My son and I had an amazing day and would highly recommend this Amalfi and Pompeii trip with Zahir and Romelo as guides. Very personalized tour with exceedingly knowledgeable and friendly gentlemen leading it. Zahir was very experienced and knew exactly how to taylor the timing to avoid the most crowded times of day to visit the sites. This company gets my highest praise and recommendation!

Romelo!! Hope you get Romelo!! I was least looking forward to going to Pompeii. Admittedly, I had a very myopic view of the ruins prior to our visit. Thought we we would walk around looking at a bunch of ruins, ho-hum. That was NOT the case with Romelo. He thoroughly enjoys his work and his enthusiasm is infectious. He is a wonderful teacher. He started before we got into the ruins proper. He showed us what they believed WAS the seawall BEFORE the explosion. He pointed from the wall to the sea ~11-12 miles distant just to give us some perspective how much the explosion changed the landscape. Incredible. We were hooked from the start. He described how the road we were walking on were made of huge, conical volcanic rock turned upside down. The rocks made a straight road. The rocks held their slope for proper drainage of rain. Oh. And this road has lasted 1000's of years, survived a massive volcanic eruption, and now endure 10's of 1000's daily visitors! Incredible precision of engineering. Such was Romulo's passion for his presentation. It came across effortlessly for him. He pointed out Pompeii had: Door dash; Yelp reviews; Radiant heating in public spaces; Reflectors in their streets only they used reflective rocks. On and on He pointed out the daily lives of the people of Pompeii. Our tour lasted two hours and covered only a very small portion of the city. But Romulo's presentation was so interesting and packed so full of information he ignited interest into further self-study of Pompeii and made me want to return in the future to explore again. Only the next time I will be much more interested and informed. Best part of the trip!! Seriously. I should add that it rained, A LOT, the day we visited Pompeii and the Amalfi Coast. The rain added to our visit to Pompeii; the rain ruined our visit to the Amalfi Coast. It made seeing Mount Vesuvius as the threat it remains and a wonder to behold during brief periods of sun. Our trip to Amalfi was fraught with rain and fog. The drive thru Napoli was no joke. I am glad we had a professional driver; I wouldn't want to drive amongst those familiar with driving around Napoli. I've never seen anything like it. Our driver had to use all of his mirrors at all times because we never knew where another driver would appear. (No. I didn't know our driver's name. He didn't introduce himself at our meeting place. He was really late to our rendevous; I think due to the others in our group being late to their rendezvous so I have to show him some grace. That being said, he was a skilled driver. I am glad he was familiar with the roads we traveled. He was NOT a good guide. Barest of information provided. Again, the roads were perilous I didn't want to bother asking him questions while we drove.) By the time we got to the Amalfi, we were ready to walk. We were off. We had a little more than three hours to explore the city we were in. It was packed with tourists from all over. It started with a drizzle. Then it started to POUR! Therein we got to experience the problems Italy/Italians have with tourism. There wasn't enough space for everyone to get out of the rain. Small businesses were packed with people. Sure it was a boon for their business and thankfully people had enough tact to be gracious with their fellow travelers, but it was uncomfortable. We wore rain coats, but they drained onto our pants soaking them. Our shoes got soaked due to the amount of rain we received while we were there. And believe it or not the traffic became more of an issue! It was terrible. My memory of the Amalfi Coast is NOT a positive one. Not the company's fault, but it's real. Hope this helps someone. The Amalfi Coast is beautiful. It is picturesque. I am sure a lot of people have fond memories. Just know the Amalfi Coast is NOT a secret and it isn't easy to access. It is downright perilous. One last thing. If you are a World War II buff, we passed Monte Cassino on the way back to Rome! (The way there the abbey was obscured by fog.) Italy was an amazing site to see. Description didn't mention this. Oh, one last thing about Romulo and Pompeii and WWII, he showed us the scars the ruins suffered during a bombing raid from the war. Take care and safe travels.

Very scenic trip to Amalfi. Pompeii was rich in history. Our driver, Zahir was very knowledgeable and friendly and he made our trip very special. The guide at Pompeii, Romolo, was well versed and he explained it very well. I would recommend if you get carsick easily to take something for it before the trip. I was glad I chose the private tour because Zahir made sure to help us out in every way possible.

This was THE PERFECT day trip from Rome. Zahir was our tour guide and he was amazing in every way. Before the trip I reached out with some questions and he promptly answered them all. The morning of the trip he picked us up from our hotel and we stopped for a lovely breakfast. We had a comfortable drive to Amalfi during which he told us some interesting facts and history about the area. We stopped at some places to take some nice pictures and had a refreshing snack. Once we arrived in Amalfi he showed us where we could go to take a boat tour, go to the beach, and some local places to have lunch. We had plenty of free time to walk around and explore the city of Amalfi. We then continued on to Pompeii which was great going a little later in the day because the sun wasn’t as hot. Our guide at Pompeii was awesome. He was so friendly and knowledgeable about the history of the city. Having a private tour guide really made this an unforgettable experience, especially for my 10yo daughter. The whole trip from beginning to end was worth every penny and then some! Zahir was a great driver, tour guide, and photographer. If you’re thinking about going to Pompeii I HIGHLY RECOMMEND booking the trip with Zahir. You will definitely make some lifelong memories!!

Made so many great memories on this trip thanks to our wonderful guide/driver Adrian. He picked us up promptly and took us to enjoy a lovely Roman breakfast before setting off for Pompeiii. On the drive, he shared tips on how to get the most out of our day. On arrival at Pompeii, Andrian introduced us to Romelo, our guide, who was incredibly knowledgeable, warm, funny, and passionate about imparting how advanced the citizens on Pompeii were. After Pompeii, we left for a fun drive to Amalifi, and on arrival, Andrian showed us where we could book a cruise, ship, and grab a bite to eat. We all felt we had ample time to explore Amalifi and left on time to ensure we made it back to Rome by 8:30 pm. Book the tour with Andrian and Romelo, you won't regret it.:)

If you are in Rome and want a day trip to Amalfi coast and Pompeii, this is a very good option. The owner is super responsive, I reached out a couple of times before the trip with questions and I had a response within minutes. Our experience was amazing; from the pickup in the morning to the drop-off at the end of the day, everything was executed perfectly. Sarkhan, our guide, was very friendly and went out of his way to make sure our family was comfortable and enjoyed the trip. The drive to Amalfi City is beautiful, it is a quaint coastal town, with an amazing coastline (breathtaking views). We enjoyed the stop in Pompeii as well. The guided tour made a big difference. Rather than the just staring at archaeological artifacts, we had a guide that gave us so much insight into what we were looking at. This is a company that cares about what they are doing and it shows in their efforts. We truly had a great experience. I would highly recommend them to anyone that is looking for a day trip from Rome to Amalfi.

This trip was amazing! Such a wonderful way to see a lot of places if you are short on time in Italy. We had a private car versus being on a crowded tour bus, our driver Zaire knew great places to take us that a large tour would not be able to go. The tour guide, Romolo, in Pompeii was wonderful, he knew so much Bout the history and gave us a fantastic tour. It was great to know he grew up in the area and many of his families generations lived in the area too. After Pompeii, the drive along the Amalfi Coast was beautiful. Zaire suggested the boat ride when we entered the town and that was also lovely. We spent some time in the town before heading back to Roma. Wonderful experience!
