Good way to start your trip a great introduction to how it all began. It was a little fast in places that’s my only criticism

Great way to introduce Rome! Very visual experience enjoyed by our 11 year old. We all found the audio interesting with enough detail to absorb easily.

An absolute stellar MUST start of any Roman adventure! Whether you’re here for the first time or back, this beautifully crafted visual experience of Rome sets your imagination on fire and allows to experience roaming the historical sites with way more insight than ever.

This walk through history is a great way to establish perspective between different periods. It begins with a brief geological explanation of Rome's early landscape and walks visitors through each architectural era. I loved all the models and graphics in this presentation.
Nail_C, Nov 2025
3-D was very cool. It was great to learn about how several buildings and structures came to be. Would have loved to learn more about ancient Rome.
Theresa_W, Nov 2025
Fantastic overview and visuals to better understand the history of Italy and Rome. I appreciated the recreation of monuments too.

This was an amazing educational experience and my kids loved it. It was so interactive And a great way to start a vacation in Rome.
Beatrice_R, May 2025
This was a nice intro to Rome. It shows a 3D image of what it may have looked like. Ending with a film.
Cedar_P, Apr 2025
Fun and informative. In a short span of time, we got a big picture history of Rome starting with volcanoes. I recommend it for the context it gave everything else we did.
Kenya_W, Feb 2025
Great for history learning and getting visuals on what Rome has been like over the years. Harder for young children under 8 to stay engaged.

Best place to attend before seeing rome. Very informative and gives you an appreciation of the rich history

Great way to learn some of the history of Rome. I found it made imagining the city layout much easier when visiting Palentine Hill, the Forum or the Colosseum. I would recommend it early in the trip.

The place is empty and cold. They charge a lot for what you actually get to see, but I liked the effects anyway. It was alright. Probably wouldn't visit again.
Barbara_G, Oct 2024
The exhibit was not very engaging nor did it provide very much information about Rome. This exhibit did not inspire us about Rome.
Maria_N, Aug 2024
While this was a cool concept the execution was mediocre. It involves 4 small rooms where you stand and watch a demonstration of a diorama with an audio guide in your own preferred language + a ~30 minute video in an auditorium, the only place you can sit. The auditorium had several broken seats and trash littered all over the place. The bathrooms were also dirty and poorly maintained.

Great idea. Maybe you should give more info on premises how everything works. The rest it's perfect. Thanks

I loved this for our 1st day in Rome. I booked it because I thought we would be to jet lagged to do much. This exceeded my expectations. It shows how everything looks currently then morfs into to how ancient Rome looked. Great high level history lesson also.

My teens did not enjoy the excessive details. It was not engaging at all. Two of them felt they are falling a sleep
Dganit_T, Jul 2024
Nice and short enough for the entire family. I liked mostly the movie part. It explained about Roma’s past.

This activity was well worth it for us and we would definitely recommend that first-time Rome visitors start their trip here. In just an hour, we learned so much about the history of the places we would soon visit and artwork we would see. The 3D visual juxtaposition of what Roman ruins would have originally looked like vs. what they look like today was great for both the kids and adults in our group and we referenced what we saw at the Welcome to Rome Experience in later days when we visited the Colosseum, Roman Forum, Palatine Hill, and Circus Maximus. We also got a quick overview of Classical vs. Medieval vs. Renaissance vs. Baroque time periods and saw this come to life as we visited the various churches, museums, and palaces in Italy. The experience is well done and combines an engaging film and a walk through various 3D models with audiovisual explanations of the exhibits. The one star deduction is because occasionally the AV radios did not function properly for some of us but there was always a staff member available to replace the radio with a fully functioning one. The kids also suggest adding benches/chairs to the 3D exhibits for those that would like to rest their feet after long days of walking.

A quick history lesson to kick off traveling in Roma.
Take advantage of this when you get to the city.

Such a fun way to learn about the history of Rome. I would recommend it to anyone specially at the beginning of your trip so that you can understand all of your tours or solo visits even more !
Mark_L, Jun 2024
Great first stop if you’re not too familiar with the history of Rome. Definitely enough eye candy to keep the kids interested.
James_H, Jun 2024
This ended up being a little more in-depth history than we were looking for. The 3-D visual displays were interesting but we found it a little tiresome moving between the four stations before getting to sit down in the main theatre.
John_G, Jun 2024
Good overview of Rome history and with some great detail and three D projection of what ruins would have looked like when originally built. Can show up early and you can start the program.
dianetesta, Jun 2024
It was easy to do and a great way to get a perspective of Rome so you understand what you’re seeing.
Alicia_R, Jun 2024
What a wonderful introduction to Rome! My son loved it big time!! It is a well made experience. It has capacity to expand with more aspects of not only Rome, but important cities of Italy. Perfect to do at the beginning of the journey.
Emma_T, May 2024
What a great introduction into the history of Rome! This really did help us understand the history of the Roman Forums and how Rome was founded and developed through the years. It was great how there were able to recreate this through models and film.
Lenard_S, Apr 2024
The movie was very good…it provided a thorough history of the city of Rome. They showed images of many buildings before they became ruins
