Itinerary
Meet your guide and group in the Borgo neighborhood, a short walk away from the St. Peter's Square, for an introductory briefing for this Vatican Museums guided tour with skip-the-line access. Then, head to the square as a group, passing along the Via della Conciliazione along the way, while your guide provides commentary about the Vatican and its history, including the Sistine Chapel.
Arrive at St. Peter's Square and head into the Vatican Museums, taking advantage of your special skip-the-line admission ticket to avoid having to wait in the long regular admission lines. Once inside, listen to your guide provide live commentary as you take in the sculptures, paintings, and tapestries that flank the main halls.
Continue to the Sistine Chapel to see some of Michelangelo’s most famous works, including the Creation of Adam and the Last Judgement. Wrap up your Vatican Museums tour up at St. Peter's Basilica (if option selected), where you'll be able to enter directly, circumventing the regular lines.

- Unforeseen events= The Vatican is its own country and therefore the Pope can decide also last minute to close St. Peter’s Basilica for ad hoc events. It is a very rare event during the year but it is possibile and we will do our best to inform you. If it is too late to inform you, our guide will extend the tour in the Vatican. Not to worry that the incredibile collection of Vatican Museums and the masterpiece of Michelagelo in the Sistine Chapel will still be included.
- Most of our tours include the Vatican Museums, Sistine Chapel, and St. Peter’s Basilica. However, there are two specific options with different inclusions. You will find below:
- Museums & SISTINE CHAPEL Tour – Includes the Vatican Museums and Sistine Chapel but does NOT include St. Peter’s Basilica.

Hopefully, you have a tour guide who speaks clear English. Our lady was very nice, but with the large number of people walking around and the headset's clarity, we understood about every third word she said.

It was longer than expected but I have no idea how we would have done the Vatican area without a tour. The lines are crazy and it’s impossible to stop to read anything. The tour guide is key to understanding anything that you are seeing but also to skip the lines!

Some of the group got separated from the guide. Never saw her again. Walked the tour without her and we were denied entry into the basilica because the guide had the tickets. So we didn’t get the whole experience I would like a refund

Totally worth it for great experience - the line to Vatican City can be 2-4 hours long. With this, we got in in about 10 minutes. Learned a lot of interesting facts and knew where to look for great art. Mario was the best and didn’t lose any one of us.

The tour advertises been taken through St Peters Sq and told the history but it doesnt!! Also you get taken to the front of Basillica but the tour guide leavea you there to go inside yourself which was disappointing

We were about 20 minutes late due to getting turned around trying to navigate the city. The company called us to ensure we were coming and got us connected with our tour right away. Our tour guides were fabulous and informative. The "skip-the-line" was totally worth the upgrade as we moved quickly through each line and got the most out of our time in the Vatican. I highly recommend it.

A lot of walking (steps). If you are not 100% mobile (i.e. using a cane), make sure your tour guide is really aware so that going up and down stairs unnecessarily does not happen. Should have a gentle walking group option.

EXTREMELY CROWDED. We were packed in like sardines. We arrived by taxi at 8:20 am for a 9:00 am tour. We didn’t even get into the building until 10:40. Once inside you’re pushed along so fast you can’t stop to enjoy anything. Every second of it was awful. It’s a money pit.

Best thing about it was that we did skip the lines and that saved a whole bunch of time. However, once inside, it was super crowded and we had to move through the museum, attractions, and Sistine Chapel so quickly that we didn’t really have a chance to enjoy/read about paintings/statues. And we had to continually try to find our guide, even though that wasn’t her fault as things were moving so quickly.

Enjoyed our day at The Vatican. Maura was a very good guide. Tour was about 3 hours long. Rated 4 stars because there is so much to see and not enough time to see it. The skip the line was worth every penny.
