- Please make sure that the names provided EXACTLY MATCH THE NAMES on the passports or ID cards of all participants (children included), otherwise entry to the Colosseum will be denied. A valid ID is required for everyone to enter. Nicknames, missing names, or incorrect first or last names are not accepted by Colosseum guards. Feel free to contact us if you need any assistance with this.
- For minors, the age must be 17 or younger on the day of the activity
- The entrance tickets to the Colosseum cannot be changed or refunded
- Each traveler must show a valid ID matching the booking name for entry. Without ID, entry is not guaranteed
- Please show up at least 15 minutes before the tour to do the check in
- Meeting time is subject to change; if this occurs, you will receive a call or message from the activity provider. Please provide your correct phone number and country code
- Late arrivals will not be refunded
- In July and August due to the heat the duration of the visit is 2 hours
- All visitors must pass through a metal detector to enter the Colosseum. No exceptions
- Not Allowed: Big backpacks, pets, weapons, sharp items, large bags, alcohol, drugs, sprays, glass.

- If you booked the audio guide option, please download the app in advance using Wi-Fi. Once downloaded, it works offline. Earphones are not provided – please bring your own, compatible with your smartphones. Note that older phones may not support the app properly. For bookings after 4:00 PM, you may not have enough time to visit the Roman Forum and Palatine Hill. You can either arrive earlier or visit the Roman Forum the next day.
- If you choose the semi-private option, please note that our tours are designed for up to 7 guests per guide to ensure a personal and immersive experience. Occasionally, to keep families or friends together, the group size may be slightly larger. In other cases, the group may have fewer than 7 participants. This flexibility helps us provide the best possible experience for everyone.

We enjoyed our guide. She was very knowledgeable and shared a lot of great information. However we were very disappointed that we did not get to go to Palantine Hill. It should have been part of the tour but the guild said we didn't have enough time. Not sure how we didn't have enough time when the tour should have been two and a half hours and we were done in 1 hour and 45 minutes.

This tour was long. Our guide was very knowledgeable, but it was dragged out too long. The tour could easily be cut in half. We got bored, due to the pace. I’m coming back this fall but won’t be doing this tour. Not worth the time or money.

What a fantastic tour! We opted for the Roman Forum, Palatine Hill and Colloseum Arena tour and so worth it. Our guide, Diego, was excellent and we received so much information over 3 hours. It was so insightful and we could never have done this justice on our own. We debated over the price but would highly recommend and it was good value for the money.

Really informative and enjoyable tour.
Skipping the lines is invaluable unless you want to queue for 3hours.
Everyone knows the collaseum but the tour around the Forum was very interesting also.
Highly recommend you book this tour and the numbers were restricted to 15 people and it felt more intimate and the tour guide was excellent also

Worst organisation ever. Don’t book with this company!!!!!
We were 15 minutes late because of traffic works and we cannot reach the meeting point on time. The guide refused to help us and leave us like 3 idiots behind. We asked to join the group after for the second activity but they don’t even respond our text message and phone calls. They just take the money and don’t even matter were we where. Very sad.

Paola was an exceptional tour guide with a wealth of knowledge and a fantastic attitude. Paola went at a pace that was manageable for all ages while making sure every pause a guest might need was turned into a knowledgeable moment for all of us! Paola was extremely friendly, happily answered all of our questions, and taught us more than we imagined was possible in a tour of this length. I would definitely book this again if I were to come back, and I recommend that you do the same! If all of their guides are like Paola I promise you won’t be sorry and that it was well worth the money.

The meeting point was a little unclear. The tour guide was AWESOME! I learned so much from her. She was intelligent and spoke great English. She explained in advance the logistics of the tour and was very patient with everyone especially the elderly. I learned so much!

The time you book is only the time to meet the ticket broker. Our timed entry to the colosseum was two hours and 15 minutes later. This was not explained when we looked at booking nor was it explained after we booked. We only learned of the later entry time when we picked up the tickets. There was no flexibility at all regarding entry time. As a result we could not enter the colosseum as we had to be back at the bus to go back to our ship. We had given ourselves plenty of time to see everything including the Forum and Palatine Hill if we could have entered the colosseum at the time we booked. This was an instance of very poor communication on both Viator's and the tour operators Vivicos Travel and Italy Wonders.

We had an excellent tour of the Colosseum , the Forum and Palatine Hill. The booking was easy, great communication about vouchers, tickets and meeting points. Massimo the guide was fantastic with excellent knowledge and a lovely manner and brought the history of the places to life. Would definitely recommend this experience to anyone.

Our guide, Philippe, was very knowledgeable about Roman history, but the only drawback was the audio quality of his microphone. The tour itself was very well organized, but we would have liked to re-enter the Colosseum at our leisure to further explore it.

2.5 hrs goes fast! What an enjoyable tour. I would recommend it for all ages, as it was not physically demanding, yet plentiful in the history as well as sights! (Definitely wear comfortable non skid shoes, as you will be trekking on stone and sand.)

Make sure you read the “fine print”. We booked a 3:30 tour, based on other tours we were doing that day. Within an hour of booking the 3:30 tour, I got a text saying that our tour had been moved to 2:30. I texted back saying that I wanted to cancel the booking, as we wouldn’t be finished with our morning excursion in time. They absolutely refused to cancel. We had to cut our morning excursion short to make this tour, or we would have lost all the money we had paid. The tour itself was good, just didn’t appreciate being jerked around like that.

The tour was so expensive, over $400, and I was expecting much more. When first checking in, the first interaction is a guy directing people with a rude tone of voice and short temper.
The tour guide talked throughout the tour, but we couldn’t hear her and she needs to put the microphone closer to her mouth. The tour guide did not allow people to ask questions and worst was that she didn’t stop in key places to allow the participants to take pictures. My wife annd I were so disappointed and upset, and also heard comments from the other participants. Overall experience was horrible and a waste of time and money.

Our guide was so knowledgeable. She brought pictures to help us see what it looked like in the past which was really helpful. I brought my 9 year old son, and she made sure he could see and also incorporated him in some of her examples. I was really happy to see that type of engagement. I can tell she’s passionate about what she does. She made Roman history come to life. The tour was amazing but having our guide really made it more exciting.

Walking tour through the Colosseum (upper levels, ground, and arena) + Roman Forum + Palatine Hill. Our tour was led by Tanya who was the basis of the 5-stars: energetic and friendly, considerate to all attendees, informative, and with a wonderful, animated sense of humour. Her presence turned an interesting tour of the monuments into an enchanting occasion. Compared with other monument tours we did during our holiday, we felt this was the best experience we had, and made our visit to Rome worthwhile.

I had a CONFIRMED tour cancelled the night before for “no availability”!!!! Do NOT use! We ended up walking right up to the ticket booth and bought tickets on our own for $100 less and had no issues with long lines.
