It was great visiting all the sites. I loved being picked up from my hotel instead of traveling 2 hours by train and trying to figure how to get there from Rome to Florence. Our tour guide Rashi was very nice and knowledgeable. He made sure we got great pictures at each site. I liked how at each historical site we got 30 min to 2 hour to walk around ourselves and explore or go to the little shops. The driver was great too, nice peaceful drive, the van was comfortable and clean. Would recommend this tour to anyone I know!

It was a great one day trip to cover Pisa and Florence if you have less time. Tour guide Nariman and Driver Emanuele were the best! Nariman is a very enthusiastic tour guide who accommodated our requests and took us to try the truffle tasting at Florence. A must do experience 👌🏽

The car provided for our long trip was not good. The seats in the back were so low that we could not see out of the windows!! We were under the impression that we would be in a minivan so we could see out. The car made me carsick as all I could see was the sky. It was bad and very uncomfortable.
We were not treated with the level of care and respect we expected from the price that we paid for this excursion. I am not picky and I don’t often complain but this was unacceptable.

There is a lot of driving, but you get to see the countryside and get out of Rome for a day. Our guide and driver, Juliana and Luigi, were such a delight throughout the trip. Got to see the Cathedral and Leaning Tower in Piza, and David in Florence. It was quick but worthwhile for a one day trip. My wife left her raincoat in the van when they dropped us off at the hotel. Luigi delivered it to us the next day. Great service, very personable and informative. Thanks to both Juliana and Luigi!

We really enjoyed this tour. We took this tour as a family group of 5 and we not only saw a lot and learned a lot, we had the good fortune of having Nicholas and Giordano as our guide and our driver. These gentleman had taken us on another tour with welcome Italy a couple of days prior and we really enjoyed traveling with them. Two people in our group were Senior Citizens that needed a little extra help with their mobility and getting in and out of the van and Nicholas and Giordano looked after them helping them in every way going above and beyond to ensure they were comfortable. Nicholas once again orchestrated everything perfectly and provided a lot of interesting information about the things we were seeing and towns we were passing. Giordano was always ready to help with loading or unloading the minivan and he went the extra mile to position the vehicle at the end of each stop to accommodate our seniors. The scenery was terrific, we had a lovely visit to Pisa and a wonderful lunch courtesy of a restaurant recommendation from Nicholas. Our tour after lunch with a local Florentine guide was very enjoyable, we got to see the statue of David and learn about Michelangelo and we had a nice walk through the heart of Florence with the guide who provided a lot of interesting historical information. Our thanks again to Nicholas and Giordano, we truly enjoyed the tour and appreciate all you did to make it a memorable experience.

Avoid WELCOME ITALY – Highly Unprofessional and Misleading
Our experience with Welcome Italy was deeply disappointing and far from what was advertised. I strongly advise against booking with this company, especially for high-value tours. Below is a factual breakdown of what was promised versus what we received:
• Promised: Complimentary transfer in a minivan
Reality: We were picked up in a small sedan with inadequate legroom, which made for an uncomfortable journey.
• Promised: Guided visit to the Piazza dei Miracoli in Pisa
Reality: We arrived in Pisa at 10:30 AM, only to find that the site doesn’t open until 1:30 PM. We were unable to visit it at all.
• Promised: Entry to the Duomo di Pisa
Reality: The Duomo didn’t open until 11:30 AM, so we spent unnecessary time waiting, with no coordination or alternative arrangements provided.
Our time in Pisa was poorly planned and essentially wasted. Unfortunately, the situation deteriorated further upon arrival in Florence:
• We were introduced to a local guide who, we learned, had only been contacted by the company an hour before our arrival. There was no preparation or organization.
• The itinerary specifically listed admission to the Galleria dell’Accademia. In reality, admission is free on the first Sunday of the month—information the company used to imply a paid ticket. the line stretched around the building-2 blocks.
When we attempted to voice our concerns to the company representative, we were met with unprofessionalism, dismissiveness, and no accountability. No efforts were made to rectify the situation, and no apology was ever offered.
In total, we spent over €1,000 on this tour. We entered just one building throughout the entire experience. The services were not only subpar but blatantly misleading.
This company is untrustworthy. Based on our experience, I would caution anyone considering booking with Welcome Italy: the promises made on their website are not delivered, and customer service is virtually nonexistent. You will likely walk away frustrated, disappointed, and significantly out of pocket.

