We had an excellent experience exploring Obidos, Nazare, and Porto. Francisco is a wealth of information and very personable. He offered recommendations for our vacation beyond those on the tour. He was fanatic and our driver Luis was amazing too. We had very comfortable accommodations. They both earned 5 Stars! I would highly recommend this tour!

Paulo and Porto! Amazing!

Wonderful trip! Our tour guide, Paulo, was exceptional! Recommend joining him for the extra lunch in Porto. The food was amazing! Highly recommend this tour! - James

Too Much, Too Little bad Guide

michael_w, Mar 2026
Too much too little. Taking this tour is too much info in too little time. You are riding in the bus more than you are touring. There is plenty to do in Porto and should be an overnight or separately planned trip. Our tour guide made the experience even less fun.

great variety of places to see. George our guide was very informative and interesting to talk to. Loved visiting Nazarre to see the beautiful beaches. And Porto was special with the Douro River and the deep valley which it has created for thousands of years. The old medieval part of the city is so glamorous, narrow streets, and a place that is a "must" place to see.

Perfect day trip from Lisbon when you’re time is limited

Laura_H, Mar 2026
Very hurried but we knew that going in so not unexpected! Great and easy way to see a bit of Portugal outside of Lisbon. Our guide Paul was awesome and spoke both English and Spanish, switching back and forth with ease. He kept the group informed throughout the day and kept us on schedule. He always offered to take pictures and did a great job! If you’re short on time when you are in Portugal, it is a great way to see a lot in one day!

Three unique cities!

Horrible, the tour left without 5 people

Julie_N, Mar 2026
Horrible! We had trouble getting an uber to morning of the tour. I was looking for a number/tour guide information in order to call to say we were running late and there was nothing. We got there at 8:03 and the tour had already left! There were 3 other women who got there are 8:02 and they were also left behind and the driver looked right at them!! I understand that punctuality is important and the tour was supposed to leave at 8, but they were missing 5 people and didn't even try to contact us. We also had our luggage because this was the way we were getting to Porto!! I called a number I finally found and it was in Spain. he connected me to a local person and that guy said nothing could be done. I asked if we could meet up with the tour in the first city, Obedos. He said it wouldn't work. He was not helpful until I said we could make our way to Porto so we could have lunch that we paid for ahead of time, and the Porto portion of the tour. So we did that. Lunch was really good, but the tour guide, Roberto, was not. The Porto portion of the tour was maybe 4 or 5 stops, about 45 minutes, then a free half hour before heading back to Lisbon. The guide had no personality at all and just gave us some facts. You're better off booking a free Guru tour which are always wonderful

Response from Host, Mar 2026

Dear Guest Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We are truly sorry to hear that you got late to the meeting point. Our check-in begins at 7:45 AM, and the bus departs at 8:00 AM. This information is clearly provided at the time of booking on the platform, included again in the confirmation email, and a reminder is also sent the day before the tour. As much as we sympathize with situations such as transportation delays, we do need to respect the schedule and the time of the other participants who arrived on time, as well as the operational timings required to complete the full itinerary. Regarding communication, we understand your concern about not having a direct number for the guide. For operational reasons, all communication is centralized through our support team, who are available to assist guests when needed. In this case, once we were contacted, our team did their best to provide guidance so you could rejoin the group in Porto and enjoy the lunch and part of the tour. We are pleased to hear that you enjoyed the lunch, but we are sorry that the Porto portion of the tour and the experience with the guide did not meet your expectations even thouhgt is an experienced tour guide. Nevertheless, we take all comments seriously and will review your feedback with him to better understand what may have happened during the tour. We would also like to clarify, respectfully, that this review follows a refund request that was unfortunately declined due to late arrival at the meeting point, which falls under our standard policy. However, whenever a guest misses a tour for this reason, we always offer the possibility to rebook the tour on another date at no additional cost, subject to availability. We genuinely regret that this situation affected your overall impression of the tour and appreciate you bringing your concerns to our attention. Kind regards,

Lovely Tour

We booked the guided tour with our guide Francisco Maia! He has a wealth of knowledge on Portuguese history and culture. He was patiently explaining instructions to us on whats to come and what to look out for. He would repeat instructions for the benefit of everyone. What a great guide! We started our tour in Obidos where we saw the quaint town and church. We could travel up to higher paths to get a birds eye view of the city. This was followed by a visit to Nazare where we got to see a Cathedral and a beautiful view of the beach. We then went to Porto where Francisco guided us through every stop explaining the significance of the minutest of details whether the Avenue of Allies, The S. Bento Train Station and all the way to Luis Bridge. Francisco also organised a great lunch for us where we had delicious Portuguese tapas. All in all a complete delight!

Worth it

Jolanta_Z, Mar 2026
This tour was worth it. You get to see a lot in 1 day. Lots to see in all 3 places. Francisco and the driver did a fantastic job keeping everyone safe and on schedule. Very kind and professional. One thing I wish we could have experienced was walking along the river in Porto and having some time to take the aerial tram, which is one of the biggest attractions in the city (fyi you can do this on your own if you choose to break away from the group and are savvy with maps, Whats App, have internet, etc.)

Great cruise, incredible crew

Melissa_B, Feb 2026
This was a fantastic cruise, we loved it. We went at the end of February and it was a sunny day & warm in the sun. The wind was a bit crisp that day, I should have brought a jacket. Archer & Beatrice were a fantastic crew, we got some history, recommendations of what to do along the shoreline areas & the lunch was really good.

