After a visit to Tempio di San Biagio, a Renaissance church backed by Val d’Orcia’s undulating hills, it’s time for lunch. Savor a 3-course meal of local fare, and sample the region’s wine, including the Brunello di Montalcino.
In the afternoon, enjoy free time in Pienza. Its UNESCO-listed historic center was realized in Renaissance times by Pope Pius II, and it remains as impressive today as it was in the pontiff’s days.
Regroup at the agreed time, and return to Rome by coach.

This tour was great. Our guide Chiara was excellent. The scenery was beautiful. The towns were so picturesque. Looks like a long tour but there is plenty of free time and rests on the coach. We learnt so much about Rome and Tuscany. The lunch was not bad. The spaghetti was great, and you get to try 7 local wines together with other local produce. I would highly recommend this one.

This day tour from Rome is excellent if you’re looking to see a little bit of Tuscany. The three towns were like a postcard. It’s a long day, but well worth it. Claudio was definitely a 5 star driver & guide. Everything was perfect. Also, Sarah, our guide in Montepulciano, was so passionate about her country. The stops for lunch in Pienza and at the winery in Montalcino, were also great. This was one of our favorite tours.
We had a wonderful day trip to Tuscany! Our tour guide was incredibly sweet, kind, and welcoming. She made the whole experience enjoyable and was so helpful throughout the day. The scenery was absolutely beautiful, and the wine tasting and countryside views made the trip even more special. Highly recommend this experience!
Just an incredible trip to beautiful Tuscany. We were blown away with the views and history of the region. Our guide Chiara was amazing with her knowledge of the area and our driver Giovanni was outstanding. Do not hesitate to book this tour as you will come away feeling so satisfied.

The guide Laura was superb; quirky, funny and knowledgeable. She kept a good pace and PATIENCE :) even with those coming a little late back to the bus but "hooray" when we all became consistent with punctuality. LOL, Although the hike of Montepulciano was tough, it was amazing to be in the tranquil vibe of Tuscany. Great experience with this tour company City Wonders.
Had a wonderful time exploring the side of Tuscany we haven't seen. We had a good glimpse of some lovely villages that we might want to stay in the next time around. The group tour was fun and got to experience some delicious Tuscan wine and foods. Some little time to shop and explore on our own.
Even if you don't love wine, as I do, this is a magnificent way to experience Tuscany. I thoroughly enjoyed every aspect of this excursion, and was very grateful that our guide Antonino was attentive to my accessibility needs. I use a mobility aid to get around, and he very kindly checked in on me at regular intervals to ensure I was as comfortable as I could be. I come from an area that is particularly hilly and has many historic castles, which I visit frequently, so I knew that I would manage this, but the extra care taken by Antonino was hugely appreciated. The food and wine was incredible, the views took my breath away, and I am very grateful to Antonino for recommending the pecorino gelato, it was delicious!
Its all day but so worth it. It was breathtaking, the towns were so quaint and the 3 course meal & wine at the farm was outstanding.

I am a very cautious traveler and make sure I research to find the best of the best and this tour absolutely delivered on that!! Our tour guide was CLAUDIO and he was outstanding! Honestly he made the trip more amazing! By giving recommendations, stopping for extra photo ops on the side of the road, and taking extra pit stops and dropping us off at an attractive after our tour! The tour itself was absolutely amazing! We did the SEMI private and had 8 people total in our tour and it was so perfect and peaceful! We all talked, ate and had a great time! Got sooooo many great photos and got lots of shopping time! Would recommend if your coming to Europe and you don’t know who to book through absolutely book here!
Great day trip and our guide was very informative. We visited a few places along the way which we a nice break from being on the bus. Visited a big "tasting" store where we sampled many chocolates, spreads, truffles, olive oils, wine, cheese, perfume etc. Gave us plenty of time to shop. We got frees time in each place we visited. We were served a nice lunch. Beautiful country & wonderful medevil towns!
This tour was amazing. PatriIzia was lovely, very knowledgeable, patient, friendly, and kept everything super organized. Francesco was a great driver. He truly made us feel safe. The bus was very comfortable and spacious. We met at the Plaza del Poppolo, got in our groups, then, hopped in the bus, out to Tuscany. This is one of a lifetime experience. Even though it was about 12 hours, it didn't feel like that long. We were always entertained by the beautiful scenery and history shared by Patrizia. A must do!
This was a full day of beautiful scenery, great stops and good food. The pasta and wine at the winery were the best we had so far and the family owned and run farm winery was charming and a high point of our visit to Italy.
GREAT TRIP AND SUPERB GUIDE! We have done a number of excursions as we travel overseas and this one was the best! Excellent itinerary but the real shining star was the guide Eduardo! VERY informative, great sense of humor, and kept our safety and concerns most in mind! He is a real jewel of a guide and this excursion was the BEST!!!!
Our day trip to Tuscany was worth it! Montepulciano was a highlight, excellent local tour guide of the village and a wonderful lunch at a vineyard and family estate. Very enjoyable!

A beautiful introduction into Tuscany - our guide Viviana was awesome!! We saw Montelpuciano and visited a winery that’s been owned by the same family for over 2000 years!

The food and experience with the family that makes the Noble wine was wonderful. The sisters were very happy to share their food and story. The different foods and the traditional handmade pasta was fanominal.

We thoroughly enjoyed our day out in Tuscany with our knowledgeable guide Chiara ("Kiara"). From the history of the area, beautiful Tuscan views, sampling regional products at Etruria, lunch at Pucino - a local family restaurant with wine tasting and some time to explore and shop in the beautiful towns of Montepulciano and Pienza. We really enjoyed the local tour guide in Montepulciano and our time spent in this historic town. We were even treated to some bonus local entertainment in Pienza! Our bus driver Ramin was excellent. Laura, was our tour guide- and to be honest- we wouldn’t have wanted it any other way. She was funny, honest, kind, and made the entire experience relaxing and fun without being too much. We enjoyed the tour very much. The tour was good, but it was great because of her. And a huge thank you to our bus driver today (he was awesome too).
