As you explore, listen to informative commentary about artwork and architecture, plus the history of Vatican City.
Stop off at key exhibits throughout, including the Candelabra Gallery, the Gallery of Maps, and the Raphael Rooms. Then head to the Sistine Chapel to admire Michelangelo's beautiful ceiling fresco. As a sacred space, conversation is not permitted inside, so your guide will share its background before entry.
Finally, visit the stunning St. Peter's Basilica, with priority admission, where you can take your time exploring the complex (closed on Wednesdays).

- Knees and shoulders must be covered to enter the Vatican Museums, Sistine Chapel, and St. Peter’s Basilica. Guests not meeting the dress code may be refused entry. No hats or flip flops please.
- You are advised to be ready at the meeting point up to 15 minutes ahead of the start time to ensure a prompt start. After leaving the meeting point, your guide will bring you inside the Vatican Museums. Since we have a strict entrance time, in case of delays and late arrivals, we cannot guarantee that we will be able to add you to the group.
- Important: The 'Ticket Only' option covers admission fees only and does not include a guided tour nor access to the St. Peter's Basilica
- St. Peter’s Basilica is closed on Wednesday mornings until 1:30 PM due to the Papal Audience. Tours during this time will not include basilica entry Tours starting after 3:30 PM are not guaranteed entry into St. Peter’s Basilica.
- The Sistine Chapel is a place of worship, so visitors are not allowed to speak inside. Your guide will explain what you will see before entering.
- During state visits or special religious events, parts of the Vatican or St. Peter’s Basilica may close unexpectedly and without much notice.
- We regret that we are unable to accommodate guests with wheelchairs or any walking impairments that require special assistance on our group tours. We are also unable to accommodate strollers or baby carriages.

It was wonderful. Maria was very knowledgeable and told us many things about Vatican City and the Sistine chapel. Would totally recommend
It is a very thorough visit of the Vatican Museums and the Sistine Chapel. It also inclided quick overview of St. Petersburg Basilica.
Was quite disappointed with our guide Stefano, who although was a very nice man, unfortunately he spent too much time telling jokes and walking past the beautiful artefacts at too fast a pace so you couldn’t take pictures. He run out of time and so we had only 2 minutes in St Peter’s Basilica at the very end which was such a shame.
There is no AC in Vatican, our tour guide Stephan was very informative and knowledgeable about all the different things in Vatican.
The whole Vatican and Basilica are very busy. There are so many ppl and tour groups in the same area you really need to keep an eye on your guides flag. Our guide Simona was very knowledgeable and lovely, knowing the crowds she kept us together, kept us moving through the skip the line sections, which is a must. Like all museums you do need more time to browse as it was a very quick highlights tour. Our stop in the Sistine chapel was incredible. Just so stunningly beautiful. Then St Peters basilica took your breath away. The largest Catholic church in the world, the history, artifacts and just grandeur of the place is amazing. After leaving our guide we were able to continue looking around, going down to the Pope's crypt, listen to a midday mass and enjoy the serenity. Great way to see this special area.
It was good being able to skip the long cue that had formed outside the Vatican. Our guide was very passionate about the experience. The only problem was it was very crowded and at times very hot and humid.
Marco was very knowledgeable and patient with the group. He showed and explained key details. His height also helped finding him because it is very crowded.

Our Skip-The-Line Vatican Museums, Sistine Chapel & Basilica Tour was truly an unforgettable experience and an absolute must while in Rome!
One thing to keep in mind is that the Vatican is going to be very crowded no matter what, especially during the busy season. That being said, having skip-the-line access definitely helped us get inside quicker and made the entire process much easier.
Our guide was fantastic! He was so fun, knowledgeable, and full of energy, and he had a wonderful way of knowing when to keep things moving and when to give us a moment to simply stop and take everything in. There is SO much history, art, and beauty around you, and we really appreciated his patience and the way he allowed us to experience those special moments without feeling rushed.
The entire tour was incredible, but St. Peter’s Basilica was unlike anything I have ever seen in this world. It is nearly impossible to put into words how breathtaking it is in person. We were able to stay inside the Basilica after our tour ended, which I highly recommend if you have the opportunity. Having that extra time to walk around, take everything in, and truly appreciate where we were was magical.
It was one of those rare travel moments where you realize you are experiencing something you may never experience again. Truly a once-in-a-lifetime feeling and a memory we will treasure forever

Easy to find the guide. Really knowledge and articulate. Weather (not in her control) was very hot, but she did a good job moving quickly through the hotter areas and into the cooler ones. All in all, well done!

