I recommend this tour to anyone who is trying to get the most out of the coliseum and forum without feeling rushed. Valerio was great with explaining the history behind all the monuments with some humor as well. Ask for him when booking to get the real roman insight !

This was a very long tour...

This was a very long tour day. Total time from start to finish was about 15 hours. So if you want to take this trip be aware of the time commitment. Getting to see the Italian countryside from the bus from Rome to Salerno was great. We did not have any time in Salerno but boarded the boat and went to Positano where we had several hours. The 90 minutes in Amalfi was a perfect amount of time to see the town and buy some souvenirs. Are tour guide was excellent and made the trip enjoyable.

Long but worth it!

It's definately worth the time. We booked a small group tour & was in a bus of 53 total passengers to & from Rome. When we arrived at Pompeii, we were broken into 2 smaller groups. Fabio was excellent explaining the Pompeii sites. We had time to eat pizza (not included) before loading back on to the big bus heading to Positano. We stopped at a Lemoncello factory for a tasting with a huge gift shop. We loved the melon cream cello! We loaded on to smaller shuttles & were transported to Positano. It's a hike down to the cathedral & climb back up. Lots of shops with beautiful things to buy. Loaded back on the shuttle to the lemoncello factory, back on the big bus & back to Rome. We would have liked time for souvenir shopping in Pompeii but were rushed through the bookstore directly to the museum. Veronica was amazing & easy to understand. Full of information & good at croud control ;-) .

Great

Klair was so good and great with my 11 year old. She was so engaged and lots of questions and she was so good to her and everyone else on the trip. We all loved this trip. The only thing I didn’t really care for was the limoncello factory but free samples were nice and we got a bottle of wine to enjoy later. All together, this was a long but great day. Enough stops to break things up too.

We went as a family, 2 adults and 3 kids. It was a long day but we had a great time. Our guide was Flavio, he kept us entertained with stories and informed about the days agenda. Our guide within Pompeii was also great. The pizza we had for lunch was delicious and the limoncello tasting was an unexpected bonus. I highly recommend this tour.

Great option for last-minute tickets to the Colosseum

This was an outstanding option for last-minute tickets to get into the Colosseum, forum, and Palatine Hill. We hired our own guide who took us on the tour. It can be very difficult to get into the Colosseum at the last minute. This was a great option. People at the office where we picked up the ticketswere very helpful.. we had the option for the audio guide.

Deborah was great!

Deborah hands down is the best tour guide. I was not expecting much, as I am not a very religious person, but Deborah literally brought me to tears with her advanced knowledge and respect for the Vatican. She made this experience one of the most memorable from my entire trip. The tour was extremely educational, and everything we viewed was absolutely stunning and beautiful. She handled the large crowds with no issues and got us through with hardly any wait. I would highly recommend this tour for everyone. I will remember it for a long time

Our tour was Fantastic. Our guide had so much interesting information. Better than expected. Although misleading. Myself and the others on our tour all thought we paid for underground. Since there is no receipt from the day I booked only their app you cannot confirm on. Too expensive for not going underground. As much as we still loved the tour. Be aware when booking

The opportunity and experience of a lifetime !

Be prepared for an experience of a lifetime from a guide with more information than most university professors. There are a few physical requirements for walking the entire tour, heat during the summer, uneven footing throughout and stairs plus loud crowd noise. These are minor inconveniences for the experience but should be considered. DO NOT MISS THE OPPORTUNITY OF A LIFETIME, JUST DO IT ! If you are lucky enough to have Georgia as a guide it is a double bonus!

Villa d’Este is awe-inspiring

Fantastic insight into Roman society 2000 years ago at Hadrian’s Villa (palace) and 1800’s at Villa d'Este, which has been on my bucket list since I learned about Italian landscape design at university. Totally worth the visit despite the punishing heat in August. The hydrological engineering & use of what starts as a tiny water source into multiple fountains & sculptures without use of pumps or electricity is awe-inspiring & spectacular. Definitely a highlight of my trip.
