Amazing!

This was a wonderful tour of a fabulous house full of amazing paintings and sculpture. It takes about an hour to walk from Piazza del Popolo (closest Metro stop) to Galleria Borghese. You can take a bus. Wish I had realized it was so far. I almost missed my tour. They were completely sold out.

The Borghese has breathtaking masterpieces by Bernini that are worth the price of the ticket. Our tour guide was excellent - she took the time to explain each piece in detail and she also knew how to navigate the museum so that we arrived at works when there were fewer people around and we weren’t crowded. Frederico was an exceptional guide!

This tour never felt rushed. The detail provided was very thorough and insightful. I learned a great deal that I will carry with me. Our guide, Frederico, had a beautiful turn of phrase and was passionate about the works he showed us. Furthermore, after the tour you can remain inside and (if you wanted to) browse some more. I didn’t because I felt Frederico had done such a great job.
