They must be prepared to navigate much of the tour on their 'own" Tour guide often absent for much of it.

Wonderful trip! Our tour guide, Paulo, was exceptional! Recommend joining him for the extra lunch in Porto. The food was amazing! Highly recommend this tour! - James

Too much too little. Taking this tour is too much info in too little time. You are riding in the bus more than you are touring. There is plenty to do in Porto and should be an overnight or separately planned trip.
Our tour guide made the experience even less fun.

great variety of places to see. George our guide was very informative and interesting to talk to. Loved visiting Nazarre to see the beautiful beaches. And Porto was special with the Douro River and the deep valley which it has created for thousands of years. The old medieval part of the city is so glamorous, narrow streets, and a place that is a "must" place to see.

Very hurried but we knew that going in so not unexpected! Great and easy way to see a bit of Portugal outside of Lisbon. Our guide Paul was awesome and spoke both English and Spanish, switching back and forth with ease. He kept the group informed throughout the day and kept us on schedule. He always offered to take pictures and did a great job! If you’re short on time when you are in Portugal, it is a great way to see a lot in one day!

Paul was a very experienced tour guide. He went above and beyond. Very informative and his food recommendations were wonderful! Our driver was outstanding. Great seeing three very different cities outside of Lisbon. I highly recommend this tour.

Horrible! We had trouble getting an uber to morning of the tour. I was looking for a number/tour guide information in order to call to say we were running late and there was nothing. We got there at 8:03 and the tour had already left! There were 3 other women who got there are 8:02 and they were also left behind and the driver looked right at them!! I understand that punctuality is important and the tour was supposed to leave at 8, but they were missing 5 people and didn't even try to contact us. We also had our luggage because this was the way we were getting to Porto!! I called a number I finally found and it was in Spain. he connected me to a local person and that guy said nothing could be done. I asked if we could meet up with the tour in the first city, Obedos. He said it wouldn't work. He was not helpful until I said we could make our way to Porto so we could have lunch that we paid for ahead of time, and the Porto portion of the tour. So we did that. Lunch was really good, but the tour guide, Roberto, was not. The Porto portion of the tour was maybe 4 or 5 stops, about 45 minutes, then a free half hour before heading back to Lisbon. The guide had no personality at all and just gave us some facts. You're better off booking a free Guru tour which are always wonderful

Dear Guest
Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We are truly sorry to hear that you got late to the meeting point.
Our check-in begins at 7:45 AM, and the bus departs at 8:00 AM. This information is clearly provided at the time of booking on the platform, included again in the confirmation email, and a reminder is also sent the day before the tour. As much as we sympathize with situations such as transportation delays, we do need to respect the schedule and the time of the other participants who arrived on time, as well as the operational timings required to complete the full itinerary.
Regarding communication, we understand your concern about not having a direct number for the guide. For operational reasons, all communication is centralized through our support team, who are available to assist guests when needed. In this case, once we were contacted, our team did their best to provide guidance so you could rejoin the group in Porto and enjoy the lunch and part of the tour.
We are pleased to hear that you enjoyed the lunch, but we are sorry that the Porto portion of the tour and the experience with the guide did not meet your expectations even thouhgt is an experienced tour guide. Nevertheless, we take all comments seriously and will review your feedback with him to better understand what may have happened during the tour.
We would also like to clarify, respectfully, that this review follows a refund request that was unfortunately declined due to late arrival at the meeting point, which falls under our standard policy. However, whenever a guest misses a tour for this reason, we always offer the possibility to rebook the tour on another date at no additional cost, subject to availability.
We genuinely regret that this situation affected your overall impression of the tour and appreciate you bringing your concerns to our attention.
Kind regards,

We booked the guided tour with our guide Francisco Maia! He has a wealth of knowledge on Portuguese history and culture. He was patiently explaining instructions to us on whats to come and what to look out for. He would repeat instructions for the benefit of everyone. What a great guide!
We started our tour in Obidos where we saw the quaint town and church. We could travel up to higher paths to get a birds eye view of the city. This was followed by a visit to Nazare where we got to see a Cathedral and a beautiful view of the beach. We then went to Porto where Francisco guided us through every stop explaining the significance of the minutest of details whether the Avenue of Allies, The S. Bento Train Station and all the way to Luis Bridge.
Francisco also organised a great lunch for us where we had delicious Portuguese tapas. All in all a complete delight!

This tour was worth it. You get to see a lot in 1 day. Lots to see in all 3 places. Francisco and the driver did a fantastic job keeping everyone safe and on schedule. Very kind and professional. One thing I wish we could have experienced was walking along the river in Porto and having some time to take the aerial tram, which is one of the biggest attractions in the city (fyi you can do this on your own if you choose to break away from the group and are savvy with maps, Whats App, have internet, etc.)