We had a very good experience on this Vatican tour. It was comprehensive, well organized, and the skip-the-line access made a huge difference.
The group size was just right (12 people), which made it easy to follow along and enjoy the experience. The itinerary covered all the highlights, including the Vatican Museums, the Sistine Chapel, St. Peter’s Basilica, and the most important areas along the way.
What truly made this tour exceptional was our guide, Sophia. As an official Vatican guide with a background in history, she was incredibly knowledgeable and brought every part of the visit to life. She explained what we were seeing while sharing fascinating historical context, stories, and details that made the experience much more meaningful. She was also patient, engaging, and always happy to answer questions or provide additional explanations.

Yanera was an excellent tour guide. Very excited about being there and passionate about her work! This is the most expensive tour we have been on but it was worth the money to skip the line and get to learn from a fantastic tour guide!

Overpriced tour that left alot to be desired. Got rescheduled from a small group to a bigger more crowded time. Tour operator was average, not great.
You are one of dozens of tour groups starting in 15 min intervals. (You skip non tour lines but wait on others tours). So "skip the lines" comes with an asterisk.
Got 3 minutes in the shoulder-to-shoulder Sistine chapel.
Did more waiting than touring. Look for a quality tour or visit off season.

Amazing tour through Vatican, Sistine Chaple, and St Peters Basilica. Sophia was a lovely guide and very helpful throughout, including lunch recommendation afterwards!
This is an amazing tour and one of the most beautiful places on Earth. Please note that different tour guides take you on slightly different routes through the Vatican. If you have been before, you may not get to see exactly the same things that you saw last time. This can be both positive and negative. There are very few bathrooms so please take advantage when the opportunity comes.
Enza Broccoli was our guide. She was AMAZING!!!! She had so much knowledge and enthusiasm for everything. She showed us so many things in the three hours. It was a perfect pace for our teenage boys. I highly recommend this tour.

Be prepared for a long day and lots of walking. Guide was very good and got us past quite a few queues, however, it was still very crushed with not much time to look.
The overall experience was excellent though and a great experience. We learnt lots from the guide who was very experienced and knowledgeable.

Great walk through Vatican Museums. Nora did a great job of trying to keep us all together despite the crowds. It's hard to rate the pace of the tour because I think some people want to see every piece while others are ok with the highlights.
Very informative! I’ve been to the Vatican and Sistine chapel two times prior and still learned a ton! Our guide was sweet and knowledgeable and made my boyfriend’s first Vatican experience perfect. Mamma Mia!

The Basilica was closed the day we toured. It would have been nice to have been notified prior to the start of the tour so we could have rescued for a different time.
Our tour guide was excellent and the rest of the tour was good.

Regarding the closure of St. Peter's Basilica, we do want to clarify that you booked your tour on a Wednesday. The Basilica is regularly closed to the public on Wednesday mornings so that the Pope can hold the weekly Papal Audience, and this routine weekly closure is explicitly noted right on our booking page.
Because this is a fixed Vatican schedule rather than a last-minute event, the tour is specifically designed to focus on the extensive museum galleries and the Sistine Chapel on Wednesdays. We provide this information upfront so guests can choose an alternative tour day if seeing the inside of the Basilica is a top priority.

Excellent tour. It only touches some of the Vatican Museum, but you are free to continue on your own if you desire. The Sistine Chapel and St. Peter's Basilica are amazing.
Excellent to have skip the line tickets! Seeing the very long lines made this aspect worth it. Our tour guide was excellent; informative without overloading us with too much. It has piqued our interest to learn more. It also helped us to piece together things we had seen and learnt from other cities we visited in Italy.
