Elizabeth was very knowledgeable and thorough with her explanation of Rome’s rich history. Never felt rushed.
Ring your own water or water bottle to fill up when you want. The guide was great maximizing our time where it matters.
Experienced local guide. Detailed explanation of the history of colosseum. Group of 16 is right size and the tour was easy to follow.
Alessandro knows his stuff. Lots of knowledge and very professional. A lot of fun! Would highly recommend this tour...ask for Alessandro!
This tour was one of the highlights of our trip to Rome! Our guide was incredibly informative, kind, and made sure to keep a comfortable pace so everyone could enjoy the experience. Walking on the Colosseum floor and exploring the Roman Forum made the history come alive. We learned so much and would highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting Rome!
Our tour was cancelled just as we were entering the Colloseum. To no fault of the guide, who was very knowledgeable, the people at the entrance of the arena claimed that our tickets were counterfeit and would not let us in.
My husband and I only had one day in Rome to see the Colloseum so this was extremely disappointing.
It was an informative tour of the colosseum and Roman forum. It was very warm, so difficult to continue for 3 hours. The tour guide was very knowledgeable. This tour would be best in early morning or late afternoon due to the summer heat.
Guide Eugenio was late, tour was supposed to start and 9 and didn’t start till 9:30. We spent first 30 minutes outside of Coliseum learning the history which was interesting.
We were supposed to spend 90 minutes in Coliseum but only spend 60. Myself and another person n ended more time to walk
and needed to continuously add guide to slow down. Miscommunications during rest of
Tour.
Valoria was a very knowledgeable guide and took her time showing, answering questions and explaining everything to us.
Experience overall was great. Tour guide was knowledgeable but long winded.. held us in areas a little too long. He also seemed stressed when my elderly father had to use the elevator.
Elizabeth did a wonderful job explaining the entire tour. Great way to explore Rome and its history. 👏🏽
Definitely get the skip the line Ticket. It worth the price. It was a great experience. Our guid was very knowledgeable. Please wear a comfortable shoes and watch your steps.
Francesca was our guide and she was amazing! We learnt a lot and very much enjoyed the tour. Would recommend!
David was a great guide. He has the gift of storytelling that creates a visual understanding of what occurred many years ago! I felt that I was transported back in time!
Good experience, guide was not to everyone’s taste but did know his stuff. Often went off on a tangent!
First off, our guide David was out of this world great. Traveling with a 9 year old can be tough; long historic tours can be hard and boring for kids. But our son James was constantly laughing and engaged. That was worth every penny.
Unfortunately our tour didn’t start great. There was a blackout and lines were stopped and after waiting for 30 minutes we were told no one was allowed in and everyone currently in the Forum had to come out. We thought our day was done. Out of David’s control, he handled it very well and contributed to keep it light and make us, and our son, laugh. After an hour intermission spent at a cafe fueling up on espresso and sweet treats, we were told we were allowed in to the Colosseum.
David continued to tell stories, history and jokes. I have to say, when our time was up, I was sad to have to say goodbye. I wanted him to take us along all day long.
I would give him infinite stars.
I will also recommend him to all of our friends back home coming to Rome for a visit.
Grazie!

David was the best tour guide we have had in all of Europe. He gave us a great overview of the history of Rome, the Roman Forum and the Colosseum. He was funny, interesting and gave us a great historical perspective of all of Rome. We also had a family with children in the group and he was patient and answered their questions and kept them engaged. He also gave us tips to having safe vacation and food recommendations. Truly a memorable experience.
Very well coordinated and Paulina was wonderful. She was very knowledgeable and told stories well. The sites have so much history we wanted to go back and see more but she did a great job highlighting the major pieces and stories. Being able to walk out onto the reconstructed floor to see what the gladiators saw was a real treat.
If you get David at the Colosseum, you’re in for a ride! 😂 He’s a hilarious jerk (in the best way) that teases everyone in the group and makes history fun. You can tell he loves it!
Although I’m pretty sure he’s not a true Roman since he uses a pirate flag as our group identifier (and apparently knows a lot of French curse words…) 😂
Super entertaining tour with David!
David kept us in stitches the entire time. Knowledgeable and a great sense of humor. We liked him so much, we booked another tour with him.
With so many tours, their was a lot of interference in the headsets, so it was hard to hear/understand the guide.
One of the best guides (Franchesca). Interesting tour. Full of information. Very patient with an inquisitive minor. Good handle on historical facts.
Our taxi never showed up and we arrived late, so we missed the tour. We know they waited for us, and are thankful for that, but the guide should have left the entrance tickets with the tour representative who was outside the colosseum. That was something doable and even if we were not going to have a guided tour, we would had been able to visit the place. On top of that, that representative was rude. We ended up buying tickets to see the place on our own.

Hi Marian, sorry you missed the tour due to a late taxi. As explained before, the Colosseum tickets are timed and because you missed the tour, the tickets were expired. Printing expired tickets would not have helped in any way. We hope you were still able to enjoy the site.
This tour was fantastic! Super easy to find the meeting place, (right by the free still/sparkling water spot...bring a water bottle), great tour, very informative, and got a lot of time to spend on the floor. I would recommend this tour.
I've been to the Collusseum, twice now and did the attic and the floor. I would say the floor is better especially since it will be covered in the next 1.5 years so do it now!
Our tour was the Colosseum and our tour guide was David, now my wife and I have been on many many tours all over the world and David was simply the best, this quy is out of his element, he should have been a college professor his classes would be filled and his student would definitely have a passing grade he makes the boring parts very interesting, he is funny and he engages everyone, he have a unique strategy that get us to the front of every exhibit no matter how crowded it is, every so often he would stop and check on everyone, he promise a good tour and he certainly delivered, I would definitely book him again
I would not see the Coliseum without a guide. Our guide David knew way more about the history of the site than he had time to share, and he made the tour fun and memorable with his sense of humour. I would hire him as a guide again.
This was an excellent tour, with some good in-depth information about the history of the Colosseum and Palatine Hill. The tour was about 3 hours, so in terms of the amount of historical information being packed into 3 hours, it was thorough yet concise. Our guide, David, was great!
First class tour group with educated guides. Deborah was wonderful and interesting guide- not in a hurry, took time for questions and English was perfect. We enjoyed the morning with her -
Cynthia was amazing through the tour and very knowledgeable. A big thank you for the amazing tour!!!
Great experience even with heavy rain. Tour guide was very knowledgeable. Was awesome to be on the floor.
