Continue to the Sistine Chapel, home of two of the most important frescoes of the Italian Renaissance. Learn about Michelangelo’s "The Last Judgement" and "The Creation of Adam" from outside the chapel (no talking inside), then head on in to admire the frescoes in person.
Follow your guide into St. Peter’s Basilica to see "La Pietà," another Michelangelo masterpiece, and learn about Bernini’s bronze altar. You can stay inside St. Peter’s Basilica after your tour ends, or head outside to St. Peter’s Square, where your tour ends.

- St Peter’s Basilica & Sistine Chapel are subject to last-minute closures for religious ceremonies. When this occurs, we're happy to offer customers an extended tour of the Vatican Museums. While we endeavour to tell tour groups ahead of time if there are any planned disruptions to the Basilica's opening hours, this is not always possible and in these cases we are unable to provide refunds or discounts.
- On Wednesdays, due to the Papal Audiences, access to St Peter's Basilica is not possible in the morning.
- St Peter's Basilica is not accessible on the express tours options
- Please be advised that access to St. Peter's Basilica will not be guaranteed unless the names of all participants in the booking are provided in advance. Our tour guide was great! Really accommodating us showing us where the elevators were, With two young kids he really made it helpful and enjoyable. He was funny and kind and great at giving us the historical details. He gave us time to take the photos we wanted to take which was great as well!

That for 109 dollars you don’t get the full experience. The basilica was closed. Could have gotten the Vatican and chapel for 32. Was told we could go to the basilica on our own and pay.
Our guide Christian was very knowledgeable and a great guide. He gets a 10. I think he was embarrassed about the basilica unless it’s a scam and may be closed in the mornings often.
No one offered a refund or any compensation or a ticket for later ?

Our tour guide HiTom or also tom for short , the Egyptian guy, lol was very informative. Yes you can go into the Vatican and explore on your own but it’s so much better with a guide because they give you so much insight. I saw St. Peter’s crypt , it’s located underground, so cool. Tom also kept in shade when it was possible because that heat is brutal . There are bathrooms at the very beginning but after not so much until the end . It was truly beautiful to see everything especially the Sistine chapel ceiling by Michelangelo

Five Stars Plus ! We were not that fussed about doing this originally but so grateful we did. We booked a small group tour, best decision and lucked in with only 3 of us and our absolutely fantastic Guide who was an Archeologist and very passionate with incredible knowledge. Our guide (Etoree/Hector)was excellent and humorous as well. While the weather was hot he took time to find shade as he informed us of the various attributes during the tour. Crowd levels were heavy and he assisted us in getting through in a timely and professional manner.
My only misgiving was that he departed with others for the rest room when we entered the crowded Sistine Chapel. We missed the iconic Michelangelo panel that is so famous for the touching of fingers of Gods Creation of Adam. (We were expecting something larger) and with the crowds missed that panel.
Regardless this tour is highly recommended . Plus we purchased a print of the Sistine Chapel to confirm the existence of The Creation of Adam.
Very informative and he tried to give everyone in the group some attention and answered many questions.
