Continue to Palatine Hill, climbing as you hear about the origins of ancient Rome, including Livia and the House of Augustus. See the valley between Palatine Hill and Aventine Hill, where Circus Maximus once stood.
After several hours, your tour ends back at the meeting point.

- The colosseum currently guarantees special access to the arena floor which is off limits to the general public. The arena area is where the gladiator fights took place and also gives you the closest view of the underground area possible
- Please provide the full names of all travelers when booking. Failure to present a voucher with all travelers' full names at the ticket office prior to entry may result in denied entry to the Colosseum and Roman Forum.
- Each traveler must present a valid passport or ID document that matches the name provided at the time of booking for successful entry to the Colosseum and Roman Forum.

Being in a small-sided tour allows you to get so much knowledge from the guide which makes the experience so great. Marco was our guide and he was very knowledgeable. Used humour effectively and engaged the tour members in coming up with questions in order to get participation.

Knowledgeable tour guide, length of tour was just right. Leave yourself a little time to find your guide before the start of the tour, and don't trust Apple Maps to get you to the meeting place "pin.".

My teenage sons and I I toured the colosseum and the forum with Catarina. She was a fantastic guide-very friendly and knowledgeable. And she gave us enough history and information to bring the sites to life without it being information overload. She navigated us through so smoothly that we barely noticed the crowds. And the arena access is definitely worthwhile.

Fabio was absolutely brilliant. His knowledge, stories, and presentation of the Coliseum really made us feel like we were there in the day to day life of all who had entered before us. He is so passionate about this beautiful historical site you can’t leave his tour or that place and not love the memories you made. Our entire family learned so much about the Coliseum and the history in those 3 hours and it was FUN!!!
If you’re hesitant on a solo tour DONT be spend the extra money, you won’t be disappointed. You can hear him, you get to see everything you would want to see, and you can ask as many question as you need, it’s like you’re meeting up with a friend to go for a walk.

Fabio was excellent. Also good with the two kids (not ours). A small tour is amazing - no need for radios. Plenty of opportunity to get question answered. Early means before the largest crowds - you are still with a lot of people. Plan time to stay after the tour in the forum if you want more than the overview the tour offers. This was our second Liv-Tour and both guides spoke highly of the operator.

We had a private family tour of the Colosseum and ancient Rome with Alessandro Galluzzi, and it was outstanding. Alessandro is incredibly knowledgeable and has a rare talent for bringing Roman history to life through engaging storytelling.

The small group tour of the Colosseum and Forum was really interesting and entertaining. Denis, our guide, did a great job conveying how the Colosseum was a centre for entertainment like modern day stadia and the likenesses were striking. Definitely to be recommended as the right way to visit this iconic landmark and slice of history.

Our guide knew a lot of the staff at the collesseum and how to get in quickly, managed time extremely well and was passionate about the history and gave ample opportunities to ask questions. It is a low tourist season so we were fortunate to have only four people on our tour. I do highly recommend you go with a six person max tour as it makes the logistics and information much easier to access. You will see both the forum and the collesseum and you will get a lot of information, by the end my brain felt like it may explode. Highly recommend.
