A dress code is required to enter places of worship and selected museums. No shorts or sleeveless tops allowed. Knees and shoulders MUST be covered for both men and women. You may risk refused entry if you fail to comply with these dress requirements.

Check-in is 15 minutes prior to the booked start time. Tickets are time sensitive and we cannot accomodate late arrivals.
Important: St. Peter's Basilica is not included in all tour options. If you wish to visit the Basilica as part of your experience, please ensure you select a tour where it is explicitly listed as included.
Guests with a certified disability of over 75% are entitled to free entrance to the Vatican and do not require a ticket. For guests who are not self-sufficient, free entry is extended to a companion.
Please include all names as they appear on your passports when booking. Tickets are non-transferable and if the names on your booking do not match your ID you may be denied access and will not be due a refund. Any name changes must be communicated at least 72 hours in advance.
Please bring official ID with you (or a photo/photocopy).
Important: The ‘Basilica Only’ option it does NOT include access to the Vatican Museums.
Important: From January 12 to March 31, 2026, conservation work will be carried out on Michelangelo’s Last Judgment (Giudizio Universale). The Sistine Chapel will remain open to visitors; however, the fresco will be temporarily not visible due to scaffolding. We thank you for your understanding during this important preservation project.

I really enjoyed this tour. The Vatican Museums in particular could be overwhelming but our tour guide, Sara, was very knowledgeable and pointed out the not to be missed highlights while providing substantial information about them.

Wonderful Tour and Great Guide

Our tour of the Vatican was wonderful! Loreley was a great guide: friendly, informed, and informative. She was really effective in moving us through the crowds and making sure we saw everything we came to see, and she clearly enjoyed sharing her knowledge. In the Sistine Chapel, we had a great private conversation about the frescos and about what it must have been like for Michelangelo to paint them. It was nice to be sharing ideas with someone who knew the Chapel so well. We were especially pleased that the tour left us to explore St. Peter's Basilica on our own with no time limitation. We probably spent two additional hours exploring this extraordinary church. EcoArt was great to do business with. They were contact with us throughout the process of planning the tour and meeting Loreley. They let us know early on that the Last Judgement fresco was being restored and we couldn't see it, so there was no surprise when we got to the Chapel. They checked in with us just before the tour to ensure we know when and where to meet. They were also easy to communicate with when we were worried they we would be late for the start of the tour (there was a downpour that morning) and kept in communication. We would be happy to tour with EcoArt and Loreley again.

Be careful of Wednesdays. We thought we were also booked for the tour of St Peter’s but this wasn’t it. Finding this out at the beginning definitely got us off on the wrong foot. It was not very clear in the description. I have done this tour with another company a couple years ago and this was not quite as good. It’s definitely worth seeing these three places via a tour and you do need 3 hours to give it justice. These places are a treasure of history to experience without a doubt.

Our service includes a guided tour of the Vatican Museums, followed by access to St. Peter’s Basilica, without a guided visit inside the Basilica. Access to the Basilica is possible through the direct passage after the Sistine Chapel, which is subject to specific regulations. This passage is available only between 8:00 AM and 1:00 PM with us and is not accessible on Wednesdays due to the Papal Audience. It's written that you have a audio guide, but you only have an app, and app is poor. Also, access to Basilica of St Peter is not provided, you don't skip the line. So, basiicly, you only have skip the line servise to Vatican museum and Sistime chapel , without guidelines.

The agency didn't honor our tour and mislead us. There were others in the group that had the same experience left They only took us to St. Peter's Basilica. They said the museums and Sistine Chapel weren't included. Our reservations said all 3 were included. You can visit the Basilica without paying or a guide. I'm very disappointed with Viator we will not recommend them.

Thank goodness for this skip tge line tout, as the lines to get in were extremely long. In addition, our amazing guide (Maria Laura) shared so much amazing history and pointed out the primary pieces of importance. It is truly helpful beyond measure to have someone guiding you through the Vatican museum who knows how to maneuver through the crowds and galleries. Although the Sistine Chaoel was closed due to the King of England's visit and special service with the Pope, we still felt like it was a very valuable tour.

Very knowledgeable guide for Vatican Museum and Sistine Chapel

Our guide was very knowledgeable regarding the huge range of sculpture, painting, frescoes etc in display in the Vatican Museum. She kept us moving along which is good as there’s a lot of galleries to cover. The tour company said we should be at the meeting site no later than 0915, but then did not arrive themselves until almost 0920 and did not check us in immediately. At 0930 (advertised start time) we were still looking for the place to join the line to get through security. The organizers need to show up earlier, and check people in immediately they arrive, to ensure the tour starts at advertised time.

You were checked in at 9:19 AM. The tour began at 9:30 AM, as advertised. At that time, the group proceeded upstairs to enter the Museums. Please note that the tour officially starts at the meeting point — not inside the Museums — and the time spent waiting to enter and passing the security check is included as part of the guided experience. The tour therefore started exactly on schedule. The check-in process cannot be completed instantly, as the formation of the group depends on all guests arriving on time, which in practice may vary slightly. The tour guide was excellent and everything related to Eco was fine. That said, it's a mass of people that are pretty much being shoved through the museum and Sistine Chapel. Absolutely no time to see anything. St Peter's Basilica is much better but there is still a wait...with 40 other "skip the line" groups. Had it not been for Rosa our guide doing her best, the museum would have been a total waste of time.

We had a great time with EcoArt! They were on time and helpful with instructions. It was easy to find them, and we started the tour on time. It was super nice to be able to skip the line into the Vatican Museums and the Basilica, as the lines to enter on your own for both were extremely long and crowded. Great Artwork Over-Loved by Hordes

Stefano is a knowledgeable and interesting tour guide. He provided context to all the museum displays. The ceiling, walls and floors of the museum are also great works of art. Caveat: There are so many people in the Vatican museum that it doesn’t matter whether you are in a large or small tour group. You will be mashed together into a single giant organism shuffling down the hallways in overheated conditions. The Sistine Chapel a small space filled with immobile humanity. Not recommended for anyone mildly claustrophobic. Amazing ceiling, of course.

Well organised trip , guide Remi was friendly and very knowledgable . He spoke very good English and he tried to go as slowly as the crowds allowed through the museums and then allowed us 15 minutes to look at the Sistine chapel by ourselves, having already explained all about the amazing paintings . He also took us through the quick access to the Basilica even though this was not included in our trip. Although he couldn’t come in with us he explained what to make sure we didn’t miss. This trip was the highlight of our stay in Rome.

Riecardo was fantastic, such a enthusiastic tour guide, you can see how much he loves his job and it made the tour that much more enjoyable. I would highly recommend this tour. The only issue that we had was the headphones were a bit unreliable, we did not always hear what he was saying
