We had a tasty day with Rod visiting 3 wineries in the Setubal area. He was very knowledgeable about all the wines we sampled. We visited a large winery, a small family winery and a large wine store that sold all the wines from the area. The weather was sunny and most wines were very good.

Our time with Rodrigo was excellent and we’d take another tour with him. He was friendly, knowledgeable of the areas we visited, has a strong knowledge of wine and wine making and was quite the historian. We visited 2 lovely family-owned wineries and had a great time learning about the families. Rodrigo took us to a local family-owned restaurant where the food was delicious. We talked an d enjoyed Rodrigo’s company the entire time.

This was one of the best tours we have ever been on. Ricardo was fabulous. We went to two wineries. One very large and one small. Enjoyed both. We then had a fantastic lunch at a small restaurant. The seafood was fantastic. Throughly enjoyed every moment of this tour. I would highly recommend this tour.

Great wineries and great food. Our tour guide Ricardo was brilliant and very accommodating. He was very knowledgeable and great to talk to. The first winery was old and traditional with huge output. The second was new and establishing itself, yet the wine was great. We chose the lunch option which turned out to be a treat…and we also met up with another small group at lunch which made it all the more better. Highly recommended.

WOW!! What a perfect morning/afternoon trip! We went about 30-45 minutes outside of Lisbon and it was great to take a break from the city and see some beautiful smaller towns. We opted to visit 3 wineries and all of them were super cool. It started with a bigger one which included cellars, a small museum, and guided tour. Then we went to a small, local place that was super homey and cute. There we had some charcuterie, several wines, and chatted with the owner. This was definitely my fav, we had such great conversations about Portugal, wine, and everything else. Lastly, we went to a big place that had wines from multiple different wineries and tried 5 of them. The selection picked out, by our guide, was awesome and tailored to our tastes. The weather was great, so we sat out on the patio and got to soak in the area (and the sun!).
Joao was our guide and he was truly amazing! Me and my boyfriend had a great time talking to him throughout our day, literally talking about everything. He was like an encyclopedia 🤣 Any questions we had, about culture, wine, language, or anything else, he had great information on. He made sure to point out things as we drove between the towns and give us insight about all the wineries and regions. The car was comfortable and the drive was smooth.
Could not recommend this enough. It was the highlight of our visit and we’ve already told some friends visiting soon that they need to go! Thank you Joao and all the people at the wineries we met 🩵

Our guide Rodrigo made the trip so very memorable with his humour and knowledge of wine making and Portugal. We were celebrating our 50th wedding anniversary and one of the wine makers gave my wife a small bouquet which made us all quite emotional. Would recommend this trip for good wines and hospitality of the first order.

Ricardo is engaging, personable, knowledgeable, and so attentive. My husband and I enjoyed our day with Ricardo immensely. The day was fabulous from the moment he picked us up, to our stop for a coffee before our wine tours, to his sharing of knowledge about wine and Portugal, his recommendations for lunch, and just overall friendly conversation. I would highly recommend, actually encourage, a trip with Ricardo. It will be a highlight of your time in Lisbon.

Joao was a great tour guide during our unknowingly private tour to 3 vineyards. I personally was not feeling 100% well due to a lingering sickness/lack of sleep but he made me feel comfortable and made sure we were enjoying our time. Joao was knowledgeable in all things wine and beyond! He picked us up and dropped us off at our Airbnb which was nice. Obrigada!

My wife and I had a wonderful time. Our guide was Rod, who picked us up at our hotel and drove us to Setúbal. We had a chance to talk on the ride over to our first tasting. We ended up doing three tastings - they were a great mix, from a large commercial operation to a small production/boutique winery where we spent time with the winemaker (who was a very nice person!). Overall, we enjoyed our time with Rod, the wineries chosen were perfect, and the transportation and timing was flawless. We'd highly recommend!

The driver Ricardo picked us up from our hotel, very easy to talk to, had great recommendations and honestly made the tour top tier. He was so friendly, made it really a private tour and even took the liberty to reserve a tanle for us to sit down and have our wines and got us the seabass ready for when we got there we had no wait. I rate this 100/10, I recommend him and this tour fully.

We absolutely loved our tour with Ricardo. We were picked up near our hotel and taken to both a more commercialized winery as well as a smaller winery. I loved seeing the cork trees. We chose the lunch option and the recommendation of the seabass was a hit with the friends I was traveling with. Our guide was full of knowledge and made sure we had plenty of time at each location. The farm winery was hands down our favorite and we would have stayed longer if we could have.

Booked a wine tasting day through Viator, and Rodrigo was our driver. He picked us up and it was just my friend and I, and became a very personal experience. We talked about culture, politics and languages during our 40 minutes to the vineyards. A true wine connoisseur if I must say. By the second stop her knew exactly what wine to pick for us during our tasting. And in the small little town of Pamela we had lunch at this small quaint but busy restaurant. The fish was delicious and everyone who worked there very hospitable and friendly. We loved our experience!! And would recommend this tour to my friend and family. Thank you so much Rodrigo, I can’t wait to open my bottle of Alambre when I get home, and I am not sharing! 😜

Our wine tasting tour in the Setubal wine region outside of Lisbon was exceptional. Ricardo was very knowledgeable providing not only information about the wines in the region, but also the food, history and culture of the area. This was phenomenal all thanks to Ricardo. I’ve done a few experiences like this one and Ricardo exceeded my expectations. He was so kind and attentive to all of us and we enjoyed our conversations with him immensely. His knowledge of wine and Portugal helped guide our experience and we enjoyed a lovely day at all the wineries. We never felt rushed and always taken care of. It was a day to remember for myself, mother and sister.

We had a fabulous day with Vasco visiting the Setúbal wine region. He served as host, guide and at one time pouring assistant as he shared with us knowledge of the local wines and in particular the Quinte De Alcube property. His English was excellent so we all were able to easily engage. He was even kind enough to make a side trip to a genuine tile factory so we could get authentic local tiles. I strongly recommend this tour and especially Vasco.

The wine tour was awesome. The lunch stop afterwards was horrible. I would do three wine stops with snacks and skip the lunch. The lunch spot is not air conditioned and very slow. You don't really get a choice of food and the food was just ok.

First of all, thank you for your feedback. Sad that you did not like the lunch part of the tour, and we are sorry for that.
Yes, you are right, the air conditioning did not work well, as we are having a big heat wave in Portugal (above 100Fº) and it is difficult to keep the vehicles and locations cool. Sorry for that.
Regarding the menu, there is non, as they are a fisherman family and offer what they fish the night before. They do not know what they will get.
Not a very big variety, true, but all is fresh and 100% local (from the ocean cost line of the region).
We will try to improve on some details and again thank you for your honest feedback.
