Your tour begins at an office location around the corner from the Vatican entrance. Meet your guide and the rest of your group (up to 12 people).
Head over to the Vatican Museums and breeze right past the crowds at the door: Tours include skip-the-line admission tickets. The collections are vast, but your guide will direct you to the main highlights, including the Gallery of Map.
The guide will explain the artworks and the Vatican’s papal history during the 90-minute visit. Headsets are provided, so you’ll be able to move around freely.
From there, head to the Vatican's star attraction: the Sistine Chapel. Listen to your guide explain the intricacies of Michelangelo’s famous fresco.
Last stop is St. Peter’s Basilica, where you’ll see Michelangelo’s *La Pietà* and Bernini’s massive gilded baldachin. Tours end inside the basilica’s stunning interior, leaving you free to continue your visit.

- MEETING POINT IS VIA SANTAMAURA 14b, What A Life Tours
- St. Peter's Basilica is an active parish and therefore subject to last-minute closures due to mass or other religious events. In these cases, we will offer an extended tour of the Vatican Museums (including areas normally not part of the tour). No refunds are issued for unexpected closures.
- All participants (including under 18s) must bring valid ID.
- All participants MUST cover their knees and shoulders during visits to religious sites, the Vatican Museums included. You may risk refused entry if you fail to comply with these dress requirements.
- Please notice that we are not responsible for the number of visitors the Vatican Museums allow inside.
- Large umbrellas are not allowed, please leave these at your accommodations.
- Your tour voucher is valid only for the day and time reserved. We’re unable to accommodate late arrivals due to a strictly timed entrance ticket to the Vatican Museums. Missed tours or tickets due to late arrivals are non-refundable. Please allow extra time to reach the meeting point as Rome's streets can be confusing. Meeting time is 15 minutes before the start time of the tour.
- ACCESSIBILITY: While the Vatican Museums are equipped with elevators for wheelchair access, they are not conveniently located on the group tour route and only give access to specific sections of the Museums. As a result, we cannot accommodate wheelchairs or walkers on this tour.
- Passport/ID : Due to Vatican security regulations, we strongly recommend you bring a picture of your ID document with you for all participants, in case the Vatican guards check.

We had a wonderful time visiting the Vatican. Our guide, Barbara was very knowledgeable and engaging. She had a good pace and navigated the crowds well utilizing shade to stop and talk to us. Ear pieces worked well.

This Skip-the-Line Vatican tour was absolutely outstanding and one of the best experiences of our trip! Although I can't remember our guide's name, he was truly AMAZING!
His knowledge of the Vatican Museums, St. Peter's Basilica, and the incredible history behind everything we saw was beyond impressive. He brought the art, architecture, and history to life in such an engaging and memorable way. His energy was contagious, and he had a wonderful way of telling stories that kept our entire group completely captivated from beginning to end.

This was perfect. Valentina was the best tour guide and kept my kids engaged the whole time. She added so much value to this experience for us. Mario is an amazing tour guide. He has a wealth of knowledge regarding biblical history which helped us understand everything we encountered during the tour. The Vatican is huge but having Mario was extremely helpful. He even gave my daughter the book he used to explain what we would see when we entered the chapel. She said it was the best birthday gift ever! Mario was able to get us past the long lines and he allowed us time to take pictures during the tour. Emma was a fantastic tour guide. Easy to follow, understand and had great knowledge. Her english was flawless. This is a LONG tour- be aware. Our feet were killing us, but it was a great time. Expensive, but we truly did skip most of the line to get in (just waited a few minutes for security).

The tour guide was excellent. Very knowledgeable. However, it was during a severe heatwave and after 2 hours, everyone on the tour was clearly struggling with the heat, but the guide did not read the room to keep things moving. Multiple tours walked past ours. It was actually longer than the advertised tour length. At the end outside, after the guide twice said goodbye to everyone, he then kept talking, and half the tour just walked away to get out of the extreme heat.

Our guide Mario meet us at the office at scheduled time. He escorted us through security at the Vatican city. Be sure to bring your passport because the vatican. He was excellent historian and his theatrical talent made for a intriguing story telling experience. His understanding of the religious history of the vatican gave relevancy to its symbols, architecture and art. He was like touring with a university professor that loved to joke and involved everyone with his questions. Thank you for a great tour!

As for passports, the Vatican is not as strict as the Colosseum. Therefore, photos of IDs or any other form of photo identification are sufficient for individuals who prefer not to travel around with their passports.

Valentina was so knowledgeable about everything. She had a fun personality and we were given plenty of time to view everything. Bring water, wear lightweight clothing and a fan! Very hot! Also, wear good walking shoes. Tons of walking, steps and standing. An incredible experience, many wonderful sites.

Very knowledgeable guide. She had a real passion for the art. We found that she carefully planned out what we needed to see in the time we had. We did not feel rushed. It was great!

The tour guide Cindy, was absolutely fantastic, she was very knowledgeable, friendly and professional. It was extremely hot the only draw back, but truly enjoyed the tour

Impressive and awe-inspiring tour of the Vatican Museum, Sistine Chapel and St. Peters Basilica! It’s almost overwhelming to be there for the first time! We relied heavily on our awesome guide Eugene to help usher us through the daunting entrance and security set up and to help us understand the significance of much of the art. The museum is so so big and crowded that I think it would have been almost impossible without a guide! It was very hot and the Vatican staff really push you along, definitely no time to linger. Heavily regulated time in the Sistine Chapel (10 minutes?) which disappointed us to be ushered in and out (also really loud in there despite rules not to talk) but then as much time as we wanted in the Basilica. Overall just an incredible experience in total, for sure a must see Ilene in Rome!

You're absolutely right; the Vatican can be very busy and highly regulated by the Vatican custodians, especially in peak season, and timing inside certain areas like the Sistine Chapel is limited by strict guidelines set by the custodians. Nevertheless, we’re glad that despite this, you were still able to fully enjoy the experience and spend meaningful time inside St. Peter’s Basilica.
