This trip was ok but know that your time in Sorrento and Positano depends on how much traffic there is on the way to each cities. You will only spend 1.5 hours in each town. It was nice to be there but definitely will need more time. I would recommend to stay in amalfi coast instead of just doing a day trip. With the say trip, you will have time to grab a quick bite and look for a souvenir and that’s about it. The best part of this trip was the boat ride though.

We originally booked for an Amalfi coast boat trip and we got offered this alternative trip because for some reason, they cannot provide our original booked trip (our original booking is more expensive than the alternative trip, still waiting for a refund). The change in our trip was so last minute (less than 24 hrs), and given our limited time in Italy we just had to accept the alternative trip which is Pompeii and “Positano” from Rome. It will be expensive to cancel it and book a totally different trip with another company because of the short time frame. So again, we accepted the Pompeii and Positano trip. We enjoyed the Pompeii trip, the archaeologist guide was really knowledgeable. The Pompeii guide is different from our main guide by the way. After Pompeii, we were supposed to go to Positano and that is the expectation. Turns out, we are going to Sorrento. All my itinerary planned for Positano was thrown out the window. It is false advertising to say Positano on the trip and bring us to Sorrento. I am disappointed in that part because Positano, the Spaggia grande is the main purpose of this trip and that got taken away and we were misled. The main tour guide kept saying Positano during the briefing, then as we were getting close to thedestination, he handed out Sorrento flyers and next thing you know, we stopped at Sorrento. So pls beware of this false advertising. I made a lot of research and Sorrento should not be called Positano. I am still in the process of getting in touch with Viator about this issue.

Definitely worth it! Sorento, the ferry ride along the Amalfi Coast and Positano was absolutely breath taking. Our guide, Flavia, was wonderful. Knowledgeable, funny and so kind. Definitely ask for her. And her restaurant recommendation in Positano was delicious!

Our guide Paris was amazing. Very fun and knowledgeable. My friends and I really loved this trip . The day was perfect ! It was well organized and much calmer than a large bus full of people. One problem was the 2 year old on the trip. He was loud and rambunctious and kept bumping my seat the whole way. Why would parents bring a 2 year old ? Also cell phone talking should not be allowed.

Eileen was our tour guide and she was AMAZING! The trip was everything we expected it to be! We had just enough time to explore, and her recommendations made the tour! We would have been lost without her guidance, however it was also so fun to go out and explore on our own! The bus was clean, cold and safe! Overall the trip surpassed our expectations! Sorrento is a place I would love to visit again!

The itinerary indicated a stop Amalfi coast and Positano where we can enjoy the water and take a dip. However, they just took us to Sorento and then back to Rome. The guide dismissed our question and did not provide an explanation on why the rest of the tour was cut short. It was disappointing since these destinations were the primary reason we booked this trip.

It was a nice and comfortable ride. Got to stop for some beautiful pictures in Sorrento and then went onto a ferry cruise from Sorrento to Amalfi coast which we had a little bit of time to shop, but not enough. In my opinion Fabio was our tour guide very knowledgeable and was fun to be around and kudos too our driver on the bus it was a nail-biter of a ride going around the cliffs with that big bus, but he was awesome one of the funnest trips. I had here in Europe so far

I’m so glad we got to see the beautiful Amalfi Coast. Fabio was a knowledgeable and courteous guide and our day trip included shopping, eating, bussing and cruising- and even a swim in the ocean. It was a busy day and climbing the steps in Positano is no joke. We fit a lot in- but didn’t have much time to relax and enjoy the villages.

A very poor experience, it's not really a cruise as described, but just ferry tickets. We spent most of the day in transit instead of enjoying the places, which made us very tired. In addition, we didn't get the time listed on the itinerary and it was significantly shortened, which meant that we didn't have time to enjoy the stops. In addition, the stop in the waters of Amalfi was basically a ferry waiting for more passengers after making a stop, which was very terrible, because I can also buy ferry tickets. I've done a cruise in Amalfi in the past and it wasn't a ferry, but a real cruise where we had our own boat. Not recommended at all.

Manuela was our guide. She was somewhat dealt a bad hand for this tour. The microphone on the min-bus only worked for the very 1st 15 minutes of the trip. Therefore, much of our drive was in silence - which is unfortunate as it was a lot of time driving and she planned to share info during the drive. I blame the tour company for this. They should have replaced the microphone when we hit our first destination, even if the driver drove to a store to buy a new microphone. manual did try at some point to go in the middle of the bus and speak loudly so we can all hear her but then someone on the bus mentioned to her that she was yelling in their ear, so Manuela stopped talking.
I also ranked this tour lower as there just wasn't enough time at the locations. The bus dropped us off at Sorrento. We got a lemon granita - sorbet and spent about 15 minutes eating it, taking pictures, then off to the ferry. Sorrento is beautiful and we were not provided time to explore this town. I think that should be part of the tour to provide time there.
The boat ride on the almalfi coast was nice. We boated to Positano. Again, a beautiful place. The website states we were going to have 2.5 hrs but we were only provided 2 hrs before being boarded onto a boat again. This made it difficult to take a dip in the ocean or have enough time to take in the town as you needed to eat lunch. I think more time should be allotted to this area. The boat ride from Positano to Salerno -more almalfi coast views. This boat ride was 1.5 hrs. Then when you reach Salerno, all you did is get off the boat and walk to the bus to drive home. No sightseeing at all in Salerno. So, I think the boat ride from Positano to Salerno should be removed from the trip (enough almalfi coast views were seen from the 1st boat ride). Removing this section of the tour would provide to spend time at Sorrento and more time at Positano.

