This is a great way to see many of the top sights up close at night and learn about the history! Less crowds and cooler during hot summer too! You see a whole other side to this beautiful city and discover the energy of the evening in Rome! Highly recommend and would do during the first couple days of your stay in Rome to acclimate to the area. Dan was our guide and did a wonderful job taking us around and telling us new things we hadn’t heard on other tours.

Wasn't enjoyable sat at back facing traffic driver didn't involve me and my husband didn't know wot was looking at cos going that fast for the amount of money paid was not worth it
The nighttime experience was unique with the lighting on the buildings and also less traffic made it more enjoyable. Are guide Matteo “Matt” was extremely knowledgeable and took us to some unique locations that helped explain the evolving history of Rome.
Our golf cart tour was a great way to see Rome. Our guide was friendly, knowledgeable, and made the tour fun. We learned a lot and enjoyed seeing the city’s beautiful sights. Highly recommended!
It was a wonderful way to see Rome with less crowds & picture taking opportunities under the lights. Our driver was skilled at navigating the city. Unfortunately the speaker set up in our cart functioned intermittently at a low volume so we decided to enjoy the ride & sights without struggling to hear the guides pearls on Rome.
Nico was an excellent guide. He took time to rearrange seating/carts so we could all be together in one. He made this your very enjoyable and fun

We arrived 20 minutes early at the appointed meeting place. We approached every golf cart that pulled up and checked with the driver to see if we were on their tour list. None of the drivers had us on their tour list. By 8:30pm, we started calling the number provided. We finally messaged and someone called us. They were claiming that we were a “no show”. That was never the case. It was storming with torrential rain, thunder, and lightning. We sought shelter. The company refused to refund us for the tour. They ended up sending a golf cart to get us at 9:00 pm but by this time we were soaked to the skin and freezing cold. We were put on the rear facing seats that were wet and the driver had no towels to wipe the seats. Our tour we paid for was supposed to be 3 hours but it ended up being only 2 hours of us being uncomfortable and cold. This tour had the potential to be great but it left us cold and wet. The man we talked to from the company wanted to call us a “no show”, not refund us, and not come get us for the tour. The only reason we continued with a shortened tour wet and cold was because otherwise we would have lost our money. We have not been contacted further by the tour company but we believe that we are due some type of refund.
Amazing time. Just a perfect overview of the city and amazing to do at night. Guide was very informative.

We had some big disappointments with a couple of tours that day and I was really down about it. This tour really brightened my day. Rome is so beautiful at night, it's a must see! Everything was perfect! Pick up was easy, on time, and as advertised. We went to all the best places with lots of history from our guide. Lots of hidden secrets!
The golf cart was comfortable and even though we rode through heavy traffic we felt safe. There weee stops for pictures and walking around.
This was fun, saw a lot in a short time! It ended up being earlier than I wanted but had no choice we were leaving the next day. The guide was decently informative but we felt rushed at a few of the stops but lots time at the others. If you want to get a good lay of the city this is it.

It’s wonderful but lengthy. 3 hours lots of stops but beautiful Rome lit up at night and took some great pictures. Our guide was well versed on the sites. Got to see some less well known places.

Really amazing tour of the city of Rome by night. Our guide Pietro was a very good driver and very lively! To be clear, this is not a guided tour of Rome with information about the sites, just a trip around the city. Additionally it is not private.
This tour was very highly rated on the viator site. It was very appealing to have a nighttime tour through the city. Although the price tag was $300+ we went in with high hopes.
It started off well, the tour guide was on time and seemed friendly enough. As soon as we hopped in, a golf cart mind you, our driver started flying down the streets and highway as if we were in a regular car (we were strapped in backwards, where you would keep the golf clubs.
We had several major sites to see and outside of a few jokes and bits of basic information we were left on our own. Three hours of tour, no substantial information on anything, basically just a guy driving us to each while we pray for our lives and dropping us off in the parking lots saying “ok be back in 10 minutes”. Towards the end we were a little late coming back because we had to use the bathroom and he was absolutely leaving us there. We had to flag him down to pick us up before he hit the street. After the we just left in the middle of the tour, he said “ok sure”— making it seem like people seem to leave before it’s over. We paid close to $350 for this. Viator felt bad enough to give us a few bucks back. Once we reach back home we will post this on yelp, Google etc so other people don’t fall into this trap.

It was fantastic! Our drive was a treasure of knowledge and wellness to answer question and stop for pictures.
Matt was a great tour guide. He was knowledgeable about Rome and took his time showing us the sites. He was very personable and friendly and we never felt rushed during our stops. I would definitely recommend Matt to anyone looking for a fun and informative night.

Our group of seven thoroughly enjoyed the tour in September 2026. It was magical to see Rome’s iconic monuments beautifully illuminated at night, without the huge crowds of tourists.
Giulia was a fantastic guide—friendly, knowledgeable, and incredibly patient while we stopped to take numerous photos. She also took us to some wonderful, lesser-known spots where we enjoyed mesmerizing views of the Colosseum and the Vatican.
It was a memorable experience and a highlight of our trip to Rome. Highly recommend this activity!
We waited for over an hour, no one came to pick is up, the company claimed to have not received our booking yet I had tickets and they charged my account. I did receive a refund but lost an entire night in Rome. Book with any other company than Rome by night golf cart.
