This tour was amazing! Pompei is a must see! Our tour guide and driver for the day were wonderful and so fun! The Amalfi Coast did not disappoint! Gelato and an amazing lunch in Positano on the beach just topped it off! Highly recommend to add this to a day when visiting Rome and the area!

This excursion was a long day but entirely worth it. Everything was perfect. The tour leader and driver were fabulous. Without doubt the best tour we have ever taken and we have been on many. Itinerary

Your morning starts with pickup from your hotel in central Rome by air-conditioned minivan. Settle in for a several-hour drive to Pompeii Archaeological Park.

On arrival in Pompeii, skip the ticket lines and the crowds trying to get into the popular attraction, and take a guided tour covering much of the UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Then, head toward the Amalfi Coast. Enjoy views of the Bay of Naples along the drive to Positano, where you can stop for lunch, relaxation and shopping (own expense). After several hours in Positano, continue down the coast to Amalfi, or visit the waterfront villages of Maiori or Vietri sul Mare.

Your full day ends with a return drive and drop-off in Rome. Note that if you visit in the summer, due to road closures, your itinerary may be reversed or reworked.

Malak, our guide, and Artur, our driver, were fantastic! Unbelievably attentive and wanted us to have the best time! Can’t recommend them or the tour highly enough! It was well worth the price. Pompeii and the Amalfi coast were amazing!

Pompeii is amazing and the guide we had was exceptional. 2 hours to see this famous site is way to short. The rest of the day is spent driving along the beautiful coast with a stop for lunch. The challenge is the 14 hour day because of distance and traffic

Our trip was amazing! 12 out of 10 recommend! Giulia was fantastic and our driver did an INCREDIBLE job driving through the streets of Positano. Hector was a great guide at Pompeii. And in Positano you must get the frozen lemonade!

What a wonderful experience! We weren’t sure what to expect given the duration of the tour. Our tour assistant Iman and driver Luigi were exceptional! Communicative and thoughtful. They were so good with our kid, and kept him engaged through a long trip. Our first stop was Pompeii, which is honestly a must-do activity in Italy. Our guide in Pompeii (Romolo) was incredible. He really brought the place alive with detailed descriptions of the city ruins, walked us through a typical day in Pompeii life and explained to us what the day of the eruption must have been like. After this, we headed to Positano, where Iman arranged a reservation and guided us along bustling alleys to a seaside restaurant - where we had the best meal we experienced in Italy. We then stopped in Amalfi on the way back to Rome where we tasted some local gelato and sorbets. Make no mistake, it’s a full day commitment (ours took 14 hours due to traffic etc), but it is totally worth it and leaves you with lasting memories. Great job to the Welcome Italy team!

Breathtaking views

It was a full day but so worth it! We saw Pompeii first with a tour guide, then drove down to Positano where we had a delicious sea food lunch that the guide had made reservations for, had about an hour after to sightsee on our own and shop. We then headed to the Amalfi coast where we were able to take a quick break for some great photos. Guide was very informative and we felt safe with the driver as he navigated us through the winding roads. It’s a long day but it was worth it.

A full day! We started at 645 am and ended at 830 pm. Hotel pickup in a comfortable van. The tour guide in Pompeii was very knowledgeable and personable. Our guide, Juliana was very sweet and helpful. She made our reservation for lunch at The Pergola and it was delicious. The views from Positano and Amalfi were breathtaking. This has been on my bucket list for a while and it did not disappoint! Highly recommend.

Great experience from beginning to end! We had Giuseppe and Giuseppe, tour guide and driver. Prompt hotel pickup which is nice and convenient. We covered alot of ground and everyone was very attentive and friendly! We are still in awe of the amazing driving! Highly recommend to pay more and do this tour for time and convenience. It was outstanding! This tour was door to door from the hotel and it was a full 12 hour day. Great way to see the beautiful Amalfi coast and spend time there to eat and enjoy the views. This is the highlight of my trip! What a great day! Gulia, Artura(sp?) and Romolo were amazing and excellent.!! We started off our day at 6:30 AM. On time and very comfortable van. The first stop was Pompeii. Romolo was very knowledgeable and showed us many things. We got to Pompeii when it first opened so it wasn’t crowded. I learned so much today. What a great time! Then we were off to Amalfi. To say that everything was perfect would be an understatement. Amalfi has been on my bucket list forever and it did not disappoint! We visited a few towns and had lunch in Amalfi. We loved it! We were given about three hours to have lunch and explore. We arrive back at the hotel approximately 630. Definitely a full day. We are going back to purchase an additional suitcase for all the things we purchased. Hands-down, one of the best tours I have ever taken.
