation at the entrance to the museum was chaotic. The museum tour guides have the same colour of flag with a number on it but sometimes the crowds made it so hard to get through some areas that it was easy to lose our guide. I’d recommend going first thing in the morning - it might not be so busy. Due to some issue, we were told we had to go back to the tour operator office for our Basilica tickets so had to cut our Vatican tour short. However, this review is 4* because nothing prepares you for the wonder that is the Basilica - it’s absolutely mind blowing. My partner went right up to the top of the dome and the views were amazing. I would go back to the Basilica again and again.
There is a lot to see. First part the Vatican is 2 and half hours long, then you have an hour break then meet back at meeting point to do the basilica. You have to have your shoulders covered when inside so bring a scarf if not wearing a top that covers shoulders.
The tour itself was excellent but there was a bit of trouble organizing the group for the second half of tour (Basilica access). We were required to meet back at the starting point and while everyone was present, the guides kept having to recount the attendees. It was a group of 20.
Most unorganised trip I have ever been at.
We arrived 30 minutes earlier to the meeting point yet the ticket distribution was delayed.
Once we got the tickets the tour guide changed like 3-4 times till we reach at the entrance of Vatican Museum. For more than 60 people crowd there was 1 only person guideing the road till Vatican Museum entrance which changed in between twice. Also the flag to recognise the guide changed at every interval. Once we entered the museum the ticket distribution was completely mismanaged and caused additional delay. The newly assigned tour guide for the museum was simply running fast without explaining throughout the tour. At times he was so fast that we lost the track of him as well. My parents who are senior citizen found it very difficult to manage with his pace. The tour was also concluded before the planned duration even after 30 mins delayed start.
My tour also included entrance to St. Peter Bascila. Tickets for that was also not provided at the beginning of the tour and we were asked to collect them from the office after the Vatican Museum tour. This was particularly very ridiculous and inconvenient.
Overall this was a worse, hectic, mismanaged and under organised tour ruining my complete experience for the museum.
We purchased the Vatican with basilica entrance. It was a very nice tour. Even though it was a down pour that day, and there were some delay from the start, we were in the Vatican within 30 minutes of the line. The tour guide was very informational. And tried to accommodate everyone’s need. With this ticket, we had immediate access to the basilica with NO line….. highly recommend if u want to save time.

Great experience and worth fast tracking the crazy queues. Knowledgable guide. Head set is totally frustrating and made it hard to keep our daughter’s attention as it fell off. Otherwise highly recommend
My tour time was changed without explanation. Placing me in a time of heavy rain tour guide proceeded with the group during the heavy storm, putting all customers in danger of injury. The tour was supposed to be two parts entrance to Vatican guided in the Basilica management said he explained to all customers they had to return to receive more tickets for the Basilica. There is no way in that weather, he could’ve communicated to everyone. Tour guide ended tour telling everybody it was over and goodbye. Would not recommend this company.
