Csenge was a great guide! We had a group of 5 and I was a solo traveler. Great conversation and very knowledgeable! I loved all the history she shared. I didn’t know how safe the streets would be at night, I was so happy to find this tour! Would definitely recommend! We had time to walk around the Trevi fountain and walk around inside St. Ignazio church.

I took this tour on 1/10/26 at 8:00pm. It was a wonderful and engaging learning experience. The host was very informative, energetic, and made the time go by quickly. She was absolutely amazing, knowledgeable, and kept us smiling. I would highly recommend this tour and tour guide who said she was in her 70’s. I aspire to be that vibrant and beautiful at her age.

Prepare for an evening walk. You will see some familiar landmarks in a different light. The tour was well organized. And I appreciated how much the guide was able to adjust things for us. One caution, the tour is indeed two hours so you might be getting home later than you originally expected

Surface-Level Tour of Rome’s Greatest Hits

The tour was underwhelming. We were taken to the most obvious sites in Rome — Trevi Fountain, Piazza Navona, the Colosseum — with the exception of Sant’Ignazio Church, which was at least slightly unique. The rest felt entirely run-of-the-mill. Each stop followed the same formula: walk, regroup, a short two-minute overview, then move on. The commentary felt like a basic summary you could read online in minutes. It also seemed the guide was relatively new to Rome, and the delivery reflected that. There wasn’t the depth, local perspective, or storytelling you’d expect from someone deeply rooted in the city’s history and culture. Nothing shared went beyond surface-level highlights. I’m not an expert on Rome, but I felt I already knew most of what was presented through general knowledge. There were no hidden gems, no layered context, and no real sense of passion. Overall, it felt more like checking off landmarks than truly experiencing the city.

I found the tour yo br interesting and educational. There was a few nice locations and good historical information given by our guide. She did her best to make it entertaining. The location where the tour began was difficult to find and the end was a little bit of an anticlimax at the Collisseum. I learnt alot about the Trevi Fountain and she was excellent at at answering any questions. I just felt where the tour began and ended could be better. Just myself opinion.

This was a great experience. My friend and I arrived in Rome earlier in the afternoon and thought this would be perfect way to introduce us to the city. Our guide Yousef was amazing, super informative and helpful with navigating around the city. He was very knowledgeable about the history of Rome. Would definitely recommend this experience to anyone who is big on european history or wants to walk around and look at the sites at night!!

A great experience...don't miss this tour!

I really enjoyed this tour but I think it's mainly because we had the BEST guide! Sharon, is an American who's been living in Italy more than she's lived in the US as she says :) She's very friendly, funny and passionate about the city of Rome! I've learnt so many things thanks to all the stories and information she has shared! I booked this tour last minute (2 hours before), it was my first day in Rome, so, long day for me but no regrets! The energy of the city is so different by night, especially you have less tourists in the streets and around monuments than by day. Also admiring the monuments with their lights gives another perspective. It's a very original tour if you want something more "authentic" to discover Rome. We were a small group of people (8 persons from different countries) which was great because it was more easy and comfortable to listen to Sharon speech and also ask questions. Please be aware that the tour is a 2,5 hours walk, so wear comfortable shoes and if you're coming in winter, wear warm clothes and don't forget your umbrella, because the rain is on and off! However, note you can leave before the end if needed, just notice the guide. Also, the walk is very smooth so you don't have to be a sporty person to do it. I warmly thank Sharon for this tour and also our informal chats which were pretty cool :) I will definetely book another tour with her if she has one! Thank you again and see you soon I hope!
