We are on a mother/daughter trip to Italy and seeing Pompeii was at the top of our list. This tour is THE way to go. Our tour guide Sam was very knowledgeable and personable-we learned a lot and had a great time! It is a long day, but really worth it. Paolo (Pompeii-specific tour guide) was also fantastic. We got there before the crowds and managed to see so much in 2 hours! The Amalfi coast was out-of-this-world beautiful! Highly recommend this tour!!

Had the best time with Nariman and driver Artur. Weather was a bit off but we enjoyed the commentary, the visit to Pompeii and the Amalfi coast. They made it seem easy for a long day of travel, I appreciated their efforts and enthusiasm.

I would highly recommend this tour and our tour guide Neriman and driver Emanuele. Neriman was kind, considerate, and very mindful of the importance of creating a great experience for us. Emanuale was a skillful driver on very narrow and steep roads through the Almafi Coastline. We very much enjoyed our tour at Pompeii. It is beautiful and exceeded our expectations. The drive on Almafi Coast was incredible and the views stunning. Our lunch was delicious and we enjoyed shopping in the main square. The highlight was Neriman our tour guide. He was so sweet, kind, and knowledgeable. I have another trip to Rome scheduled for next year and will be requesting him for a tour again! You cannot go wrong with this tour and Neriman!

Pompeii was the highlight of the trip. Our guide Romolo brought the ancient city to life. Romolo was top-notched! The drive along the Amalfi coast was pretty but I wished that our guide Sam would have provided more information about the area.

Good tour but a very long day

The Pompeii tour was excellent. The rest of the tour was less impressive with a stop for shopping and a long drive back to Rome. The full day tour is long and our tour guide was new to the role and didn't share much information about Amalfi, etc.

A 10 star tour!

AN AMAZING DAY! Our guide Nariman, along with driver Fabio, met us at the hotel promptly at 6:45 a.m. The “bad news” was that the other tour participants had cancelled and we would have Nariman and Fabio all to ourselves for the day!! After a quick breakfast stop on the autostrada (you need to experience Italian Autogrill … fresh sandwiches, croissants and excellent coffee) we were off to Pompeii. On the way, Nariman shared history, local points of interest and even personal stories that were educational, interesting and made great conversation. In Pompeii Scavi we met Romolo, our native Pompeiian archeological guide. Romolo spent just over 2 hours with us sharing the wonders that have been unearthed in Pompeii as well as stories of what life was like in Pompeii prior to the devastating eruption of Mt. Vesuvius in 79 A.D. Romolo is an excellent guide full of excitement with a desire to share the culture and history of his hometown. Definitely ask for Romolo! Then we’re back in the van with Nariman and Fabio. Next stop Positano! But not before learning about the Campagna region’s history with a gladiator school and the primary jobs of the people of the region. Once in Positano, Nariman introduced us to shopkeepers and friends as we walked the streets to a beachfront restaurant, Boca di Bucca, for a delicious lunch (spaghetti alla vongole was AWESOME) with a special birthday surprise at the end. We had free time to explore on our own before meeting Nariman again for a limoncello tasting. Now, we live our limoncello, but the limoncello crema made with buffalo milk was our favorite! And back in the van for a drive along the Amalfi coast with plenty of stops along the way for photos and beautiful vistas. By yhe way, Nariman is also and excellent photographer. One more stop in Maiori for a coffee and then arrividerci Amalfi as we drive through the final town of Salerno. Back to the autostrada and Rome! It was an almost 15 hour day that felt like a lot less thanks to our wonderful guide Nariman and most excellent driver Fabio. They really made us feel like family. We give the tour 10 STARS - that’s 5 each for Nariman and Fabio!! ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️

This Amalfi. Ooast/Pompei tour is a must if you’re coming to Rome. Amalfi Coast is so beautiful, we toured the entire coast. It was so convenient to be picked up and dropped off at my hotel. Antonieta and Roberto #2 became our second family away from home. We appreciate the personal and excellent service they provided. Antonieta brought us to a nice restaurant right on the Amalfi beach with amazing and fresh seafood, we didn’t have to wait in line to be seated, she knew almost everyone on the coast. She gave us enough time to eat, spend time on the beach, shop and have limoncello tasting, we didn’t feel rushed. Our wonderful driver, Roberto, was safe and very professional. We requested him for our next Welcome Italy tour to Florence and Pisa this week. Thank you Antonieta and Roberto.

