Itinerary
Meet your guide and group in the Borgo neighborhood, a short walk away from the St. Peter's Square, for an introductory briefing for this Vatican Museums guided group tour with skip-the-line access. Then, head to the square as a group, while your guide provides commentary about the Vatican and its history, including the Sistine Chapel.
Arrive at St. Peter's Square and head into the Vatican Museums, taking advantage of your special skip-the-line admission ticket to avoid having to wait in the long regular admission lines. Once inside, listen to your guide provide live commentary as you take in the sculptures, paintings, and tapestries that flank the main halls.
Continue to the Sistine Chapel to see some of Michelangelo’s most famous works, including the Creation of Adam and the Last Judgement. Wrap up your Vatican Museums tour up at St. Peter's Basilica (if option selected), where you'll be able to enter directly, circumventing the regular lines.

- Unforeseen events= The Vatican is its own country and therefore the Pope can decide also last minute to close St. Peter’s Basilica for ad hoc events. It is a very rare event during the year but it is possibile and we will do our best to inform you. If it is too late to inform you, our guide will extend the tour in the Vatican. Not to worry that the incredibile collection of Vatican Museums and the masterpiece of Michelagelo in the Sistine Chapel will still be included.

I paid to see all three and was told we would only see one. If I had known I would not have booked. Very disappointing to come all this way and not able to see the Vactican and Sistine Chapels

Amazing experience. Our guide Roberta, was extremely knowledgeable about the history of everything, while also giving us some great humor throughout. She was the best!!! Definitely worth booking this to move throughout each historic site with ease, especially in the Summer heat.

Good experience. Be sure to wear tennis shoes for all the walking. Be sure to have everyone bring their own water bottles so they can refill at the water fountains — the water is cold and refreshing.

You need this tour and you need Shaka as your guide. There is a craziness outside the walls of the Vatican with all of the tourists and peddlers. But our guide was experienced, educated and engaging. It was just as busy inside the museum but the earphones and microphone were crucial to getting the most out of our tour. Do yourself a favor and book this tour and ask for Shaka.

Absolutely the best way to experience the Vatican City! Our guide was very knowledgeable. The only negative was finding the meeting point. If arriving by train allow at least 20minutes to get to the meeting point on foot.

The tour gave a good overview of the Vatican museums and Sistine Chapel. The tour ended right when we got to St Peter's Basilica. We were on our own from there on and it did not last the 3 hours.

This tour was as expected. The tour guide was very informative and kept everyone engaged. We did just what was expected.
The only issue I had was initially getting through the lines. Lines were ridiculous and the group got separated from the guide for several seconds.

This was a great tour. Our tour guide was informative and easy to understand. She made sure we saw all the important things from the best vantage points. She thoroughly explained key interesting points of the Sistine Chapel and St. Peter’s Basilica.
The Skip the line tour was the way to go on a hot day in July. The line to purchase tickets and get in was well over an hour long wait in the heat. The group line moved quickly and we were in and touring within 10 minutes.

We had an unforgettable time during this tour. We met at 7:40 for our 8AM tour, waited in almost 0 lines, and saw the most beautiful art in the world. It was absolutely worth every penny. Bring a fan, as it’s hot out there, but don’t let that stop you from enjoying this informative and breathtaking tour.

The meeting place was easy to find and once there people were there to take our names and show us where to meet our guide Lara. The guide was very knowledgeable and shared much info! The tour was a touch long for us (taking into consideration the heat) but the areas we visited were nothing short of stunning. I would recommend this tour.

My partner and I have both visited the Vatican before many years ago and decided this time to book a guided tour to learn more about the Vatican and the history. We purchased the skip the line tour of the Vatican museums, Sistine Chapel and St Peter’s Basilica.
Firstly we were asked to arrive 20 mins before the start time, 8:25 for 8:45 start. The tour didn’t start until 09:10.
We were told that as we walked to the Vatican we would get told about the culture and embassy’s around the outside but this didn’t happen.
The guide did spend time in St Peter’s Square talking about the sculptures and history which was interesting and he did take time to get to know some members of the group, particularly the children, which was good.
There was still a queue to get into the Vatican, approximately 15 mins, therefore by the time we had got in and had the included toilet break, we didn’t enter the Vatican museum until 10:15.
This certainly was a walking tour. We were repeatedly told to “keep moving” and there were lots of side rooms that we walked past, not having the opportunity to go in and explore.
The guide did provide detailed information on the Sistine chapel before entry and was very respectful of the religious significance.
We left the museum and chapel at 11:20 and this is where the tour ended.
We were informed that St Peter’s Basilica was a self guided tour. He repeatedly told us throughout the tour that he does this 2/3 times a day, and this felt like the reason we were rushed.
There were other tour groups and guides in St Peter’s Basilica.
Overall this was very disappointing. We felt very rushed and missed many parts of the Vatican museums. Whilst we appreciate the museums are vast and understand with time we can’t see anything, the sheer pace we went through meant we saw very little.
From our experience we learnt more visiting the museums without this tour.
Sadly we would not recommend this.

Ok tour. Great guide. Crowds too much, but that's on me visiting at peak season. Skip the line is worth it, something the guides will repeatedly tell you. Their not wrong, we get it, we paid for it after all.
Quite time in the Sisten Chapel was the highlight.

We enjoyed this experience it was exactly as expected. Our tour guide Marco was personable and informative. We were able to get in quickly to the Vatican Museum and the Bascilica. I only wish we had booked an earlier time as it was so hot I feel I couldn't genuinely appreciate because I was so uncomfortable. I strongly recommend water and light flowy airy clothing being careful to cover shoulders and wear longer shorts or skirts. The tour itself was great though, we learned a lot and would book a longer tour in the future.

This tour / experience was 10/10. Our tour guide Lucia was very knowledgeable, efficient, and fun! My family had a blast. Navigating any of this without a tour guide would have been overwhelming. It was the perfect balance of knowledge, information, and efficiency in getting through the sites. THIS IS A MUST DO!
Our tour guide was an archaeologist and at the end took a photo with our daughter's stuffed animal. Our daughter was too young to join us but also wants to be an archaeologist! Grazi Lucia!
