Most enjoyable(accept the hot weather) which was not in control of City Wonder. Gave you a taste of the Amalfi Coast. Was able to have lunch in Positano and a swim. Visit to Amalfi was shorter. I’ve been many times but I was with family who have never been. Our guide Chiara was wonderful and was able to manage a bus full on and off the ferry’s. Francisco our driver got us safely back and forth

Switched Up - Tour was Still Great!

We had this tour booked about 50 days prior to our trip to Rome. About 3 days before our tour, the tour operator reached out and advised that for whatever reason two previous tours were not being allowed inside the Coloessum. Due to that, they offered us a full refund or an alternate tour outside and Palentine Hill and the Forum, along with self touring the Coloessum along with a partial refund. We decided to take the alternate tour, as we were still coming to Rome, and it was amazing. We really liked the tour guide and the fact that the tour company did their best to make up for a not so ideal situation. The outdoor tour was extensive and we all came away with some great facts about the Forum and history of Rome. Super impressed and would do it again.

Stunning day trip (solo female traveller)

Solo female traveller here. This was such a fantastic trip! Pompeii is stunning and Mt Vesuvius was gorgeous. The meeting point is easy to find and in a safe location (which helps since it’s at an early time) and if you don’t manage to get breakfast before the tour, they stop at a cafe with sandwiches and coffee about 50 mins after the bus departs. Our guide, Marius, really made sure that everyone felt comfortable the whole way, and we had a pretty tricky group - a family suddenly decided to leave halfway to visit relatives in Naples, and someone lost their phone while hiking - but Marius handled it so expertly 👏🏻 He made everyone laugh on the bus and made the journey feel so much quicker. Pompeii is a guided tour that brings the ruins to life, and you’re given ample time to hike self-guided to the summit of Vesuvius and take photos and grab an ice cream or soda while you’re at it. A fantastic day trip.

Great Experience 10/10

We had a great time on this experience although it was *blazing* hot in Rome this day. Our guide was super helpful as we had our toddler in a stroller and he helped us traverse any places that had stairs and took us on a path that was fairly walkable with the stroller. They also let us wait for our tour (as we got there pretty early) in the booking office with AC. We did all 3 places and the only thing that was tough was being in Rome in the July heat which is no fault of the tour company. Learned so much about the actual truth of the history of Rome.

What to expect

Arrive to the meeting point early. Checking in was easy and then a short walk to the bus. Marius was great, very knowledgeable and did an excellent job keeping the group together and where we needed to be on time. Teo our driver was great at navigating the bus through the tight roads. Limoncello tasting was a quick tour, but fun experience. Sorrento was beautiful and nice. Skip trying to eat lunch there unless you can grab something quick at a coffee bar, restaurants are slow as they are just opening. Pompeii was fun and enjoyable. The pizza offered at the end (optional, but recommended) is a simple margarita pizza with pastry and a drink; enough to keep you satisfied until getting back to Rome for a late dinner. Overall the trip was great, Marius kept the trip fun.

Great day!

It’s a long day, but well worth the price you pay. Even on one of the hottest days of the year, we still had a great time! The views from the bus are gorgeous. Wish we had a bit more time to see Positano, but your day really is jam-packed! Shoutout to our tour guide, Antonino - he was so informative and fun to interact with! Even gave us recommendations for the rest of our time in Rome.

It is a long day but very well worth it. Small vans (NOT giant tour busses). They fed us breakfast and lunch. We enven stopped for lemon ices along the coast. The tour of the ruins/excavation was outstanding. Pompeii is fantastic of course, and the lunch was everything you could want of Sorrento.

Our family had an amazing day exploring Tuscany! Our tour guide was incredibly knowledgeable and shared so much interesting history and local insight that made every stop even more meaningful. The process was organized

Overall, I had a great experience with this Colosseum tour, you do it on your own with clear instructions . Everything went smoothly, and the tickets were emailed to me the night before making entry easy and hassle-free. The only point of confusion was that the tour details mentioned a pickup location, even though the tickets were sent electronically the evening before. It would be helpful if the instructions were updated or clarified to avoid any uncertainty for future travelers. Aside from that, the experience was excellent. The process was organized, and visiting the Colosseum was unforgettable. I would recommend this tour and would book with this company again.

Only tour Vatican with a guide!

Do not attempt touring the Vatican without a guide! I watched our guide (Debra) work us through the crowded lines I was grateful we had her! She knew exactly where to position us and how to get us through the tour without feeling the pressure of the crowds. On top of that she was extremely knowledgable, had great stories, and made sure every one in our group saw the most important and fascinating parts of each area. I noticed she was well known by the Vatican staff and that they had a high respect for her as well. Thank you Debra for making our tour amazing!
