Lisbon is beautiful, but let’s be honest, those hills are not playing around. The electric tuk-tuk was the perfect way to cover serious ground without feeling like you just completed a military ruck march. We were able to glide through the historic center, Bairro Alto, Chiado, and beyond, effortlessly bouncing from one incredible viewpoint to the next. Andrea was the real star of the show. She had this dynamic, energetic personality that made the entire experience feel alive from start to finish. Her knowledge of Lisbon wasn’t just surface-level facts, it was deep, insightful, and delivered in a way that actually made you care about what you were seeing. And then there was the unexpected bonus… she’s basically a local celebrity. Other guides lit up when they saw her, waving, smiling, calling out to her like she was Lisbon royalty. That alone told us everything we needed to know about her reputation. The tour itself was perfectly tailored. No rigid script, no rushing. Just a well-paced, thoughtfully curated experience that hit all the highlights while still feeling personal. The stops were fantastic, the viewpoints were unforgettable, and yes… the Pasteis de Belém absolutely lived up to the hype. One insider tip you should absolutely follow: if Andrea (or your guide) offers to take you to the Secret Garden bar, go. No hesitation. Grab an adult beverage, sit back, and take in one of the best views in Lisbon. We are so glad we booked a private tour because although we could have got the train to Sintra this tour took us to places we would have missed. The Pena Palace in Sintra was spectacular but we also went to Cascais, a lovely town on the coast and then to Cabo de Roca which was absolutely stunning. Our tour guide then took us to a lovely restaurant overlooking the sea where we had a leisurely lunch and definitely the best food we had while in Lisbon. Would definitely recommend.

An amazing and insightful walking tour around Lisbon centre.

Our guide Claudia was amazing on this tour. We started in the tour in the Praca de Comercio square. Be weary there were other tour guides operating at the meeting point with orange umbrellas, but as we booked on Viator, Claudia had our names on her list to confirm we were with her when we approached. The tour lasted 2.5 hours and took us from the square to Rossio and Baxia-Chaido. We visited a number of places and stopped frequently whilst Claudia explained the history and interesting insights of Lisbon. We visited a church, saw the fountains, stopped up for a traditional cherry liquor called ginjinha - so don't forget to take some euros with you. The principle of the tour is that it's free, but you do tip the guide in cash at the end as they have given up their time to take you around and having that local knowledge early on in your stay is so beneficial for your visit. We definitely re-visited a few places after the tour. Overall we enjoyed this tour and would definitely do something like this again.

Great tour!

We explored two vineyards on the vineyard tour from Lisbon. It was great to access vineyards that I normally would not have been able to access without a car in Lisbon. The wines were flavorful while the vineyards were fantastic and welcoming. Xavier made the trip perfect despite the hurricane/storm that was battering Lisbon at the time. We booked the English-speaking tour and Xavier's spoke perfect American-English.

What to do on a wet day in lisbon

Well what fun we had on here. Pedro and The Captain were very entertaining and enthusiastic throughout the whole trip. It was a really great experience despite choosing a cold, wet day to do this. Definitely recommend this if you want a nice relaxed, spacious, seated view of the streets of Lisbon. Other tours have been packed in like a literal sardine and views, zero. The trip up the Tagus,to see the tower and monument at Belem was wonderful . So nice to see it towards land for a change.
