It was fine. Stood around a lot, and in some not so nice places. Walked straight through tourist spots, but nothing interesting was there. Didn’t go into Alfama

A very informative walk with a guide who was willing to answer all questions and help you out with local suggestions. We learned so much about the history of the city on this tour and would highly recommend it!

Thiago made this walking tour an outstanding introduction to Lisbon. As a former history teacher, he brought the city’s past to life with fascinating stories, historical context, and details we never would have learned on our own. He was incredibly knowledgeable, friendly, and engaging, and he took the time to answer everyone’s questions along the way. The pace was perfect, and we left with a much better understanding of Lisbon’s history, neighborhoods, and culture. We highly recommend this tour, especially if you can get Thiago as your guide!

Tiago was very knowledgeable, he shared his in depth knowledge in an interesting and at times humorous way which helped keep the children interested. It was a very warm day and he kept us in shade as much as possible. Highly recommend!!

Our guide Kleiver (my apologies if I mispelled it!) was great! We enjoyed the 2.5 hours walking around two neighborhoods and listening to all explanations from our friendly guide. I will definitely book it again to discover the other neighborhoods of Lisbon.

I landed in Lisbon only a couple hours prior and was exhausted but trying to stay awake. This was the perfect way to do that. Jose knew SO much and conveyed the history and drama of Lisbon's past in an engaging way, stopping at all the right points. He easily entertained questions (I'm one of those people) and sent us recommendations after the fact. He was also respectful of the glaring late afternoon sun and tried to keep us in the shade as much as possible. Despite being exhausted, this was fantastic!

Katarina was an excellent guide. She infused humor with great story telling. She is knowledgeable about the history of Lisbon and the two hour walk covered many major architectural landmarks. She included a couple spots to sit out of the sun. Well paced, informative and a great start to our visit to Lisbon. My only suggestion is that. Viator should not leave the cost optional. Some visitors took advantage of the payment structure.

Very informative walking tour with lots of history and recommendations for restaurants etc. The guide walked at a great pace, not too fast which was needed with how hilly Lisbon is.

Two major issues: 1. we paid Viator full price as it should be on booking , but at the end,, the guide asked for $10 EU for each person for the tour. I did not see anywhere on Viator indicated that we need pay extra to the guide, not even tips. It’s a very unpleasant surprise. 2. The guide told us tour would start at 10:05, we took a picture at the same area, but when we turned back at 10:06, could not find the group. I wish the guide could keep her orange umbrella open for a little longer. She should have known someone was missing from her group. Even though the group was still around the area, but with so many tourists it’s hard to identify where the group at without any obvious object.

First of all, it is described on the description of the tour that this is a PAY AS YOU WISH TOUR.
At the beginning of the tour, our guides explain to the group how does it work and give an idea of the recommended tip. It surprises me that you are complaining for paying 1 euro, perhaps you are in favour of modern slavery.
Second, you met the guide and did not come back.
The group was big so it's hard for the guide to tell if you are there or not. Everybody else was there, which means other people were very clear about the instructions to be back on time.

We did this tour on the day we arrived to Lisbon. It was a great way to get a lay of the land and learn history. It was a great 2 hour tour. Kate was wonderful!

Tiago was an exceptional guide who brought the history, culture and love for his city to life for all of us in his tour group. He went the extra yards to show us some absolutely hidden gems, shared with us knowledge only available to locals and we were all greatly enriched because of his wonderful sharing nature.
