A brilliant experience made all the better for having a lady called Sandra as our guide. Fluent in languages, highly professional and very engaging. A credit to the company

Our guide was very helpful and informative! He gave the history of the Vatican and was extremely helpful in getting us to front row seats and also told us how to prevent people from coming and standing in front of you. He answered many of my questions!!

You have to get there very early in the morning. It is worth it to get good seats. The guide gets you to your seats and gives you a history lesson. It was informative. Be prepared to be sitting for a while before the pope comes.

Great way to stress less about collecting papal audience tickets and getting great seats. Max was a wonderful and knowledgeable guide.

This trip was amazing, Sandra our guide tour was very professional, knowledgeable and helpful, she explained so many details about everything in order to get the best time in Vatican. We were close to Pope Leo because Sandra’s support to us!!!

Well worth the time and money! Our guide, Max, was attentive and knowledgeable. Be sure to get to the meeting point early, and there are coffee & breakfast items available for purchase. Max ensured we had front row seats and it is an experience I will never forget!!

It was helpful to have a guide show us where to queue, and I appreciate that by its very nature, the event is low cost, low key. However, it would have been useful to have more information about was involved. (timings etc - we had to leave early as we had to check out). The company also tried to upsell me an experience with a closer meeting point. It is a very interesting event and I am pleased that I went.

OMG what often fantastic and unexpected experience at the Papal audience!! Our guide Francesco was absolutely phenomenal!!! He not only told us so much about the Vatican and where we were going- he also pointed out what seats would be best for us to see the pope drive-by in the popemobile and told us that if we had our 11 month old grandson at the barrier where the pope mobile went by that he would be blessed by the pope - and he was!!!! What an unbelievable experience that was!

A very early start but worth it for the Knowledge and best seats. Max our guide was brill and knew when to hold and when to go. Leave plenty of time as the Pope doesn't come out till about 10am. The 3 hour time isn't the full alloted time needed.

We arrived early, and everything was easy checking in and finding our guide was smooth. The guide (a Spanish lady) had great knowledge and gave a lot of interesting history about the Vatican. However, she did rush us at times and walked very fast, and we occasionally lost track of her. That said, I later realized she was trying to secure us good seats, so I understood and didn’t mind as much.
The one issue I did have was her trying to sell a rosary during the tour it felt like a really inappropriate time to be selling items.
Overall, I’d give the experience 3 stars.

This was a truly amazing experience that was beyond my expectations!! Easy meeting point before going into the Vatican City to see and listen to the Pope. Excellent seats and our guide ensured everyone was looked after and helped with any concerns!! One of my best days ever!!!

It’s a weekly meeting the pope holds with “pilgrims.” We booked it through Viator, where I saw it listed. There were passages in Italian, French, English, Spanish, German, Chinese, Arabic, Portuguese, and Polish. The pope spoke in Italian, English, and Spanish. The interpreters that presented in the other languages translated his responses. Groups that made pilgrimages there were acknowledged. There was one school from the US and a delegation from the UK. There was a violin troupe of youngsters from Brazil, and several other Portuguese speaking groups. It was like being at a soccer match with multiple teams, with flags of countries being waved and anthems sung, and groups enthusiastically responding when their presence was acknowledged by the pope.

We had already secured our own Papal Audience tickets by emailing the Rome office directly, which was very easy. We decided to do the tour anyway, thinking the guide would know where to position the group to get a better glimpse of the Pope.
Unfortunately, that didn’t happen.
There were about 29 people in the group, and despite the early call time, a long line had already formed. Once inside, we were seated in the middle section, where the Pope looks very small and usually only passes along the front and side aisles. If you’re hoping for a closer view, clearer photos or videos, or any chance of interaction, this setup doesn’t help.
At one point, I stepped away to use the restroom and noticed side seating that offered much better visibility. Since it was just the two of us, we moved there, returned our headsets to the female guide, and were told we were on our own.
Looking back, leaving the group was the best decision we made. From the sidelines, I was able to take a clear video of the Pope, and my husband was able to personally hand him the baseball cap he had been hoping to give him.
Given how simple it is to secure Papal Audience tickets on your own, this tour felt unnecessary and not worth the extra cost.
Recommendation: skip the tour and do it independently for a better, more flexible experience.

