- Get crucial context on the daily life, entertainment, and religious rites of Ancient Rome

The guide was interesting and kept our attention. The tour required you to be on your feet for 3 hours but there was a bathroom break half way round.
Our tour was very informative but very intense, and seemed political. Would like information with out all the political and personal over tones
Would recommend the tour with a different guide
You're just buying access to the Colosseum, Forum & Palatine with this tour. What you get along with your tickets is a bar code to download an app on your phone that gives you artifact info. There is no skipping the line, no physical earphones/audio guide or added value by buying this tour package.
Great experience. Easy to find starting location, small walking group and a superb guide, she had so much passion and enthusiasm for Rome. It was amazing listening to her tell all of the stories and history surrounding the city.
Loved all the rich history given by our tour guide, Valerino! The headsets were great and the sites we very impressive.
It was a great tour. If you love history, you will thoroughly enjoy this experience. Our guide, George was extremely knowledgeable and friendly, and was also very funny which made for an entertaining few hrs. He was very considerate and made sure everyone was comfortable. I will say the tour itself was quite long and taxing however, especially in the heat. I would highly recommend bringing a water bottle and possibly even a snack as there is really nothing to buy other than a vending machine on the Palatine Hill (which is towards the end of the tour). There is really not much seating so you will be on your feet for most of the tour. Overall, it was a good experience and you definitely skip the long queues.
Our tour only lasted two hours even though it was scheduled for three and we are not sure why. Our guide Carlo was lovely but it was very difficult to understand his English. There was a lot of talk about the limestone and how the spectators were seated, but there was nothing about the history, power structure, etc. during the tour and we would have appreciated much more of that type of information. There was also not a lot of time to pause and take photos, etc.
Our guide Lucia was the best, very knowledgeable, went at a slow pace for everyone to keep up, offered bathroom and water breaks and she was very funny.
What makes or breaks these tours is always the guide. We were lucky to have Elisabetta to lead us through our journey. She perfectly blended history and humor to make our tour super enjoyable. Highly recommend!!
the "self guided" tour is worthless. it is basically an entry fee. Do a guided tour, with a REAL person for a guide. The description is misleading, although legally correct. WE paid for a guided tour. What we received was SELF guided. It cannot be heard in a crowd, and its hard to follow. When we discovered that it was SELF, they would not let us upgrade
We had a “delayed” entry ticket or what the staff said “Reverse entry” into the coliseum but the explanation wasn’t clear what was recommended we do until our 530 entry when it was originally scheduled for 4 start time. We were told to try Palatine Hill or the Forum but 2 different staff members gave different locations to enter. Altogether, we were only able to do the Forum before the Coliseum and totally missing the palatine hill as it was closing. There was only a 30 minute window to have entry access into the coliseum, therefore, we couldn’t just go ahead and go through palatine hill before entering the coliseum. I would recommend an in person guide for the coliseum at a minimum if this is a true area of interest.
This tour was an absolute waste of time and money. The tourguide was talking more about the gladiator movie and selfie spots than the colosseum. It was hard to understand what she was saying and the groups were way too big. I was very disappointed and left the group after 15 mins. No reply from the operator.
Go there early, download an Audioguide and explore this beautiful piece of history on your own. The entrance ticket is just 18€ per person and you can buy it online. We paid 133€ (for two) for this tour and we feel scammed.
This tour started across the street at the tour office so we ubered there from our hotel. Lots of people mulling around but they were very clear and organized us in groups. Gave out headsets. The guide laura introduced herself and off we went. She was VERY knowledgeable and clear with many details and stories. Also had a book of pictures as she explained each site. Her passion of history and her education were clear. It was the day of the huge thunder lighting rain storm. So when the skies opened she found us a place to get cover and still continued with information and stories. She was very careful to keep the group together in the crowds of tourists. These tours can be difficult on foot with cobble stones and steep stairs so consider that before booking if you have children or mobility issues. Thank you laura for giving us a memorable day! From the lady who lost her husband (he's a runner haha)
Our tour operator was very informative and used a drawings to bring the tour to life. At times it was difficult to hear what he was saying. Using whispers would have been helpful.
The tour was amazing and very informative. Besides getting rained on the entire tour the experience was amazing and would book it again
Very friendly staff, easy to find location and conveniently located right next to the Colosseum. Our tour guide had good energy and did a great job walking us through everything.
Good , ear peace, didn’t work very well was going in and out, guide worked on fixing it , worked for awhile , better , then static, periodically. Guide was a good guide, sometimes hard to understand because of accent, but other than that, it was very knowledgeable and was worth having.
Very good tour lots of information
Was too hot for me personally I couldn’t finish the tour my partner was able to though
All in all really good
Nothing wrong with this tour at all, but if you don't normally like/do guided tours then you probably shouldn't do this one. I got talked into thinking that you shouldn't do this visit without a guide but that's not right - it's perfectly possible, there are lots of good signs and audio guides and you'll have more time to look at things. The tour was good and Linda was very nice, but it's quite rushed and you obviously don't get to choose what interests you most.
The tour was wonderful. We got to see historic sites and learned so much from the guide. I would definitely recommend this tour!
Brilliant tour with a wonderful guide. Lots of opportunities for photos and learning a bit more about the areas. Worth it for the expedited entry alone.
Alassandro was excellent as a guide. Very knowledgeable, friendly and funny. Answered all questions and was passionate about sharing his knowledge. He made the tour excellent!
Great tour with nothing left to see. Absolutely recommend to anyone looking for a complete tour with great information.
Good organisation. Picked up at shop and walked into main venue. Tour guide was decent. Not much else to say.
Really good informative tour. Mamood our tour guide was really great. We didn’t book the family tour but we didn’t need to as Mamood was so good with including the children!
We had a great time with Hisam as our guide! He’s a great storyteller, it really helps you appreciate the significance of everything you see throughout the tour. He also did a great job of mixing in some light humor to help distract you from the heat inside the Vatican :)
Amazing experience and Serena was a wonderful tour guide! Myself and my boyfriend absolutely loved it!
It was well worth the money . Our guide was so knowledgeable . It wasn’t too difficult to walk through the various stages.
Regardless on when you go it will be very crowded. So glad we had a tour guide. He was very informative and explained every area thoroughly. He was an archeologist and knew so much about the history of the colosseum.

You have to bring ID to enter the Colleseum. Ensure when you buy your ticket that you enter exactly what shows on your ID. Don’t buy your ticket and put a nick name such as Al and your ID shows Alex. You might not be able to get in.
