- Knees and shoulders must be covered for both men and women to enter the Sistine Chapel.
- Please be aware that large bags/backpacks/suitcases are not permitted in the monument/ attraction.
- Children must be accompanied by an adult.
- Due to uneven surfaces, this tour is not suitable for those with walking disabilities or using a wheelchair. Please be aware that large oversized bags/backpacks/suitcases are not permitted in the monument/ attraction.
- It is not possible to contact guides when they are inside the Vatican museums, it is the clients responsibility to stay with the guided tour group, if you lose your guide inside the Vatican, there is nothing we can do in this case.
- St. Peter's Basilica is subject to last minute closures for religous events, and the Papal audience on some Wednesday and Saturday mornings. In the event that it is closed if you have selected the option to visit St. Peter's Basilica you will have an extended tour of the Vatican museums. The Basilica is free to enter and we do not have any control in the event of these closures it is not possible to provide a refund under these circumstances.

Wasn’t sure what to expect but the whole tour and experience was amazing! Christina was the best! She made sure we saw all the highlights and kept us moving efficiently to make sure we didn’t miss a thing. Definitely recommend this experience and if you’re looking for the English tour hopefully you get Christina! It was nice to have a Georgia girl make you feel right at home here in Rome.

We booked this tour as a family of 3 on our very first trip to Italy and Rome. Not knowing how the lines would be to enter the Vatican, Sistine Chapel
And St. Peter’s basilica we decided to go this route. And we were so very happy we did! Not only were the lines long beyond imagination . Maggie from Maya Tour was superb! She was punctual, insightful and knowledgeable about everything we saw and very calm (we lost another person while on tour ) and she was so very kind and reassuring to the family of the person who got separated from our group. Deny was our tour guide for the Vatican. She has such a wonderful background in art and art history that she made our tour incredible! All of her knowledge and passion spills out into her stories. We learned so much and had such an incredible time. She was a true gift. My mom is in a wheelchair and she guided us through with ease! The Sistine chapel was even better because she told us what to look for and why beg fore we got there. I highly recommend her. We were extremely happy.

This was the last tour of our trip and by far the best!!! Our guide,Deny Martines, was full of stories and information that gave us an understanding of the history. Maggie was a wonderful guide helping us navigate an insanely crowded experience and pointing out key details. I think there were about 14 people on our group and she did a good job keeping kids of various ages engaged and not losing anyone along the way.
If you are an enthusiast for details or scholarly level of information, this tour may not be as satisfying but for our family it was perfect. Seeing the crowds waiting in massive lines at various stages along the tour, I was very pleased we booked with this operator. I was intimidated by all the options when looking at Vatican website and can’t imagine we would have enjoyed the visit if we had tried to navigate independently.

Maggie was a phenomenal guide. Very patient, especially with the kids. Her knowledge of the place is very thorough and she seems to be doing this for the last 15 years. Would highly recommend to have her as a guide on this tour.
The tour itself was very well organised. Visit their office 10 mins before the start. Everyone is given stickers, their tickets and an audio device which was super useful in hearing everything the guide was explaining.
Inspite of sticking to the key areas, it still took 2.5-3hrs. If one wants to explore everything, one may need 7-8hrs at least.
Piece of advise: Dont carry anything that needs to be checked in at the entry of the museum. Requires a long walk and an extra half hour or so to collect it post the Basilica visit.

Lots of information provided, with no need to ask questions. However, the tour guide did welcome questions.
The guide spoke several languages and was very inclusive.

The guide Debra was knowledgeable. However, she was rude to other guides and created an atmosphere that was stressful. Our group was rushed through the museum with Debra walking so fast she lost most of the group. She also went on a tangent about her film making for about 10 minutes of the tour. Overall not a good experience because of the guide.