It is rare to find such an educated person as a guide who knows everything that tourists are interested in: history, food and tourist attractions.

It was a wonderful experience. We traveled in an air conditioned bus to Sorrento where we caught a boat to Positano. Our guide was well informed and passed on tons of information along the way. We had a fabulous lemon Granata in Sorrento and a great pizza in Positano. I have always wanted to tour this area and will definitely be back. So glad for this opportunity!

We had a great tour guide and driver but that was all. 8 hours in the bus return to Rome , 2 hours on a ferry and 2 hours in Positano (which is very pretty). We didn’t get to see Sorrento or Salerno. It was a waste of a long day. Should have rather trained to Sorrento and back. A lot cheaper and would have seen one place more thorough. Very disappointing but you learn from your mistakes.

I wish there was a write up that on Saturdays you may encounter some traffic. If so, we would’ve picked a different day so that we didn’t have to miss 2 of the 4 stops that was mentioned in the tour schedule due to traffic. We were very disappointed, not being able to experience, Amalfi coast and Sorrento, which we thought were two of the highlights of the entire tour. Our tour guide was very apologetic and was great otherwise. We feel we only got half of the experience but paid full price.

The Amalfi Coast tour with the boat ferry was a fantastic experience and very well organized from start to finish. Our tour guide, Enrica was incredibly knowledgeable and shared lots of great insights along the way.
We had a wonderful time in Positano enjoying delicious food while the kids had a blast swimming in the ocean. The ferry rides were smooth, scenic, and added a special touch to the whole experience, offering beautiful views of the coastline.
Overall, it was a relaxing, well paced day, and I would absolutely recommend this tour to anyone looking to explore the Amalfi Coast in comfort.

This experience had great reviews so while on our honeymoon my husband and I decided to try it. We did not get the lively excited tour guide that everyone mentioned in the reviews that we read but he was knowledgeable. The first stop was supposed to be Sorrento but due to traffic we weren't able to stop so we didn't get the lemon granida nor did we get to view the Sorrento gulf as described. Then instead of walking to the ferry and enjoying the view in Sorrento, our group was running through town like the family on home alone to catch the ferry. We arrive to an overcrowded ferry with filty windows so we couldn't marvel at the view of the Amalfi Coast as described. We did manage the go to the back of the boat and stand to view the outside when arriving and that was beautiful. Next we arrived in Positano and that was a described. We did walk around and enjoy about 2 hrs of food, viewing the shops and walking on the beach.
The boat ride back was better as we were able to sit at the top of the boat outside and take in the beautiful cruise back.
I will say to make up for the frustration, we did get complimentary snacks and beverages on a bathroom break so that was considerate. Overall it was ok but not what we paid for especially with this being our first time in Italy and on our honeymoon.

We never did the tour due to Viator and the tour operators bad emails and communications! Booked back in August of 24 and was given email instructions where to go to redemption point then go to meeting point which are 20 minutes from each other. Then received an email in December that changed both meeting points and cancelled high speed train part of tour to bus tour transportation and moved up start time from 8:30am to 7:00. We then get and email like in May that says to disregard previous email. Then we get a email saying that previous email was sent by mistake and to disregard this email. While here in Rome, I messaged both companies to confirm meeting points and time. No response so I had to call long distance to reach tour operator and they tell me to go directly to meeting points because I have an emailed voucher they could scan and that would save time since we have to be there at 6:45am! We get to bus terminal at 6:20am and cannot find anyone anywhere. We can’t reach tour operator but we do talk to Viator and they can’t reach anyone. Finally at 7:10 am they tell us we were supposed to be at the first email redemption point and that we missed the tour! We are very upset with Viator as this trip was the highlight of staying in Rome. They have not refunded our money yet and we still have several more Viator excursions planned in France and Barcelona. Hope they go better than this one did!

While the guide was good and the views from the boat were great, it’s frustrating that the itinerary says Sorrento and then our tour did not stop in Sorrento at all.
This was the town I wanted to see and was told we were doing the itinerary in a different order (which I understand for logistical purposes), but it should be noted on the itinerary that your tour may not get to all the stops. Really disappointing! There was also no lemon granita, either.
Viator your descriptions really overdo it, so plan for a good day but don’t set your expectations for what you read in the itinerary, because it’s not always true!

Unfortunately this tour was not delivered as listed. Right from the beginning we were told about a change. Instead of Sorrento, we were going to Almafi. At this time the boat rides were still on. Half way we took a break at a rest stop upon returning to the bus told boats aren’t running due to rough seas. We are now going back to Sorrento to follow original tour by bus. I understand that weather is beyond anyone’s control but in the process we do pay for ferry tickets but no refund is rewarded nor any special treats for the change. Now in Sorrento, we were not given the lemon granitas (again in the price) but no real explanation why just a “no sorry.” I suggest you get a walking tour app because this tour just drops you off in the tourist shopping area with little direction. It is not a guided tour through the towns. To sum up the experience, we lost 30 minutes in Positano and no Salerno. As my husband described it, we paid for a very expensive bus ride. Could have done this on our own for a quarter of the price. Cities were beautiful which is why I gave it two stars, but strongly urge guests to considering planning it on your own so you are not disappointed.
