Informative,free flowing alcohol,could do with better meal options

Very informative,relaxed and professional We all really enjoyed the day,it was only a small group which gave everyone space to enjoy the tour and surroundings. The tour guide had good english and made it very interesting,the train was only short but the boat trip was longer with lots of bubbly. The only down sides were the wine tasting was early,lunch options not to everyones taste..fish with the head&bones,sadly veal😢 Veg option was salad&potatos so not much food to soak in all the alcohol.

Amazing tailor-made experience

Wonderful experience! Andreia and Valdemar are great hosts; learning about and visiting the different small vineyards of the region was an absolute treat, and all of the sites offered something different. We opted for the 2 vineyards visit and a boat tour from Pinhão, but still had the opportunity to sample some port in the 3rd vineyard. A delicious local meal was had for lunch, which was the equal to any meal we've had so far in Portugal. Would recommend again, this was definitely my best day of the year so far!

Beautiful scenery. Incredible tour guide, Lilly explained the reason Port Wine from this region is magical and so delicious. The topography and weather combine to form a micro climate perfect for producing the best grapes. Also the lunch was spectacular set with an unmatched view. We loved this tour, including a quaint train ride and station with Portuguese tiles depicting the historical story of Pinhao. Thumbs up from all 8 of us!

Don’t miss this tour with Andreia and Valdemar!

We had a wonderful day with Andreia as our tour guide and her husband, Valdemar as our driver! We got to experience 3 different small wineries with very different winemaking styles and tastes. We learned so much both from the actual wineries but also from Andrieia along the drive. The Duoro Valley is absolutely stunning and loaded with history. They also took us to 2 stunning overlooks for incredible views. A wonderful lunch of local cuisine was also included. This tour surpassed all other wine tours that we’ve ever had and we’ve done a ton of them around the world. Valdemar was an excellent driver! There were some crazy roads that he drove like an expert…thank you for our safety! The couple that was also on the tour had some concerns (car sickness and heights) and were taken well care of by Valdemar and Andreia. Their comfort was always top concern. I can’t say enough positive things… the whole day was amazing! I know we can’t control who you get as a guide on this trip, but they can make or break the enjoyment. We are so happy we got them…and no, I am not her mother!! 😊

Take an hour to relax and enjoy the beautiful scenery!

Relaxing boat ride (for about 12 people) with a nice canopy to keep you shaded. We went at noon on a lovely sunny day in mid-March. The scenery is absolutely beautiful! Our tour guide Bruno spoke English and Portuguese and shared a lot of interesting and fun information. The chance to taste of one of the local Port wines was a nice bonus. I’d recommend checking the temperature before you go and bring a light jacket or sweater because it can become a little cooler out on the river. There IS parking available close to the river and dock, so don’t be afraid to follow your GPS down the narrow road.

This is the absolutely best way to spend a day in Douro Valley. This is my second time taking this tour and both times with Vasco and he is amazing! The sites, the stories, the food, and of course, the wine all made for an absolutely fantastic day. Well worth it, and you won’t regret it.

Thanks for a great time!

Our trip started off with a wonderful boat ride which was a perfect way to see some of the wineries, the river and briefly learn about the history of the Douro valley. Then had a great experience from the minute that Angie picked up! She was lovely and very knowledgeable. She took us to the Croft winery where we had a wonderful tour led by Marguretta. We then had some port tastings and Angie drive us back directly to our hotel. We were very lucky because we had booked a group tour but it ended up being private. Angie was very friendly and gave us tips at places to go in the area. I highly recommend this trip! Thanks for a great time!
