What are people saying about Rome

Exceptional Guide
We did this tour on Good Friday 2026 so it was a special day. We’ve been to the Vatican before about 11 years ago but on that trip we did the self-guided tour. This tour with Deborah was amazing - she has such a passion for her what she does and this was relayed in her knowledge and they way she told us about certain aspects - there is so much to see that it can be overwhelming so the best way to experience the Vatican and Sisten Chapel is to go with a great knowledgeable guide. Deborah clearly has gained a lot of respect from the guards too and we breezed through all gates and security points. We loved this tour and it will leave lasting memories - absolutely recommend this tour especially if you’re lucky enough to have Deborah as your guide. Carol and Roger

Great tour
Wonderful day trip to Pompeii and Mt Vesuvius. Rob was our guide and he is amazing! Smart, funny, thoughtful, and kept us entertained all day. Bus was very nice, long drive but we stopped to break it up. Pompeii guided tour, then a fantastic pizza lunch at a local restaurant halfway up Mt Vesuvius with an amazing view of the bay. Hiked up Mt Vesuvius to see the crater and views. Lemoncello stop and then back to Rome. Long day but definitely worth it!

HIstory, Limoncello and Drinks By the Water
This tour is a great day trip option from Rome. Pompeii and Sorrento are beautiful places to see that are quite accessible from Rome. The staff at the meetup point were friendly and helpful. The coach was clean and comfortable. Our driver Tony, was great, and the trip was safe. But the real star of this trip for us is our tour guide Michela. She was so friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. You can see she has a great love for people and for what she does. She even assisted in arranging lunch options for those who would like to avail of it. We also had a little emergency, and Michela facilitated it with such kindness and respect. With regards to Pompeii, it is a must-do for anyone who loves ancient history. Our in-house guide there, Claudia, was also wonderful and adjusted the content of the tour very well sice our group had young children. The drive along the coast was beautiful but fleeting. The quick stop at the Limoncello factory was really refreshing, seeing and smelling the factory was nice. The Limoncello tasting was also a great quick experience. The stop at Sorrento was very relaxing, you can choose what you want to do. You can visit the 2 streets for shopping, look at a few churches, or in our case, we joined Michela on a walk to the water, where we decided to descend the path down the Marameo Beach Club and had drinks by the water. We highly recommend this trip and we hope you can experience it with Michela.

Very interesting but not enough time to see exhibits- tour length needs to be increased
Our tour guide was Heidi and whilst she had good knowledge and told us lots of facts we felt quite rushed as the tour didnt allow time to stop to look at the exhibits along the way or even a toilet break until the end. At the end of the tour we would have been able to go back & look but there were few signs so we gave up. We would suggest adding an extra hour to the tour length would make it a much better experience

The Eternal City is filled with enough attractions to keep travelers busy sightseeing for days, weeks, or longer. But tear yourself away from Rome on a day trip, and you’ll uncover a world of sights beyond the capital. From the ruins of Pompeii and beaches of the Amalfi Coast, to Tivoli’s historic estates and medieval and Renaissance-era highlights of Tuscany, you’ll find plenty of worthwhile options to justify a day’s absence from Rome. In addition to choosing your day trip spot, you can pick the mode of transport that suits you best—train, private car, boat, or bike.
