Paola M. was a great tour guide. Very knowledgeable. The Borghese Gallery is a must see destination in Rome. Be sure to take time to walk around the park after.

Federica was one of the most informative and pleasant guides. Learned so much but not overwhelmed . One of our best memories of our time in Rome. Art is not to be missed.

Salvatore was an excellent guide through the museum and gardens. Very knowledgeable artistically and historically with just the right amount of humor to keep it interesting!! This was our second visit to the museum and having a guide like Sal really made a difference.

Our tour guide was extremely knowledgeable. The gardens were lovely. We thoroughly enjoyed the tour. Highly recommend!

Alessandra was so knowledgeable and informative. She made the tour personal and fun. She answered lots of questions and had such a great demeanor 🩷

The Borghese Gallery is a MUST see in Rome. I would definetly recommend a tour with a knowledgeable guide like we had. Salvador was amazing! As an art historian, he was able to give us intricate details about the pieces we were seeing by masters of their craft (Caravaggio, Bernini, etc.). He even pointed out the “unnecessary” additions Bernini added to his sculptures, such as a mole on Pluto’s back, to really cement the fact that he was a brilliant artist. You only have 2 hours in the gallery, but Salvador never hesitated to answer my many questions (while keeping our group moving along). You must see this gallery and you must see it with a guide hopefully as amazing as ours.

Last September we went on this tour and had the most amazing art historian guide us through the museum. Of all my trip memories, I find myself looking through photos of the beautiful marble carvings in this museum. I can still hear the tour guide explaining the importance of each piece. I wish I could remember her name! If you love art history, I highly recommend this tour!

What an incredible morning. Our guide was excellent, understanding the need to make the tour a story and to make the gallery come to life. She did not try to cover every piece, but made sure we understood the context and importance of the most important ones. It’s a beautiful gallery, but our guide created the opportunity for me to remember it forever.

Barbara was very knowledgeable about everything in the museum to e statues and art are really a site

Alexandra was a wonderful guide. Tickets and entry were seamless. This gallery limits the amount of tours each day, so much less crowded than most museums in Rome. We took our time going through the small but very impressive collection. Alexandra then took us for a walk through the gardens and was happy to give advice on other nearby activities. Great tour to experience.

Our guide, Salvatore, was great - he had a masters in art history and was so knowledgeable about the art, really making us appreciate it more. Our group was less than 15 people so very manageable. I recommend going for the first 9 am slot; the museum is small, and even though they limit visits to 2 hours for each entry time, it fills up and could be tricky to move through with a group later in the day.

Salvatore was a fabulous guide. Brings the museum and gardens to life. A must do if you have time in Rome and care at all about art or history.
JohnAllan_M, Feb 2026
Museum is unforgetable but given bad advice re accessability —booking told me there were no elevators or wheelchairs available which was obviously wrong since i used elevato and saw wheelchairs a lined up in two galleries
Response from Host, Feb 2026
Dear JohnAllan_M,
Thank you for booking with us, we are happy to hear you enjoyed the Museum.
It is wheelchair accessible but not if you book a Group tour with many people for logistic reasons.
I hope you enjoyed your stay in Rome.

One of the Best museums in Rome, and even all of Europe.
Small and easy to do in two hours.
Do with a guide!
Jason_H, Feb 2026
Our guide was outstanding. Very knowledgeable. He went into great detail about several of the pieces. Very good.

Frederika was our tour guide and I do not know how to express how wonderful her tour was. Before we went upstairs, I started tearing up because I knew there was so much passion from the beginning of her introduction. This tour was about to change my life slightly.
Frederika was so easy to understand, graceful with her tone and accommodating with everyone in the group; continuously asking if we had questions and if we were complete with the salon/room we were in.
She showed us the details that someone would miss. She taught us the background on pieces that were controversial during that era. And most of all, she was so kind with our small group when we had questions.
I wish there was a way to see what other tours around Rome she does. I could listen to her speak about art and history all day.
Gracie mille!

We had a great time! Federica was very knowledgeable and gave us very detailed explanations of the paintings and sculptures. She did a great job bringing the art to life; we learned a lot!

Loved this tour! How else could you learn about these gorgeous masterpieces. I am so sorry that I’ve forgotten the name of our tour guide. She was excellent— very professional, knowledgeable, and easy to understand. I’d request her again for a tour of the Borghese or any other museum, if I could. If you don’t get a guide for this museum, you will miss so much. Highly recommend this tour.

Great guide who spent longer than she ought to have in this two hour tour of the Villa Borghese. She was passionate about the art in the Villa and shared so much information about the history behind the art and architecture. Her background in political science and art history was really on display and I think she deserves high praise.
David_W, Jan 2026
A generous, informed, energetic introduction to the wonderful collection at the Borghese by a knowledgeable and engaging guide. We focused (understandably) on the magnificent sculptures by Bernini, and she really took the time to help the small group understand how they work. This meant that we didn’t have time to look at more than a handful of the many paintings, but I didn’t mind this at all—the Berninis really are the standouts. It’s a wonderful gallery, and having an advance reservation with a terrific guide was definitely worth the cost. (Unlike the title suggests, there was no tour of the gardens. I might have minded this if it hadn’t been winter.)

My daughter and I had both been to the Borghese in the past several times, but were so glad to have done a guided tour this time. Our guide Lorenzo was both knowledgeable and personable and gave new context to the masterpieces we were seeing in the stunning but crowded collection. Lorenzo was terrific!

Frederica was best guide we've had!
Wonderful!
She was extremely knowledgeable and made our experience perfect!
Elizabeth_N, Jan 2026
The gallery is exquisite and Lorenzo was a thoughtful and engaging guide! We enjoyed the sociological and political context of the commentary.
ROD_Y, Jan 2026
Just the right amount of information for a tour. Too much, and you go into information overload and start forgetting some of what was mentioned. Even though some of us had been there several times before, our group enjoyed the tour very much. You are always learning.
Jestherlynn_E, Jan 2026
Our guide was amazing. My family and I were completely mesmerized by his engaging storytelling. He made the art interesting and brought me back to my art history classes in college. He was an amazing guide and would highly recommend a tour with him.
Bryan_D, Dec 2025
We had a fantastic experience on the Borghese tour. Our guide really detailed the wonderful artwork and provided the wonderful history behind it.
William_A, Dec 2025
The villa itself is spectacular, and the art is over the top. Our guide was energetic, knowledgeable and humorous. Highly recommend this tour.
Peter_C, Dec 2025
Easy to understand in English. Pace was just nice even though it was limited to 2 hours. Wasn’t able cover all the pieces but we got a good understanding of the important ones.
Victoria_D, Dec 2025
Sal was an amazing guide. His passion for the artwork was inspiring and made for a perfect afternoon. Informative and beautiful.
Jean_S, Dec 2025
Francesco is an amazing guide, he’s so incredibly knowledgeable. We learned so much about the history of this family and how important it was to Roman history. The sculptures were stunning, and Francisco explained so much about the work and the sculptors.
