Elaine was very informative at each step and very knowledgeable; she provided an illustrated handout of the Sistine chapel and took the time to sit us down and explain each panel. Very impressive!

Maria was a fabulously knowledgeable tour guide. She had incredible depth of understanding of the Roman history on the Colosseum, Roman Forum and Palantine Hill. What was especially beneficial for us was the artistic impressions she had showing how the buildings originally stood look like so we could see a virtual real life comparison.

Patrick was amazing. One...

Patrick was amazing. One thing to know about visiting St Peters Basillica is there’s absolutely no way to skip the line because security is required whether you’re with a tour or doing it solo. So plan to wait at least 30 to 60 minutes in the security line in St Peter Square. However, I highly recommend this tour, not only for what you will learn inside the basilica, but also what you will learn while waiting in line in St Peter Square. I’m not sure how this is possible, but Patrick made the wait in the security line as interesting as the tour inside the basilica itself. Patrick was so knowledgeable and engaging. We learned so much about the history of the area, the Vatican, and the Popes. The line is inevitable, but the experience with Patrick while waiting in line actually enhanced tour.

While our original “underground” tour of the Coliseum was cancelled, our alternative tour was led by a wonderful guide (Tania). She did a great job leading us through the Coliseum, Roman Forum & Palatine Hill all while providing a great explanation of their history, and giving our group time enough time to look around & take pictures.

Friendly staff and detailed instructions

We arrived at the meeting point at our designated time, the company running this were very friendly (even gave us cold water bottles as it was very hot) and gave us detailed instructions as to where to go and how to review the audio guide in the app. Remember to bring ear buds so you can listen to the tour as it is self guided audio from your phone, I liked this because you can listen to it at your own pace.

Beautiful but that was a LOT of stairs!

The Vatican was amazing. St. Peter’s Basilica is truly a marvel, GO EARLY! It gets absolutely mobbed! This tour was great, I am so upset I cannot remember my guides name because he was so good! Very kind and knowledgeable. My one thing is if you are going to the top of the dome that stair climb is BRUTAL. Do not do that if you have any heart condition.
