Everything was well planned out, from the train to meeting our guide in Naples, and taking the bus to Pompeii. Our guide was very knowledgeable. Pizza lunch was delicious. The bus tour of Naples was comfortable. The views were amazing. I would recommend this tour to everyone

This was the tour my husband and I were most looking forward to, and it definitely lived up to the hype.
We were a little nervous about the length of the day, but it ended up being very well paced. The Italian rail system is fairly straightforward to navigate, but it was still so helpful having guides available on the ground to keep everything running smoothly and stress-free.
Our tour guide was kind, professional, and really enhanced the experience. We left with a much deeper understanding of Pompeii than we would have gotten on our own.
By the time we reached Naples, we were a bit tired, but the built-in free time at the end was perfect as it gave everyone the flexibility to explore, grab food, or just relax.
Overall, a fantastic and well-organized experience that I would absolutely recommend!

This was a pretty good small group tour, the team was great! Excellent communication with the hosts and guide. Only thing I would recommend is that we have someone stay during our lunch it was kind of time consuming waiting at the restaurant for our food, felt like it took a really long time since our guide returned and we had not been served dessert yet and we needed to get to Naples next. The lunch included 3 different types of pizza, croquettes, limoncello, and complimentary water. The guide was very informative and pleasant, I took the Pompeii and Naples tour.

Lovely experience in Pompeii and Naples; learned a lot of the history and saw incredible views. Just warning, even though the tour stated that it starts at 8am, you ACTUALLY have to be there at 7:30am ( it is not a suggestion). Since you are going to get on a train , the train actually leaves at 8am. So do not make the mistake I made at arriving at 7:56am because it was very stressful.

Fantastic tour!! Highly recommend this tour. From the time we walked into the train station in Rome everything was taken care of. Our tour guide, Chiara, was so knowledgeable and really brought the history alive. The pizza lunch was delicious (and was so happy they were able to accommodate my husband with a gluten free meal). I highly recommend this tour.

We had a wonderful tour of Pompeii with our smart and knowledgeable guide, a native of Naples. Marina would be our go-to any time. Our meal after was top-knotch, with tastes of local cuisine and pizza unlike any we've had. Even with rainy weather, we still enjoyed a pleasant tour of Naples. We highly recommend this tour!

This is a full-day tour that includes several hours in Pompeii, lunch at a nearby restaurant, a bus tour through downtown Naples and then free time to explore the city before the tour ended. Our tour guide, Chiara, was delightful . She was enthusiastic about Naples as her home and excited to share lots of interesting facts and history of Naples with us. Her tour of Pompeii was amazing- we walked for several hours, and saw so many parts of this historic city. Chiara was thorough, answered all of our questions, and kept the group together and moving forward. It was amazing to see how much they have excavated and restored - and how much remains to be done. Though the circumstances of the volcanic eruption were tragic, there was also so much to learn about how life was lived in Pompeii before this happened. Remarkably, so much of the way we engineer and design in present day was already being done "way back then". Our lunch was excellent - pizza, pasta, red wine, and dessert! Our time in Naples came at the end , when we did a bus tour along the coast (stopped for pictures) and then were set free to explore the city for a while. There were a LOT of people milling about, since it was Christmas week, but the city did not feel overly crowded. Very friendly people everywhere. The train from Rome to Naples and back was comfortable and on time. I would recommend this tour to anyone who is looking for a great day trip from Rome!

Overall, the tour had many strengths, particularly the knowledgeable guides and seamless transfers. The train transfers were easy, and the guide at the station was helpful. Our guide who led the Pompeii tour, was excellent; she was very knowledgeable and skilled at communicating information effectively to a diverse group with differing levels of interest.
There were, however, some areas for improvement. The dining experience in Naples felt rushed, and the food quality was average. We also felt the tour could be enhanced by reconsidering the itinerary in Naples. As a stop, we found there wasn't much to see, and the general atmosphere was very dirty, depressing and made us feel quite unsafe. Focusing the tour's time and resources on the Pompeii experience, or exploring a different stop, might improve the overall value for future travelers.

Thank you for your feedback. We would like to note that this is a day trip, and therefore the time allocated for lunch is necessarily limited in order to fit all included activities and ensure a timely return.
Naples is included as part of the itinerary to provide an overview of the city alongside the Pompeii visit. However, we understand that not every destination appeals equally to all travelers. For this reason, we do offer alternative tour options, including experiences without a Naples stop and others with extended time in Pompeii.

The server at the pizzeria put out tip bowls, and several in the party did not have cash (Euros).
Go to the restroom prior to leaving Pompeii for Naples.

Unique experience and it exceeds our expectations especially Marina, our guide in Pompeii and Naples was fantastic and she is breathing the ancient sites, culture and her explanation was really taking us to back in Pompeii time. Lunch was fantastic and felt treated very well with appetizers, 3 different type of pizzas, wine, and desert was fantastic. I certainly recommend my friends and family to this.

This is truly a 12 hour day. Wear comfortable shoes and be prepared to be amazed. We enjoyed every minute of this tour even with the rain. We had plenty of time with the ruins. They are amazing. Lunch was sit down and they were ready for us with an entire pizza tasting menu complete with dessert and drinks. Wine and beer were included. We had free time in Naples to shop and explore after our bus tour. It was well worth the day and we felt like we saw a lot more of the area than just what was on the itinerary. Definitely recommend.

This was an excellent tour! Stress free and seamless meeting points and comms. We loved riding the high speed train. The restaurant for lunch was perfect and our tour guide Carla was awesome!! She knew so much about our tour stops and we really enjoyed listening to her explanations and stories. If you have time for an easy day trip from Rome I highly recommend!!! Pompeii will not disappoint. :)

We went on this day trip with our kids age 7 and 9. The guides were very organized and made our day smooth. Once we caught the train to Naples we spent a few hours as a group exploring the sights of Pompeii and then had a delicious pizza lunch. After that we saw some of the main sights of Naples by bus and had free time to walk around as well before returning to Rome. It was a perfect way to get a taste of the area without worrying about the logistics.

This was a fun experience. Pompeii is a MUST. Serena was absolutely amazing. Very knowledgeable and showed us the important spots with lots of history. Pizza lunch was good.
Naples was ok. It was great to see but made for a very long day. I do think this tour could be shorter.

For travelers who want to learn the rich history of Pompeii without the stress of navigating the travel, I highly recommend this tour. We were very lucky and had a small tour group of 4, allowing our exceptional tour guide, Paola, to give us an intimate experience that was tailored to our wishes. She was clearly knowledgeable and was passionate about her work. Afterward, we were treated to lunch and a small tour of Naples. To be honest, the pizza was not the best but the service was great nonetheless. We stopped to take scenic pictures and were happy with the opportunity to shop around!

This tour was well worth the time and money. The tour guide Federica was very knowledgeable about Naples and Pompeii. The scenery of the coast of Naples is beautiful. The Pompei part of the trip was so informative. They take you to where they are still currently excavating the site. Best part of the trip besides the landscape of Naples.
