This is a great tour to see the Vatican Museum and Sistine Chapel. St Peter's Basilica and Square were closed for Easter celebrations. This is a long tour but there is so much to see. Without a guide, we would have missed the significance of a lot of things.

A+ Recommendation
A must purchase if you want to get inside and see the Vatican Museums, Sistine Chapel and St Peter’s Basilica on the same day. It took us 20 minutes of walking to get inside, we walked past hundreds of people who were waiting in line for tickets. Our guide was fantastic and made the experience much more pleasant because he could navigate our easy entrance and knew the history. An A+ experience.

St. Peter’s Basilica
The tour was amazing. It really came to life with our tour guide, Alexandria (may be misspelled). She was very passionate about St. Peter’s Basilica and you could tell that the Vatican holds a special place in her heart. I’m super happy that we got her as our tour guide.

A great tour and very personable tour guide! We were unable to go into St. Peter’s Basilica due to Easter activities but the team was kind enough to refund 15€ due to this inconvenience. Highly recommend!

Vatican City
St. Peter's Basilica on a sunny day, Rome
  • Be prepared for security lines similar to those at airports, including metal detectors, bag scanners, and potentially long waits.

  • This is one of the most popular attractions in all of Italy, so crowds are nearly inevitable.

  • The Basilica of St. Peter has a strict dress code—no bare shoulders, midriffs, or knees—and you won't be allowed in unless you adhere to it.

  • A skip-the-line tour of the Vatican Museums that includes St. Peter's enables you to bypass the basilica's long entry lines; you still have to go through the security check.

  • Climbing the dome atop the Basilica to take in the fantastic views over St. Peter's Square, requires a ticket.
