As you explore, listen to informative commentary about artwork and architecture, plus the history of Vatican City.
Stop off at key exhibits throughout, including the Candelabra Gallery, the Gallery of Maps, and the Raphael Rooms. Then head to the Sistine Chapel to admire Michelangelo's beautiful ceiling fresco. As a sacred space, conversation is not permitted inside, so your guide will share its background before entry.
Finally, visit the stunning St. Peter's Basilica, with priority admission, where you can take your time exploring the complex (closed on Wednesdays).

- Knees and shoulders must be covered to enter the Vatican Museums, Sistine Chapel, and St. Peter’s Basilica. Guests not meeting the dress code may be refused entry. No hats or flip flops please.
- You are advised to be ready at the meeting point up to 15 minutes ahead of the start time to ensure a prompt start. After leaving the meeting point, your guide will bring you inside the Vatican Museums. Since we have a strict entrance time, in case of delays and late arrivals, we cannot guarantee that we will be able to add you to the group.
- Important: The 'Ticket Only' option covers admission fees only and does not include a guided tour nor access to the St. Peter's Basilica
- St. Peter’s Basilica is closed on Wednesday mornings until 1:30 PM due to the Papal Audience. Tours during this time will not include basilica entry Tours starting after 3:30 PM are not guaranteed entry into St. Peter’s Basilica.
- The Sistine Chapel is a place of worship, so visitors are not allowed to speak inside. Your guide will explain what you will see before entering.
- During state visits or special religious events, parts of the Vatican or St. Peter’s Basilica may close unexpectedly and without much notice.
- We regret that we are unable to accommodate guests with wheelchairs or any walking impairments that require special assistance on our group tours. We are also unable to accommodate strollers or baby carriages.

Yanera was an excellent tour guide. Very excited about being there and passionate about her work! This is the most expensive tour we have been on but it was worth the money to skip the line and get to learn from a fantastic tour guide!

Excellent tour from start to finish. Learned a lot and enjoyed our tour. Sistine chapel is so special and amazing to see Michelangelo’s masterpieces.
Our guide Samantha is professional, super nice and very knowledgeable about translating local history through key points of interest! Samantha was so kind to wait for some members of a family who were late and missed part of the tour. Well organized tour! Easy to find meeting point.

Overpriced tour that left alot to be desired. Got rescheduled from a small group to a bigger more crowded time. Tour operator was average, not great.
You are one of dozens of tour groups starting in 15 min intervals. (You skip non tour lines but wait on others tours). So "skip the lines" comes with an asterisk.
Got 3 minutes in the shoulder-to-shoulder Sistine chapel.
Did more waiting than touring. Look for a quality tour or visit off season.

This is an amazing tour and one of the most beautiful places on Earth. Please note that different tour guides take you on slightly different routes through the Vatican. If you have been before, you may not get to see exactly the same things that you saw last time. This can be both positive and negative. There are very few bathrooms so please take advantage when the opportunity comes.

Enza Broccoli was our guide. She was AMAZING!!!! She had so much knowledge and enthusiasm for everything. She showed us so many things in the three hours. It was a perfect pace for our teenage boys. I highly recommend this tour.

Be prepared for a long day and lots of walking. Guide was very good and got us past quite a few queues, however, it was still very crushed with not much time to look.
The overall experience was excellent though and a great experience. We learnt lots from the guide who was very experienced and knowledgeable.

Great walk through Vatican Museums. Nora did a great job of trying to keep us all together despite the crowds. It's hard to rate the pace of the tour because I think some people want to see every piece while others are ok with the highlights.

The Basilica was closed the day we toured. It would have been nice to have been notified prior to the start of the tour so we could have rescued for a different time.
Our tour guide was excellent and the rest of the tour was good.

Regarding the closure of St. Peter's Basilica, we do want to clarify that you booked your tour on a Wednesday. The Basilica is regularly closed to the public on Wednesday mornings so that the Pope can hold the weekly Papal Audience, and this routine weekly closure is explicitly noted right on our booking page.
Because this is a fixed Vatican schedule rather than a last-minute event, the tour is specifically designed to focus on the extensive museum galleries and the Sistine Chapel on Wednesdays. We provide this information upfront so guests can choose an alternative tour day if seeing the inside of the Basilica is a top priority.

Excellent tour. It only touches some of the Vatican Museum, but you are free to continue on your own if you desire. The Sistine Chapel and St. Peter's Basilica are amazing.

The Tour Guy lady responsible for check in outside of the Vatican museum entrance was very mean and unhelpful. It was unorganized and she was upset when folks would ask her for their group #.
Our guide was very kind and knowledgeable. Unfortunately after security she had us stand around her for at least 30 minutes (not exaggerating) while she showed us photos of the Sistine Chapel on her iPad and explained certain aspects. I understand the gesture since there is no talking in the chapel, but this was beyond excessive.
To be clear, I am only giving the low rating for how unkind the lady was at check-in. I expected more from The Tour Guy as a brand.

It was ok. There are large amounts of people experiencing these places so sometimes it is hard to get a photo and listen to the guide and keep up with where she has walked to. Guide was very knowledgeable and there’s a lot to get through but to me as non catholic it was just another museum and basilica As a non catholic I found the Sistine Chapel to be just another room although I understand it has great significance for Catholic religion.

Our tour of St. Peter’s Basilica and the Sistine Chapel with John was absolutely incredible. His knowledge, storytelling, and passion truly brought the history, architecture, and the artwork to life. You could feel how much he cared about what he was sharing, and it made the experience unforgettable.
However, I do need to mention the disappointing interaction with the woman who appeared to be the tour coordinator. She approached us in an unnecessarily rude manner and then seemed to go back and forth about what she did or didn’t say — which only added to the frustration. These tours are not cheap, and being treated that way was truly a shame.
Overall, John was excellent and made the tour worth it, but the attitude from the coordinator definitely impacted the experience.

The whole tour was very well organised and ran smoothly. We were so grateful to skip all the long queues. Maria was a fabulous guide. Clearly she is an expert in Vatican knowledge and history. It was our first time visiting the Vatican and we only had a short window to visit. We are absolutely thankful we booked this guided tour as the line to go into the Vatican must have been four hours long. It only took a short time for us to enter . Even though the Vatican was extremely crowded, our group of 19 managed to navigate our three hour tour staying all together. I believe everyone learned so much about all the history we were viewing! Our guide was extremely knowledgeable .
