We are two “mature” American couples who booked a small group, English-speaking tour of the Colosseum, Roman Forum, & Palantine Hill . We were so fortunate to have Mary, a Roman local and an art history major, as our tour guide. She was articulate, interesting, and interested in the comfort of her guests. We highly recommend this tour if you would like to learn a bit more about the ingenuity of the Romans. It is well worth your time and effort to attend.

Great Experience!

We had a great experience with Valentina as our guide. We are small group which was great! She was very knowledgeable about the Roman Empire and the Vatican. The history was unbelievable. She showed us pictures of before and explained why it looks this way today. There is a lot of walking.

Great Tour!

Really glad we did this tour since it covered four main areas of interest: Piazza Navona and the Fountain of Four Rivers, the Pantheon, Trevi Fountain, and the Spanish Steps. The tour guide is excellent. Christina is thoroughly familiar with the areas covered and makes the time interesting and even humorous. I was very impressed with the fact that the tour meeting point was very close to some very nice public restrooms. That was super-convenient for everyone before the tour started. The Pantheon portion was not skip-the-line but don’t let that stop you, as it moved very quickly. Also we were expecting chaos at the Trevi Fountain, but in spite of the huge crowds, within twenty minutes we were able to have a bathroom break, get gelato samples, and get right down to the water’s edge for some great pictures. Five stars for sure!

This was an enjoyable...

This was an enjoyable tour where we made 7 stops in Trastravere and tasted fried artichokes, wine, braised pork, Italian cookies, pasta and gelato. Our guide, Georgia, was excellent-she was very friendly, her English was perfect, and she was knowledgeable about the history and food.

Very thorough and engaging guide who demonstrated a vast knowledge of the history of the site. The pacing was appropriate and the guide’s English was good. She did a great job of keeping track of us, and the terrain we covered was manageable (although challenging for older folks using a cane).

From start to finish, the day was incredibly well organized, which made seeing so many iconic sites in one day feel seamless rather than rushed. Our guide, Maria, was exceptional—knowledgeable, engaging, and clearly passionate about Rome’s history. She brought each location to life with stories and context you simply wouldn’t get exploring on your own. Skipping the long lines at both the Colosseum and the Vatican Museums was a huge advantage and saved us hours. Walking through the Colosseum and Roman Forum while hearing the history unfold in real time was unforgettable. The Vatican Museums and Sistine Chapel were just as impressive, and having Maria explain the significance behind what we were seeing made the experience so much more meaningful. The walking portions were well paced, with just enough breaks to recharge while still covering an incredible amount of ground. Despite it being a full day, it never felt overwhelming thanks to the thoughtful planning. If you’re visiting Rome and want to maximize your time while truly understanding what you’re seeing, this tour is a fantastic choice. It’s the perfect combination of efficiency, education, and unforgettable sights. Highly recommend!

Tour with Gurban

Our guide Gurban is so knowledgeable about the history, architecture and archaeology of the area. He gave so much history. As an archaeology student he is amazing telling all the stories about each place we visited in Rome. I'd highly recommend this tour. Gurban also spoke excellent English making the trip that much more enjoyable!

Catalina was a great guide, she had lots of great knowledge about the artworks themselves and lots of context for the surrounding area, history, etc. She did a good job keeping everybody engaged and gave us plenty of opportunity to ask questions and take photos or take a brief pause.

Sharon not only showed us the classic sights such as Piazza Nova, the Spanish Staird, the Trevi Fountain etc. but also shared lots of interesting insights with is.