Wonderful trip

Very comprehensive and interesting, full of beautiful images. All three cities were very nice to visit. Johnny, our guide, was exceptional.

Christine_N, Jan 2026
Overall, the tour was okay. Obidos and Nazare were beautiful however we felt rushed in Porto which is the highlight of the tour. Wish we had more time to explore. If I had to do it all over again, I would take the speed train to Porto and spend more time there because there is so much to do and see. Walking tour was a little insignificant.

Fun day from Lisbon to 3 other cities!

Jasleen_K, Jan 2026
What a lovely experience this was! Paulo and his entire team are very kind and polite. Your good experience is their ultimate priority! The weather was a bit rough- tons of rain but the tour went through successfully and I highly recommend anyone visiting Lisbon for a day to try this out!! It’ll be an experience of a lifetime.

Cari_M, Jan 2026
ricardo dias is a wonderful tour guide. he’s very engaging and funny. he’s well organized and keeps the group on schedule. the only downside is that the trip is very long, 8:00 am until 9:00 pm, most of it spent on the bus. it’s a great way to get out of Lisbon and see the countryside. you will have a nice time if you’re up for the long hours

Poor group management — multiple guests left behind

P_E, Jan 2026
This tour ended very badly due to unsafe and unprofessional group management by the guide. The Porto portion of the tour started after lunch at around 3:30 pm. During the latter part of the tour, the guide was moving very quickly, and six guests became separated from the main group. We eventually found one another again at the starting point of the Porto portion of the tour. At that point, the guide told us words to the effect that “this is the tallest place in Porto, so you won’t get lost if you are here.” From around 4:00 pm, we remained at that location as instructed and attempted to contact the tour operator through the Viator platform, but received no response. The first contact we received from the guide was only at 5:17 pm, when he instructed us to “stay there, don’t move” while he sorted out logistics. We followed this instruction and continued waiting at the same location. No clear meeting point or follow-up instructions were provided after that. Despite this, the guide and the rest of the group departed without us. We attempted to call and message multiple times with no response and waited for over an hour in total. This was stressful and felt unsafe. We were eventually forced to arrange and pay for our own transport back. The operator later described this as a miscommunication and offered a partial refund, but the situation should never have occurred. Leaving multiple guests behind without guidance or assistance is unacceptable. A tour guide has a clear duty to manage pace, keep the group together, and ensure all guests are safely accounted for, especially at the end of a tour.

Great overview of three iconic destinations — with smart expectations

Marina_R, Jan 2026
This tour is a great combo if you want to see Porto, Nazaré, and Óbidos in one day. It’s definitely a highlights reel rather than a deep dive, but if you go in knowing time is limited, it’s absolutely worth it. My one tip: plan lunch strategically. I wish I’d grabbed something quick to eat on the bus and used the one-hour lunch break for more personal exploration—especially in Porto, which deserves more wandering time. I’d happily come back just to spend a few days there. Huge shoutout to John, our tour guide—fantastic energy, very knowledgeable, and genuinely funny (the kind that keeps a long day enjoyable). He did an excellent job balancing history, logistics, and humor. Overall, a solid way to make the most of a short trip and get inspired for a return visit—Porto, I’m looking at you.

Long Day Trip

Vanessa_S, Jan 2026
First, this was a long day trip. Took us almost 14 hours from pickup to drop off. Make sure to read what this tour includes and the very detailed itinerary. I felt kind of rushed in Obidos. There was no tour guide to explain what the town was about. We were given 45 minutes to stroll around this town all on our own. So if you want to learn something, I suggest to read fun facts from google before seeing the place. Nazare was very disappointing. Nothing really special about the place aside from the “biggest waves” in the world, which in our case, was very calm. The hike alone to the Lighthouse will eat up the whole given time to explore this town. One of the tourists in our group was left behind because we were waiting for her for more than 20 minutes. Poor lady had to take an uber all the way to Porto all on her own. Didn’t even dare to ask how much she paid for it, but she was just glad to make it in Porto. That’s the thing with big tour groups such as this. FOLLOW THE ALLOTTED TIME and be respectful to everyone! Porto, on the other hand was the highlight of this trip. We had our lunch here and had a 1.5 hour walking tour with a very friendly lady named Maria. I enjoyed Porto a lot! Like I said, this trip was very long so be prepared if you plan on taking this tour. Is it worth it? For me it was…somehow!

Excellent!

Excellent tour if you have limited time. We recommend. Francisco was excellent and provided a lot of information.

Francisco was an excellent tour guide — very well managed, always on time, and full of information. He shared a lot of interesting history and local insights while keeping the day organized and comfortable. We felt well taken care of and really enjoyed the experience. Highly recommend!

Tamera_H, Dec 2025
Obidos was very picturesque and a cute quaint town. Nazare had cliffside breathtaking views of the city and beach. The tour guide was great! I wish we had a bit more free time in Porto, but the walking tour does show you all the big sites and you have time to grab lunch on your own. Definitely would recommend! Wear comfortable shoes because it’s a lot of walking.

Three cities / informative and beautiful

Julie_M, Dec 2025
This was a great tour and our tour guide did a really good job. Rui (sp) / Roy was charismatic and had a good sense of humor. The stops on the tour were beautiful. My only complaint is that we didn’t really have much time to explore Porto, the tour was very structured there and you don’t have much time to shop or kick back and enjoy a beverage. Other than that, a great experience! It was a long jam packed day.
