Terrible experience. Paid for arena floor but this company didn’t book it. Bait and switch and blamed on Viator.

We did a private tour with just five of us as a family. Gabriella was an amazing guide. She was fun, exuberant, truly loves her job, is a teacher during the week, and a bottomless fount of knowledge about the Coliseum and the Forum. Everyone had a great time and learned SO MUCH history! It was simply amazing. Highly recommended!!

Zero flexibility by Liv Tours nor Viator. I brought my daughter on her 1st trip to Rome/Italy for her milestone 20th birthday and for my return to Rome after living & studying here when I was 20 as I wanted to share all of the things that are so important to my life. Unfortunately we both got sick two days before our tour and 5 days prior to the end of our trip. Given I wanted to provide her the best possible experience, I signed up for a very expensive private tour of the Coliseum/Forum/Palentine Hill with Liv Tours. Although we still had 3 days left on our trip, I attempted to reschedule our tour, even offering to downgrade our private to a group tour at any time or be refunded, I was met with ZERO flexibility. This was beyond disappointing being a long-term Viator client, as well as providing Liv Tours complete flexibility to attempt to enable my daughter to still get to experience what she had dreamt about her entire life. This complete lack of humanity in a very difficult situation is beyond disappointing being told we needed to drag ourselves out of the pool of sweat we were laying in our beds and physical pain we were in to find a Dr. in a foreign country to get a document to guarantee we were in fact sick?!? Why would we not want to show up to an over $800US top of the line tour only for 2 that I had to save up for an entire year to afford, unless we absolutely couldn’t physically be there?!? Their representative even commented on how terrible I sounded from the fever, severe sore throat, nasal and chest congestion, body pain and disappointment we both were experiencing. We hoped for just a little HUMANITY and flexibility under a really difficult situation, but all Liv Tours AND Viator did was hide behind their “policies” which we literally fell under 1 day outside of. Pitiful and inhumane mistreatment. Again, I offered every flexibility to both Liv Tours AND Viator to help us out (change the day, time and even downgrade from a private 3 hour tour to any other group tour they had on the remaining days of our trip) to a flat out “nothing we can do as outside of our policies”. Is this the type of company you want to do business with? After being a longtime Viator client around the world, I would’ve thought they would’ve better supported us with their partner Liv Tours AND that Liv Tours themselves would’ve done better. INHUMANE

So nice to skip all the lines, and Gaia did an excellent job of explaining the history of the Colosseum and Forum with so many interesting stories. Highly recommend this tour and hopefully you can get Gaia as your guide.

I’m so glad we chose to do the tour with LivTours — Giulia was amazing! This was hands down the best tour we had in Rome. She is incredibly passionate and knowledgeable about Roman history, and we learned so much throughout the experience.
We had tons of questions, and she answered every one of them with patience. She’s also very friendly and easy to talk to. We love taking photos and videos, and she always waited for us without any rush — she even offered to take pictures of us, which we really appreciated.
She also recommended great places to eat, which made our trip even better. We truly missed her as our guide on the other tours we took and wished she could have shown us around everywhere!
I highly recommend LivTours — and especially Giulia!
