What are people saying about Rome

We had a great time;...
We had a great time; would definitely recommend it if you want some guidance to understand the history and relevant info. Our guide Frederico was fantastic (he's a long-time tour guide/teacher and it shows). Even though we did it at the hottest point of the day, he kept things moving smoothly (and in the shade as much as possible).

Colosseum, Palatine Hill and Roman Forum
Marchelo was our guide. He made our experience truly enjoyable. Despite the heat, he was considerate to keep us in the shades as much as possible, which was appreciated. Many thanks Marchelo and Viator for this unforgettable journey through history of the Eternal City.

Perfect Tour of Ancient Rome!
Giulia was a very good guide! We went to Palatine Hill, then the Roman Forum, and then the Colosseum. The small group allowed everyone to ask questions of our guide and she shared many insights into how things used to look and why they were in various conditions. I highly recommend taking an early morning tour to reduce the heat and crowds. Our guide made sure everyone had a bottle of water and kept us in the shade as much as possible.

Vatican and St Peters basilica tour
The whole Vatican and Basilica are very busy. There are so many ppl and tour groups in the same area you really need to keep an eye on your guides flag. Our guide Simona was very knowledgeable and lovely, knowing the crowds she kept us together, kept us moving through the skip the line sections, which is a must. Like all museums you do need more time to browse as it was a very quick highlights tour. Our stop in the Sistine chapel was incredible. Just so stunningly beautiful. Then St Peters basilica took your breath away. The largest Catholic church in the world, the history, artifacts and just grandeur of the place is amazing. After leaving our guide we were able to continue looking around, going down to the Pope's crypt, listen to a midday mass and enjoy the serenity. Great way to see this special area.

When it comes to history, Rome is in a league of its own. That’s why even the most well-read history buff can find the Eternal City overwhelming, especially on their first visit. Fortunately, Rome historical tours help you cover serious ground, thanks to seasoned guides who know how to head underground at the Colosseum, where to take the best photos of St. Peter’s Basilica, and when to visit Palatine Hill to avoid the crowds. Rome wasn’t built in a day, but on a tour that includes transportation, audio guides, and skip-the-line tickets, you can easily cover its most iconic landmarks in one day.
