Plan for a very long day if you're departing from Rome. This island was gorgeous, the tour guide was friendly. Lunch was simple but oh so tasty. Bring extra drinking water and lots of sunscreen. Would definitely recommend, especially if you are looking for something unique to do on vacation!

Had a great day touring around the entire island. Food and drinks were great. The tour guide gave history and stopped at 5 great swimming / snorkelling locations. Would recommend!!

This day isn’t 5 hours. It’s more like 10-12 hours. Was a massive day of more travel than fun. Probably wouldn’t do again even though I had a great time the travelling to and from was too long.
Boat trip was unreal the history was amazing and the swimming was incredible. Our tour guide was so lovely and very friendly which is why I have 4 stars but the travelling was the downfall

Just to be precise: you’re right the tour is not just of 5 hours, that’s why is listed as a DAY TOUR. All the schedule is available on the booking page and in the memo-mail we always send before the tour, from there is possible to know in advance all the schedule and the transports needed to reach the island of Ponza.

The tour went around the entire island with several swimming stops at beautiful coves and with descriptions of the attractions and history. There were about 20 people in the group, so if you're looking for something more intimate this may not be the tour for you, but the boat was comfortable and the staff took their time to show the island.

This was a great tour of Ponza. You learned about the history of the island, saw beautiful sights, got to explore the water and various grottos, and lunch was included. Great for families, couples, singles, etc.

Viator gave us regular updates on changes to our trip and what to bring and where to meet. Can not rate Mara, our guide, highly enough. She made the experience for us. If I book this trip again, I will request one that has Mara as our guide. She definitely made the experience so enjoyable.

The stops and guides were amazing! The places to swim were beautiful!! However, please note the 5hrs timed does NOT include the ferry ride to the island which is approx 2hrs long.

The ferry ride is about 1.5 hours of travel each way. This is important information for future guests, and we’ll make sure to clarify this detail. The boat excursion was good but it is not a 5 hr boat trip it is an all day trip when you include traveling in. The staff were lovely and helpful but lunch was pasta which was not the best I have had.

Wow, what a spectacular experience! It was our first time visiting Ponza though we are seasoned experts on Italy and we were absolutely enchanted by this high-quality tour! Valerio was such a professional and super personable as well - the information he gave was extremely interesting and high value. We got glimpses into the history of the island, the peculiarities of the landscape, and other tidbits on local life. Valerio was great at answering questions as well, and if he didn't know an answer immediately, he took it upon himself to find out and report back. Clearly someone who loves his work and is extremely service-oriented! Valerio also swam with us across a grotto which was great because I'm not sure I would have had the confidence on my own.
The boat had a ladder that makes it easy to get in and out of the sea if you aren't much of a jumper. The lunch served on board was simple but heartwarming and generous in quantity! The tour ran on time and we had a nice amount of time at each spot for swimming. The sea was calm enough that day (no motion sickness) but come prepared if you have a propensity for nausea. Also don't forget a float device if you need one as the waters are very deep and we do not approach shores with this tour.
Before the tour, the communication with the booking office was above par - we got emails leading up to our excursion with clear information on where to meet and the option to communicate dietary restrictions for the lunch. A wonderful touch that not many tours have!
An impeccable experience we will cherish in our memory forever. Grazie Valerio and the EcoArt team!

Very precious and enjoyable trip. Ponza is gorgeous and we took beautiful pictures. Kimberly the tour guide was very friendly and helpful. My daughter had the greatest swimming time there and she enjoyed exploring those amazing grottos so much. We made cool friends on the boat as well. Thank you for an amazing experience!

When I booked our trip to Rome, I wanted to try to see the coast at least one day. A local suggested that we go to Ponza, we are so glad we did! This day was one of the highlight of our trip to Italy! I still cannot get over the beauty of this island!
Gina our guide was awesome! She really made this tour unforgettable for us. She was attentive to everyone, very knowledgable of the island and she made sure everyone had a great time. Very friendly!

Sono stata qualche giorno fa ed è stata un'esperienza bellissima, non solo si ha l'opportunità di fare il bagno nei posti più belli dell'isola, ma abbiamo nuotato in una grotta e anche nei pressi di un relitto. Il personale molto simpatico e la guida ha raccontato storie interessanti riguardo l'isola (sconsiglio solo di non sedersi vicino all'altoparlante sulla barca perché la voce può essere forte). In poche ore abbiamo visto praticamente tutte le cale di Ponza e anche di più, cosa che senza questo tour impiegherebbe molti giorni, ma allo stesso tempo abbiamo sempre avuto il tempo di fare il bagno con calma. Per queste ragioni credo che l'esperienza meriti 5 stelle, e spero di poterla rivivere un giorno.
