Fabulous guide Maria!
The whole tour was very well organised and ran smoothly. We were so grateful to skip all the long queues. Maria was a fabulous guide. Clearly she is an expert in Vatican knowledge and history. She had a good sense of humour and made the whole experience fun and worthwhile. Highly recommend The Tour Guide, especially if you’re lucky enough to have Maria up the front with her red flag!

Best tour with guide Debra
This was probably the best tour our party of four have ever done. Our guide Debra was knowledgeable and ensured we got the most out of the experience. She navigated the crowds like a pro to ensure our tour group got the best vantage point, her explanations were clear and interesting. Debra really made this visit extra special. We would definitely recommend this tour.

Emperors and Senators and Gladiators, oh my!
This tour was incredibly informative. Our guide Luca was an archeologist who had actually performed excavations in the Roman Forum and more recently contributed to the restoration plans for the Colosseum. He brought Roman history to life, including so many interesting facts about the Roman emperors, senate, gladiators, and more. We learned so much on this tour and enjoyed it very much.

Great tour!
The tour covered the living quarters on the hill, the forum and colosseum. It was very well done and our guide did an amazing job giving us relevant details as well as answering questions. All three areas were very crowded, so it was no small task to keep the group moving and together, which he did very well. I would highly recommend this tour.

When it comes to history, Rome is in a league of its own. That’s why even the most well-read history buff can find the Eternal City overwhelming, especially on their first visit. Fortunately, Rome historical tours help you cover serious ground, thanks to seasoned guides who know how to head underground at the Colosseum, where to take the best photos of St. Peter’s Basilica, and when to visit Palatine Hill to avoid the crowds. Rome wasn’t built in a day, but on a tour that includes transportation, audio guides, and skip-the-line tickets, you can easily cover its most iconic landmarks in one day.
