Your tour begins at an office location around the corner from the Vatican entrance. Meet your guide and the rest of your group (up to 12 people).
Head over to the Vatican Museums and breeze right past the crowds at the door: Tours include skip-the-line admission tickets. The collections are vast, but your guide will direct you to the main highlights, including the Gallery of Map.
The guide will explain the artworks and the Vatican’s papal history during the 90-minute visit. Headsets are provided, so you’ll be able to move around freely.
From there, head to the Vatican's star attraction: the Sistine Chapel. Listen to your guide explain the intricacies of Michelangelo’s famous fresco.
Last stop is St. Peter’s Basilica, where you’ll see Michelangelo’s *La Pietà* and Bernini’s massive gilded baldachin. Tours end inside the basilica’s stunning interior, leaving you free to continue your visit.

- St. Peter's Basilica is an active parish and therefore subject to last-minute closures due to mass or other religious events. In these cases, we will offer an extended tour of the Vatican Museums (including areas normally not part of the tour). No refunds are issued for unexpected closures.
- All participants (including under 18s) must bring valid ID.
- All participants MUST cover their knees and shoulders during visits to religious sites, the Vatican Museums included. You may risk refused entry if you fail to comply with these dress requirements.
- Please notice that we are not responsible for the number of visitors the Vatican Museums allow inside.
- Large umbrellas are not allowed, please leave these at your accommodations.
- Your tour voucher is valid only for the day and time reserved. We’re unable to accommodate late arrivals due to a strictly timed entrance ticket to the Vatican Museums. Missed tours or tickets due to late arrivals are non-refundable. Please allow extra time to reach the meeting point as Rome's streets can be confusing. Meeting time is 15 minutes before the start time of the tour.
- ACCESSIBILITY: While the Vatican Museums are equipped with elevators for wheelchair access, they are not conveniently located on the group tour route and only give access to specific sections of the Museums. As a result, we cannot accommodate wheelchairs or walkers on this tour.
- Passport/ID : Due to Vatican security regulations, we strongly recommend you bring a picture of your ID document with you for all participants, in case the Vatican guards check.

We really enjoyed it. Smaragda, our guide, is evidently very knowledgeable and was able to answer all of our questions. Personally, it has made me want to learn more about St. Peter and the popes!

The tour guide was excellent. Very knowledgeable. However, it was during a severe heatwave and after 2 hours, everyone on the tour was clearly struggling with the heat, but the guide did not read the room to keep things moving. Multiple tours walked past ours. It was actually longer than the advertised tour length. At the end outside, after the guide twice said goodbye to everyone, he then kept talking, and half the tour just walked away to get out of the extreme heat.

Our guide Mario meet us at the office at scheduled time. He escorted us through security at the Vatican city. Be sure to bring your passport because the vatican. He was excellent historian and his theatrical talent made for a intriguing story telling experience. His understanding of the religious history of the vatican gave relevancy to its symbols, architecture and art. He was like touring with a university professor that loved to joke and involved everyone with his questions. Thank you for a great tour!

Valentina was so knowledgeable about everything. She had a fun personality and we were given plenty of time to view everything. Bring water, wear lightweight clothing and a fan! Very hot! Also, wear good walking shoes. Tons of walking, steps and standing. An incredible experience, many wonderful sites.

Impressive and awe-inspiring tour of the Vatican Museum, Sistine Chapel and St. Peters Basilica! It’s almost overwhelming to be there for the first time! We relied heavily on our awesome guide Eugene to help usher us through the daunting entrance and security set up and to help us understand the significance of much of the art. The museum is so so big and crowded that I think it would have been almost impossible without a guide! It was very hot and the Vatican staff really push you along, definitely no time to linger. Heavily regulated time in the Sistine Chapel (10 minutes?) which disappointed us to be ushered in and out (also really loud in there despite rules not to talk) but then as much time as we wanted in the Basilica. Overall just an incredible experience in total, for sure a must see Ilene in Rome!

This was an incredible tour and our guide Maria was fantastic! She was so knowledgeable and filled in so many details of thousands of artifacts, tapestries, Roman leaders and dates of when various buildings and items were built, painted, reconstructed, etc. This trip is a must if you're headed to Rome!

Our Vatican tour is designed to last approximately three hours and covers all of the site's major highlights. The itinerary is carefully timed to ensure guests experience as much as possible, with a relaxed strolling pace and opportunities to stop for photos along the way.
That said, due to the amount covered during the tour, there simply isn't enough time to accommodate extended photography stops or the ideal conditions often sought for professional-quality shots. If photography was your primary objective when visiting the Vatican, exploring independently at your own pace may have been a better option, allowing you the flexibility and time needed to capture all the images you wanted.

Good tour guide very interesting but way over crowded wish i came in off season. And again with the fake exit signs that lead you to tourest shops. But its like that all over italy. Not good for fires

We have been on many tours and finally learned that the small group, skip the line tours are well worth the extra cost.
Not only can you clearly understand your guide but skipping the line, especially in Rome is a BIG deal. Also we were able to get to know the people we were on the tour with and that means a lot to us. The very best part is you get the best selection of tour guides. Our guide Elaine is a self proclaimed Vatican geek and gave us so much additional information that I know we would not have received on a “basic” tour. If you book this tour, and you should, you really should ask for Elaine as your guide. The tour was breathtaking.

Valentina was a professional with loads of experience and a love of the Vatican and art. She was very helpful on the customs and rules tho folks are not much for following anymore. Too bad the sisteen chapel used to be revered now it’s just another attraction.

Give yourself extra time to allow for heavy day traffic. We almost missed this wonderful tour! The tour guide was native Roma and extremely knowledgeable. We chose a small group of ten tour. It was more expensive but well worth being able to skirt around large groups with guards more willing to open a gate. The Vatican Museum was amazing. How many times can you day "Wow".?So glad we did this. The tour guide brought Michaelangelo to life before we even entered the Sistine Chapel. St. Peters Basilica is more beautiful than imagined. Had a wonderful time learning so much about Roma!

The lines were incredibly long so we were glad to have a skip-the-line tour. Our tour guide, Fabrizio, was amazing. He knew so much history and brought each room we went through to life. I liked that he didn’t sugar coat the history, but told us the truth about what happened in the past (who knew so many popes had so many concubines?!). I would definitely recommend this tour to anyone.

Elaine was an amazing guide from beginning to end! She knew all the tricks to get us through the busy crowds and her sense of humor along with her vast knowledge made this excursion so worth it! Our tour guide Valentina was absolutely amazing! She was extremely knowledgeable and answered all of our questions during the tour. Additionally, she ensured that all members of our group were accounted for at all times, which is an amazing accomplishment given the sheer number of people that were present. The instructions pertaining to when and where to meet prior to the tour were clear and easy to follow and the radio equipment used during the tour worked flawlessly. We would absolutely take this tour again and recommend it to anyone that wants an in-depth tour of the Vatican and Sistine Chapel.

Having a guided tour (I believe it was Elena) made what could have been confusing and a little boring very fun! Hard to know what you are looking at without someone to help. Loved the tour and the explanations!