So organized. Our guide Luciana learned everyone’s name and took care of us. You need to get this service.
Shirley_H, Jan 2026
It was a great experience, some little nuances would have been nice to know pertaining to seating in the Auditorium, but it worked out okay. It was wonderful to be in the presence of the Pope. The history lesson on the walk over was excellent, and the guide excellent

I was blown away with how much knowledge our host had. Definitely experienced more than we expected, she was friendly, went at the pace of the group and it was clear to see she cared about our experience.
Gladys_F, Jan 2026
Know you can get tickets on your own, but being escorted in an organized way got us front row viewing to this absolutely special event. Daniela was also informative and engaging which helped counter the early morning rise and wait time.
Scott_P, Jan 2026
Wonderful experience. I would strongly recommend arriving to check in location as soon as you can as groups’ depart when they reach maximum number. Our tour guide person was Max and he was very very good.
Gail_R, Dec 2025
Our guide, Veronica, knew exactly how to get thru the crowds quickly. When the Pope came thru the crowd, she told us exactly where to move to get good pictures. I enjoyed her as a guide!

If you want to see the Pope, than I promise you that this is a MUST. You may think to yourself, why would I book and pay for something that I can do for free? The answer is easy, you don't know what you're doing. We were blessed to be guided by Rosanna. Absolutely blessed. From the moment we met Rosanna, she was funny, intelligent, and began giving us a history lesson from the meeting point all the way to St. Peter's. She is filled with knowledge, and her love for Rome shines bright and is evident with every word. Once we arrived in St Peter's, it was chaotic, but Rosanna kept us together, and got us to where we needed to go. Once we made it into St. Peter's, some people for whatever reason decided to do their own thing and left the tour. This was a HUGE mistake. Rosanna advised everyone in the group of where to sit, where to stand, and told us how we could see the Pope up close. For those of us who stayed with her, we gained an even deeper understanding of the Church, the Pope, and other wonderful things about Rome. Just like Rosanna told us, the Pope drove right by us, stopped right in front of us, and blessed us. It was truly amazing. One of the biggest dissapointments that we experienced was knowing that we didn't have Rosanna booked for the rest of our trip. I promise you that if we had, I would have booked her everyday for everytrip we wanted to take. The Papal audience is truly worth it. Thank you again Rosanna, you're amazing!

Mex was an excellent guide and we were very close and saw Pope Leo up close. He was very knowledgeable about the Vatican and Rome. We really enjoyed our experience. We definitely recommend Viator and Max as a guide.
Nancy_G, Dec 2025
From the meeting point all the way through until our guide collected our speakers, she was reassuring with what to expect.
She was very informative & interactive. She made us feel confident. We loved her enthusiasm & expertise!
Gina_M, Dec 2025
One of the highlights of our trip to Rome! If interested in attending the Papal audience, would highly recommend booking this tour, as opposed to going on your own, as the guide was informative and got us great seats.
Janet_T, Dec 2025
You need to be at the meeting point at 6:45 AM. It is early but the benefit is shorter wait for security snd getting a seat up very close to where Pope Leo will pass by.
Jennine_M, Dec 2025
I would recommend this tour experience for the Papal Audience. Despite having to meet early in the AM, like 6:30am, You are able to purchase a coffee and pastry at the meeting spot. it was organized, informative, and flowed seamlessly from beginning to end. Our seats were in a very good location for viewing the Pope passing by and greeting the audience. We also had a nice view of the Altar location where the Pope speaks.
Our guide did not stay the whole time but guided us through the security line quickly and to our seats while providing informative Vatican facts. We were seated by 8:30 and waited till 10 am for the Pope’s mobile greeting. The actual Audience takes about 1 1/2 hours with the Pope presenting a message and then given in different languages. The Audience was outside despite it being December. Just dress warm!
JARED_P, Dec 2025
Great experience during the Papal Audience with Pope Leo. We got right up front and were literally feet from the Vicar of Christ!!! Once in a lifetime experience. Thank you.
Martha_B, Dec 2025
Excellent guide. Detailed knowledge of history of Vatican. Very friendly. I would recommend this tour to others.
Robert_H, Dec 2025
Great experience, highly recommend. Laura was awesome. She brought us right into the best seats in the square. She was extremely knowledgeable and helpful whenever needed. Seeing the Pope and hearing his words was a once in a lifetime opportunity.
Yadira_M, Dec 2025
Great to experience to see Pope Leo up and close. He gave a short speech for peace and blessed those in attendance and their families.
Linda_T, Dec 2025
Our guide got us so close and we used a different entrance than all the people that picked up their free ticket at the brass doors. My sister and her family waited so much longer to enter and we got there at the same time. Because of our excellent location, my granddaughter was blessed by Pope Leo. A once in a lifetime experience. Veronica was fantastic!