On time pick up and comfortable vehicle. Driver and tour guide were great. Safe driving and guide explained areas of town nicely. The tour guide at Pompeii, Paolo, was incredible. He was very knowledgeable about the history and archeological aspects. Drive to Amalfi coast is very windy and if you are sensitive to car sickness be warned. Positano was very nice and views are spectacular. Very pleased we did this day trip while in Rome. Recommended

First of all, we really enjoyed the company and guidance of Alessandro and Marti, who made the whole trip smooth and pleasant. The views of the coastline and the drive along the sea were absolutely unforgettable. We started in Pompeii, where a local guide, Enzo, was waiting for us. He shared the history of the place and adjusted the visit to our own pace. My mom was initially skeptical about visiting such a location (knowing how many lives were lost there), but Enzo completely changed her impression. She listened with interest and truly enjoyed the tour! Pompeii is definitely a must-see location — the history, the landscapes, and the fact that you can then continue to build a wonderful route along the coast make it an essential stop. Next, we headed to Positano — an incredible town. We had a few hours of free time there along with lunch. Marti had recommended a restaurant beforehand and even reserved a table for us. The place was right near the beach, the seafood was excellent, and despite being fully booked, the service was impressively fast. My mom even received a sweet little gift from the waiter, which was such a lovely touch. There are also great shops in Positano where you can find quality souvenirs and limoncello. We also spent some time in another coastal town, enjoyed a walk by the sea, and then made our way back. The guys were very attentive throughout the whole journey, and we even had great music along the way. Thank you so much, Alessandro and Marti! I highly recommend this tour.

One of the best tours we’ve ever done! Rishi, our guide and Massi, our driver did an absolutely amazing job on this very full day tour. The tour of Pompeii was unbelievable- we saw and learned a lot. Lunch on the beach in Positano at a lovely restaurant was perfect. The drive through the Amalfi coast was breathtaking. And, of course, the shopping! We would recommend this tour- 5 stars!!!!

We were picked up directly in front of our airbnb promptly at 6:45am by our driver, Pietro, and our guide Antoinetta. Our van had 4 guests. We stopped at a convenience store for coffee and bathroom breaks prior to moving along to Pompeii where we met another van of 4 or 5 people. Our guide at Pompeii was extremely knowledgeable about the area and its history, and took us on a different route than the masses so we often had an area to ourselves while he showed us everything. After Pompeii, we left for Positano, where Antoinetta had booked us tables at La Pergola. The food was absolutely incredible - we had the Fried Calamari, Oysters, 2 pasta dishes and a pizza (which we took home). Highly recommend all, as well as a Positano Spritz to go alongside the food. After lunch, we had free time to shop. We then were to meet at a designated time for Limoncello tasting before starting a full drive down the Almafi Coast. Pietro is a PRO driver along Almafi! Long day, but well worth it!! Disclaimer for those with knee/hip/weight issues (such as myself): Wear comfortable shoes, be ready to walk up and down many steps and inclines/declines and bring a portable electric fan! It was extremely hot all day long, but the air conditioned van helped :) Highly recommend this tour!

Driver did an excellent job of going thru small passages etc. Monica was great too. We got to see a lot. The guide at Pompeii was not really into the tour as he kept looking at his phone. I know we missed parts such as brothels as we have been before. Good experience

We were traveling as a group of 15 family members. Welcome Italy provided us with 3 minivans each with a driver and a guide. We all had a fantastic time and we learned a lot. The guide in my van , Nicholas and our Driver Giordano were friendly, very professional and personable. Nicholas took care of everything and he and his colleagues made everything run smoothly. Our guide Paolo at Pompeii was excellent too, he had a vast breadth of knowledge and shared many interesting facts, trivia and stories about Pompeii and Roman history. The drivers were all excellent, quick to help us in and out of the vehicles (we were traveling with a couple of senior citizens) and they were treated with the utmost care. The scenery along the drive to and from the Amalfi coast is beautiful and our drivers handled the roads and traffic very professionally (driving along some of the roads is not for the faint of heart) so our thanks to Giordano and his colleagues for transporting us safely and comfortably. I would highly recommend this tour , it was a terrific day we learned a lot and had fun.

