Our guide picked us up directly from our hotel, and the experience was incredible from start to finish. The Vatican Museums, gardens, Sistine Chapel, and St. Peter’s Basilica were all breathtaking.
Our guide deserves extra credit for being so considerate — she arranged for my wife’s 80-year-old parents to use elevators and find places to sit and rest while the rest of us navigated stairs and longer lines. Her attentiveness made a huge difference and allowed everyone to enjoy the experience comfortably.
An excellent tour — both beautifully organized and very thoughtful.

Private walking tour of the Vatican City with Maria who was excellent. Fantastic knowledge and so accommodating. She made sure that we saw everything we wanted and more. Her historical and artistic knowledge was second to none as was her English. She made the whole experience so enjoyable and we felt that we learnt so much from her. Our tour guide, Kate, was amazing. She had incredible knowledge of the Vatican and was able to navigate us through on an extremely busy day there. She was authentic and kind. She was able to answer every question we had and provide more background and information so we could get the most out of our experience. It is an expensive tour but worth every penny.

Very long and was given opportunity to skip a few rooms in order to use restroom and get something to eat and drink.
Excellent tour guide who helped during entire experience, including getting us to driver to get back to apartment.
Took luxury option, which I recommend since it allowed a more personal experience.

Having a personal guide to shepherd us through Vatican City was such a reverent and special experience. Gio Lucca’s knowledge of the Vatican museum’s history, art, symbolism was extensive. It was wonderful to be able to see special areas based on our interests vs a pre-set tour script. We were able to pause and ask more in depth questions in areas that had special meaning to us. Highly recommend.

We booked an excellent "Private Vatican Museums Hidden Gems" Tour. We had booked this particular one because it was longer than many others, and the Vatican requires much time to appreciate. (Even the four hours was, of course, only a small taste.) We were absolutely thrilled with our "Eyes of Rome" Guide, Rosalba Cilione (an Art Historian, whose business card verily calls herself a "Storyteller"). She carefully chose a reasonable set of elements on which we should focus., and provided both broad perspectives and sufficient in-depth (and fascinating) detail. The details (indeed stories!) brought the architecture, paintings, and sculpture alive and made our trip special..

It was disappointing since we did not get the full 4 hours as described. The guide missed several important masterpieces and he rushed us thru the tour without giving us some time to really enjoyed the facility. Totally not worth it.

The Vatican is vast but our guide Alessandro broke it down into manageable and interesting parts. He asked what WE wanted to see, constantly made sure we were comfortable moving along. The quick access to the museum as well as different areas within was greatly appreciated. He was so knowledgeable and so friendly. We highly recommend the tour and our guide.

Tour was informative yet we felt we were being rushed by the tour guide. The Vatican was crowded but not overwhelming. We should have insisted we slow down and take more time especially in the Sistine Chapel.

This was such a worthwhile experience, we knew it would be crazy busy, but our private tour with Rosy made it seem so much less stressful and what an amazing guide! As the Vatican Museums are large Rosy ensured we saw what she considered the highlights in each. We learnt so much from her background knowledge of the Museums, Sistine Chapel and St Peter’s Basilica which she presented in an easy and enjoyable way. The insight we gained from an art history perspective were amazing. Her ability to pass on set in a “story telling” manner was great. We would highly recommend the tour, and if you are lucky you may get Rosy as your guide!

Wonderful tour guide, very knowledgeable but incredibly overpriced. There are much, substantially cheaper options that I’ve taken in the past so I wouldn’t recommend spending this kind of money for this experience. You’ll get the same information from a much cheaper option- perhaps you’ll have to wait in line a little longer but it’s worth saving $900 USD to go that route. This is no reflection on our tour guide who was wonderful, incredibly knowledgeable, very kind, and patient as we had to stop multiple times to accommodate my mother who was not feeling well.

Great highlights of the Vatican tour. Our tour guide (Benjamin) was excellent. He provided just the right amount of detail and information about everything we were seeing. He did not spend 20 min discussing every little detail like some other guides (THANK GOD!) and made the tour interesting and fast moving, which was exactly what we wanted. So we saw what we wanted, skipped most lines and learned many interesting stories. Great tour!

There were four teenagers on An extremely hot day and 2 adults that were having problems walking, and she refused to speed things up. Also at one of the checkpoints, my son‘s backpack was told by Security that it was too big and had to leave it. When the security guard checked, he said it was really less than an inch too big so go ahead and the tour guide had the nerve to tell my son to check his backpack, even though the guard said it was fine. Tour was not worth five dollars. When you have a private tour you have to be more accommodating to the people that have paid for your expertise.

Our guide was amazing! We have. Large family and wide range of ages so she was accommodating and patient. She even helped us get an Uber back to our hotel. She was the best! Only bummer was there was a LOT of people so it made it difficult to hear sometimes. It was very hot! But still worth it.

Our guide, Maria, was amazing. She helped us get through security and each of the sites with ease and always knew the best spots in each section where we could pause and fully appreciate the amazing works of art. Her detailed explanations of the history and analysis of the key works of art deepened our experience immeasurably.