While we spent most of our time in Rome, we used these day trips with Welcome Italy as a way to explore other cities during our trip We had Dina as our guide and Massimo as our driver. They were a great team. We were picked up at our hotel right on time. Massimo was a skilled and careful driver and very courteous person. Having Dina as our guide was outstanding. She was extremely knowledgeable and provided a wealth of information but without making it overwhelming. She was very friendly and always willing to give tips on what to do or where to find things we were interested in, even outside the scope of the tour. Dina guided us in our visit to Pisa to see the cathedral, the baptistery and the leaning tour. She offered excellent explanations and was always quick to offer to take a photo for us. In Florence we also met another guide, Giovanni, who guided us through Florence and the visit to the Academy Museum, where we had the opportunity to see the David of Michelangelo. Awe inspiring! Giovanni gave us a phenomenal! explanation about the evolution of the painting styles from Middle Ages to the Renaissance. When in conversation with Dina she heard that we were interested in also visiting Pompei and the Amalfi coast she called her company’s office and made all the arrangements to make it possible for us to take a tour of Pompei, the Amalfi coast and Positano two days later. We had the luck of getting that tour with Dina and Massimo as well. In Pompei we met another guide, Francesco, who gave us an amazing tour of Pompei. We learned so much! We recommend these tours to anyone really interested in learning while having fun. Gracie Dina e Massimo!

We had a beautiful day trip from Rome to Pisa and Florence. Nicolas (our guide) and Massimo (our driver) arrived bright and early at 6:30 at our location to start the day. After a nice rest stop for breakfast, we proceeded to Pisa were we had a wonderful tour of all the buildings on the square and had enough time for the Pisa tower climb (need to purchase tickets separately in advance to ensure a spot). After lunch, we proceeded to Florence where we were met by Giovanni, our guide. We got to see the David and explore the beautiful city, before returning home to Rome. Massimo and Nicolas were extremely accommodating and knowledgeable. Highly recommend!

Grateful for a tour that could bring us from to Pisa because we didn’t have time to research how to get there and appreciate the sights in Pisa. I’m not going to lie: It’s quite expensive considering it doesn’t include lunch (which the tour to Pietrelcina had). But for us, it’s a once-in-a-lifetime experience and we got to see the Leaning Tower of Pisa and more! The trip to Pisa was surprisingly faster than what I thought would be a 5.5 hour trip as per Google Mapa. We were there in 4 hours. Grateful for the competent and safe driving of our driver Roberto. Grateful to Arif who was kind and shared information on our way to Pisa. We had 30minutes to spend in the Piazza Miracoli which I think is enough time to pray in the Church, appreciate the structures and take photos in the area. We asked Arif for recommendations for lunch. He recommended Vecchio Mercato as we were headed to Florence after. He gave us the link to the menu for us to see the choices and prices so we could decide if we wanted to go there or not. We liked what we saw and Arif checked if we wanted to have a table reserved for us. We said yes and he did. It’s a Trattoria with delicious food and we enjoyed our choices of the Florence steak which was perfectly seasoned and succulent (we ordered 2kg but thinking back, 1.5kg of steak would have been enough for our family of 5 considering we also ordered pasta (the cream-based spinach ravioli is yummy!) and desserts. It helped that there seemed to already by a tie-up between Viator and the Trattoria because the Trattoria owner/attendant (?) knew of the 2:30pm meeting time with our next tour leader. We were met at 2:30pm by Rashi, who was kind in coordinating with me the night before in confirming that her boss Renato approved of our request to be picked up at our hotel (which was not among the pick-up choices in the app). Rashi introduced us to Giovanni our tour leader in Florence. Our family appreciated Giovanni’s knowledge delivered with such warmth and expertise. He seemed to known people we passed and they knew him too! We loved our time admiring with awe Michaelangelo’s David. We loved the different structures in Florence! So interesting with the stories Giovanni shared like of the author of Pinocchio, of Mona Lisa, of the image of a metal door that served as Michelangelo’s inspiration for Adam in the creation image in the Sistine Chapel. We enjoyed our time with Rashi, Arif and Giovanni in Florence. Happy that Giovanni also shared his personal recipe of making Gnocchi. Loved how the lines were not long with the tickets we had. Grateful to Renato, Rashi, Arif, and Giovanni. My only concern was not being able to avail of my approved Viator points for another booking I was making as the website/platform didn’t allow me to select the currency (INR) that would make it possible for me to have the points applied at check out. I tried it. Arif tried it. Despite closing/restarting the app and my phone, it didn’t work. Very disappointed that I couldn’t avail of these points which would have lessened the price of another booking I made. Seriously consider fixing your app/website to address this concern so that customers can avail of their approved discount. Thank you!

Seeing the Leaning Tower in Pisa, David in Florence and the country of Italy. Beautiful Italy.
The Italian drive helped my hubby with walking issues. The English guide told me history of the area and looked after us old folks. Altered the tour due to my hubby's walking issues

Best Tour in Italy. Rashi was amazing and Massimo was the best driver. We took several tours while in Italy (Almalfi Coast, Pompei, Rome, Vatican City, etc.) and collectively, my family decided this one was the best.

We truly loved our one day tour of Pisa and Florance. Our driver and guides were fabulous and we were able to see all the big attractions and highlights of both cities. Pisa was lovely but Florence is breathtaking. We only had time for one day but we will definitely be coming back to Florance again. Just know that it’s a really long day - leaving at 7am and returning around 8pm. We loved the drive though because you go all through Tuscany and really feel like you’ve seen it! I highly recommend this tour!!