Bait and Switch

I went on this tour 7/16 and it was missing the boat ride from Positano to Amalfi which was in the description, reviews and photos when I booked the tour a month or so ago. And it was the main reason why I booked THIS tour because it fell on my birthday and what a great way to spend it on a boat as part of the tour. When we got to Positano, the operator said that there was no boat, just the van. I said it was in the description and the night before even when I looked and our time I Positano was 2 hours not 3. It is changed now. He said also said that after Postiano, we would be going to the beach on Amalfi> for an hour and we just drove through it ( the driver said “There’s Amalfi” ) and we never stopped at another town for our second part of the tour. No Limoncello tasting as advertised. And our driver drove way too fast, tailgating other cars and almost rear ended someone and the Operator hardly talked to us. We sat in awkward silence in the van instead of him telling us about the region, what to expect and didn’t engage with anyone. The van was too small for the amount of people in there and I couldn’t see anything or able to take photos because I was in the middle of the van and other people were in the way. It was a long ride and a bigger van or bus would’ve been more appropriate for the price. We did a tour of Florence and Tuscany with 6 people a few days earlier and we had a large van where each couple got their own row so they could see the countryside. The operator was engaging and we actually got more than promised on this tour for less money than what this one cost us. Also, in Pompeii we had to walk a ways to the van where other operators were picking their group up and our guide didn’t give us time to go into the gift shop to have time to get souvenirs in Pompeii. I tried contacting them and they dismissed my concerns and denied my request for a partial refund. I guess for 600.00, I was expecting more.

Any photographs depicting boat excursions, which you may have seen, refer to customized private tours, chosen by other guests who independently opted to add this service at an additional cost. It is therefore not part of the services offered in the standard group tour. With regard to the additional concerns you raised, we would like to point out that we have already provided you with detailed explanations through our previous email correspondence. Our team responded promptly, thoroughly, and courteously to each of your questions and remarks. We are deeply disheartened to receive a review which, despite our efforts to communicate openly and clearly, we believe does not accurately reflect the services rendered, and which may give a misleading impression of our company. Best day of our time in Rome! Our driver Manuel was amazing! We felt very safe the entire time. Jazzy, our ride guide was extremely personable and knowledgeable. He made the experience fun and catered to our needs. Our Pompeii guide Francesco was also wonderful. He was passionate about Pompeii and did a wonderful job teaching us the history. We were picked up at our hotel room and were taken with another couple in a comfortable minibus. Our guide was very nice and kind. Once in Pompeii, however, the local guide was difficult to understand as he did not speak very good English. In addition, he ran around in the difficult-to-maneuver ruins, so we lost him several times and missed parts of the tour. But the rest was magical and really worth the price - highly recommended!

Definitely Worth Doing

We had a great time on this trip. My mother who is deathly afraid of heights went with us too. Our driver, Luigi, was awesome and if you have been to Rome or Amalfi you know it takes a special person to drive these roads. If you are afraid of heights ask your doc for some meds and sit behind the driver and if your driver is as good as Luigi you won’t have issues. Our local guide in Pompeii was fantastic. For 82 years old, he was quick. Learned a few things that we didn’t know before. As with most guided tours they are quick, yet you learn a lot. We had a couple hours there, but could’ve spent an entire day. Depending on the time of year, I recommend taking sandals, a suit, and towel. Although we didn’t have much time, my son and I took a swim in the Mediterranean Sea. Didn’t have a change a clothes and didn’t have enough time to fully dry off. The sand is blazing hot, which is why you’ll want sandals.
